(Minghui.org) I obtained the Fa during the course of rescuing my father, which was organized by other fellow practitioners' efforts. I would also like to mention the assistance from the telephone rescue teams.
My father is in his fifties. He was taken away by police in the year that he began practicing Falun Dafa, which had a huge impact on my family. We didn't know any other practitioners in our area. I was shy and cowardly, and my mother was almost blind. Our relatives avoided us. My mother and I didn't know what to do. We simply stayed by the phone hoping to receive information about my father.
One day we received a phone call from a practitioner in Taiwan. He told us not to be scared, and said that my father was great, and that many overseas Falun Dafa practitioners were working to rescue detained practitioners like my father. The Taiwan practitioner was elderly and he did not speak Mandarin very well. I didn't understand him fully, but clearly felt the practitioner's compassion. Such a short phone call became a light in the darkness, giving us support to strengthen our hearts and minds.
My father was released from a forced labor camp a year later. He told me a little about what he went through in the camp, but I could see that it was painful for him to recall those days. My father said he was almost not able to come home. He asked, “Are you afraid that I might be arrested again?” At that time, my father distributed Falun Dafa materials even though he knew little about Dafa. He had not read through the entire book Zhuan Falun before being arrested. I actually had mixed feelings. Of course, I was afraid of losing my father, but I didn't want to stop him from doing what a Dafa practitioner should do.
Less than two years after my father came home, he was arrested again for distributing Falun Dafa materials, and sentenced to four years in prison. The previous time my father was arrested, my worry stemmed mainly from what I had heard about the brutal persecution from Minghui Radio. However, after hearing what my father told me about the brutal torture he suffered, I was very worried this time. I was afraid that I could lose my father at any time. I didn't know how to rescue him, but I would never give up in my mind. I told myself that I would do whatever was helpful and I would show the evil that my family was indestructible.
Master saw this thought of mine and arranged fellow practitioners to help us. A practitioner from Taiwan called us first. She played an important role in rescuing my father. She often called us, and her calls became our spiritual support. I told my mother the content of every phone call, and she also felt relieved.
We later established a connection with local Dafa practitioners. We truly joined with the whole body. Afterwards, I, my mother, my uncle, and my grandparents obtained the Fa one after another. We then worked to rescue my father. When we went to the relevant departments to clarify the truth, the Taiwan practitioner also made phone calls at the same time, which shocked the evil.
One day, the prison arrested me in order to stop me from visiting my father. That night, the Taiwanese practitioner and other practitioners made a concerted effort to rescue me, and I was released within 24 hours. When I returned to the prison entrance, I saw the guards looking very surprised, showing that they were rethinking Dafa.
We once asked an attorney to go to the prison to visit my father. The prison made a lot of trouble for him. With help from overseas Dafa practitioners, my father finally met the attorney and signed the authorization letter.
The authorities later had to hold a hearing on my father's appeal. The phone team called each person involved to clarify the truth before the hearing. As a result, my father was transferred to another prison and the environment improved a lot. My father could wear his own clothes and could have a normal haircut. He did not cooperate with all the demands from the authorities.
During the course of the rescue, some local practitioners were also arrested. Similarly, the telephone team helped us get those practitioners released.
There are many examples that show the effectiveness of the telephone teams. I would like to say to the practitioners from the telephone teams that you are very important. You may hear many offensive words, you may not see any return for your work, you may feel hopeless sometimes, but please do not feel disappointed. Please hold the call one more second, and things will change. The evil intends to destroy the mechanism we have formed. We can't let them do it. Practitioners in China cannot substitute what overseas telephone teams have done. Thank you Master for giving us such an environment. Let us walk well together.
