Additional Persecution News from China – October 27, 2013 (11 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 11 cities or counties in 7 provinces. According to this report, 4 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during detention, and at least 17 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Dezhou, Shandong Province] Five Practitioners Arrested

Zhang Xikun and other police officers from the Domestic Security Division of the Decheng District Police Department arrested Ms. Cheng Bi, Ms. Liu Yuxiu, Ms. Luo Baoqing, Ms. Sun Xiuhai, and Ms. Guo on the afternoon of September 7, 2013. Ms. Cheng, Ms. Sun, and Ms. Guo have been released. Ms. Liu and Ms. Luo are detained in a detention center.

2. [Jinzhou, Liaoning Province] Eight Falun Gong Practitioners Arrested

Several Jinzhou practitioners were arrested by officers from the Guta District Police Department and the Jingye Police Station for posting Falun Gong materials in a residential area in the Guta District of Jinzhou on the night of October 18, 2013. Mr. Wang Lin, Ms. Wang Guixia, Ms. Qin Jielan, Mr. Yang Yufan, Ms. Zhu Ying, Ms. Cao Yuhuan, and Mr. Sun Lixin were arrested and are being held in the Jinzhou Detention Center.

3. [Lushan County, Henan Province] Mr. Liu Dongfang Arrested

Police officers from the Luoyang Railroad broke into Mr. Liu Dongfang's home and ransacked it on the night of October 25, 2013. They took his computer hard drive, several printers, and several thousand yuan in cash with messages about Falun Gong written the bills. Mr. Liu was arrested.

4. [Beijing] Ms. Liu Zuolan Arrested

Ms. Liu Zuolan was taken to a brainwashing center in the middle of September 2013. She has not been released.

5. [Guanyun County, Jiangsu Province] Mr. Wu Shuyuan Arrested at Home and Taken into Custody on October 16, 2013

6. [Yiyang, Hunan Province] Mr. Liang Jianguo Arrested

Mr. Liang Jianguo from the Datonghu District was recently released after being detained for more than 10 years. He was arrested again on October 24, 213, and is now in the Yiyang Brainwashing Center.

7. [Wuhan, Hubei Province] Ms. Cai Yanping Arrested

Officials of the Cehui College Neighborhood Committee cooperated with officers from the Domestic Security Division of the Wuhan Police Department and personnel from the Lunanjie Administration Office in the Hongshan District to take Ms. Cai Yanping, a retired teacher in her 70s, into custody on the morning of October 22, 2013. Ms. Cai is being held at the Nanhu Hotel in Wuhan.

8. [Xianning, Hubei Province] Mr. Wu Zhonglun Arrested

Mr. Wu Zhonglun from the Xianan District was taken into custody by officers from the 610 Office and personnel from the Nandajie Neighborhood Committee, when he helped his relatives guard a store on the morning of October 22, 2013. He is being held at the Guanbu Drug Rehabilitation Center in the Xianan District.

9. [Chenzhou, Hunan Province] Ms. Fan Liying Arrested

Ms. Fan Liying is in her 40s and a teacher at the Jiguan Kindergarden in the Beihu District, Chenzhou. She was taken into custody by officers from the Chenzhou 610 Office. She was taken to a brainwashing center located in the Behu District Party School and detained for three days.

10. [Mianyang, Sichuan Province] Mr. Xie Chengguo Arrested

Mr. Xie Chenguo was arrested in Chengdu around October 20, 2013. He is being held in Mianyang.

11. [Yichang, Hubei Province] Mr. Hu Zongzhi and Ms. Qiu Min Arrested

Mr. Hu Zongzhi and Ms. Qiu Min are teachers at Sanxia College in Yichang. They were arrested on October 23, 2013. The police also searched their homes. Their whereabouts are unknown.
