Additional Persecution News from China – November 5, 2012 (19 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 19 cities or counties and in 9 provinces. According to this report, 11 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention and at least 20 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Huangmei County, Hubei] Details on the Persecution Suffered by Ms. Dai Meixia

Ms. Dai Meixia is currently detained in a Hubei Province brainwashing center. She was brutally beaten, forced to stand for seven days and seven nights, and not allowed to sleep, eat or go to the toilet. Whenever she tried to squat down to rest, guards would grab and lift her up by her hair then brutally force-feed her. She has been repeatedly tortured for three months.

2. [Hailin City, Heilongjiang] Ms. Xu Ying Sent to Forced Labor Camp

Ms. Xu Ying was arrested and taken to Qianjin Forced Labor Camp.

3. [Meizhou City, Guangdong Province] Mr. BuWeiquan's and Wife Yang Lixia's House Ransacked, Their Current Whereabouts Unknown

Mr. Bu Weiquan's house in Meijiang District was broken into by plainclothes police on the evening of November 4, 2012. No one was at home and they took away computers as well as other personal belongings. Mr. Bu and Ms. Yang left home on the morning of November 4 and now their whereabouts are unknown.

4. [Shanghai] Ms. Zhang Shuying Sentenced to Forced Labor Term

Following the arrests of Mr. Luo Jiaolong from Baoshan District and Ms. Xia Haizhen, Ms. Zhang Shuying was arrested on April 23, by Baoshan Domestic Security Division police for going to their house. She was subsequently sentenced to 18 months of forced labor.

5. [Li County, Hebei] Mr. Wang Lianfu and Mr. Zhu Xiaozhan Harassed, Arrested and Their Homes Ransacked

Mr. Wang Lianfu from Xinxing Town, Xihe Village was arrested and taken to Li County Detention Center on October 31.

Police broke into Mr. Zhu Xiaozhan's house on November 2, confiscating a printer, photocopier and computer.

6. [Yuanshi County, Hebei] Three Practitioners Arrested in Beijing

Mr. Geng Xiangke, Ms. Cheng Jianghong, and Ms. Wang Yali from Nanbailou Village in Yuanshi County were arrested by police on the night of February 10, while giving out fliers in Changping District, Beijing. They still have not returned home.

7. [Zhaoyuan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Luan Heling Held in Brainwashing Center

Ms. Luan Heling from Luanjiahe Wanquan Primary School in Zhangxing Town has been missing for about two weeks. Through investigations and inquiries, it is known that she is detained at Lingnan brainwashing center, held by the Zhaoyuan 610 Office.

8. [Dalian, Liaoning] Mr. Yu Bo Arrested

Mr. Yu Bo was followed and arrested by officers from Hutan New District Police Station on October 31.

9. [Shanghai] Ms. Lan Lizhi Believed to be Arrested

Ms. Lan Lizhi was laid off by her workplace on July 6. She has been missing since October 30. It is believed that she has been arrested.

10. [Changchun, Jilin] Ms. Man Qiuju Harassed

Ms. Man Qiuju was harassed by police from Jianshe Square Police Station on October 31.

11. [Tianjin] Ms. Wang Yujie Detained

Ms. Wang Yujie, in her 70s, from Hexi District was arrested for the third time a week ago. She is now detained at Hexi Detention Center.

12. [Shenzhou City, Hebei Province] Ms. He Chunlan and Mr. Li Xiaoqi Arrested

Shenzhou City Police Department officers went to Beixingyuan Village and arrested Ms. He Chunlan on the night of October 28. She was taken back to the station and then sent to the detention center. Her cell phone and computer were confiscated. Police went to Xin Village on the night of October 31, and arrested Mr. Li Xiaoqi. He was taken back to the police station.

13. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Mr. Huo Chengzhi, and His Wife Ms. Li Xiuying Sent to Brainwashing Center

Police from Xiangyang Police Station arrested elderly practitioners Mr. Huo Chengzhi and his wife, Ms. Li Xiuying on November 2. Both of them are now held at a brainwashing center.

14. [Yantai, Shandong] Ms. Sun Yuehua's Six-Year Prison Sentence Extended

Ms. Sun Yuehua was arrested on October 15, 2006. When her prison sentence was up, Shandong Women's Prison extended her sentence to November 1. She is now back home.

15. [Yushu City, Jilin Province] Mr. Yang Xin Sent Directly to Brainwashing Center After His Prison Sentence Completed

Mr. Yang Xin from Chengfa Township was unjustly sentenced to three years of imprisonment for distributing Shen Yun DVDs. He vomited blood as a result of torture he was subjected to in prison. He was forced to perform labor and his physical condition became very fragile. His prison sentence was up on October 31, yet he was sent to a brainwashing center for further persecution by 610 Office agents when they picked him up from Shiling Prison in Siping.

16. [Nanchong, Sichuan] Mr. Wang Shiping Sent to Brainwashing Center

Mr. Wang Shiping took a train to Chengdu for work matters on October 31, and was detained by police from Nanchong City Train Station Police Station. He was taken to Xishan Brainwashing Center in Nanchong that afternoon.

17. [Pingdingshan, Henan] Three Elderly Practitioners Arrested

Three elderly practitioners, Ms. Du Fengmei who is blind, Ms. An Meilan and Ms. Chen Yulan, were arrested on October 26 while telling people the facts about the persecution. Their homes were ransacked and they were detained at Ye County Detention Center. Ms. Du was released on November 3.

18. [Xinbin County, Liaoning Province] Liu Junpo Detained

Mr. Liu Junpo was arrested on the afternoon of November 2 . He has now been taken to Fushun Second Detention Center to await sentencing.

19. [Xiangtan, Hunan] Mr. Peng Shiqing Forced to Leave Home and Wander Around to Avoid Persecution

Yan Sifei from Bantang Village brought twelve people to break into Mr. Peng Shiqing's house and attempt to arrest him on October 25. Mr. Peng escaped and is currently trying to avoid arrest.
