(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. Lu Weikuan, the husband of Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Yao Shaoyun, is a teacher at the Xinyang Vocational and Technical College. While teaching, he was called away by college officials at 3:00 p.m. on June 1, 2011. Officers from the Xinyang Domestic Security Division then illegally arrested Mr. Lu. They also took his cell phone and home key. Mr. Lu suffered a mental breakdown after being released. It is believed he was injected with drugs that damaged his nervous system.
Mr. Lu teaches English and was honored as the province's outstanding teacher. He is honest and kind and is well respected by his colleagues and students alike. His wife, Ms. Yao Shaoyun, had many illnesses and was bad-tempered prior to practicing Falun Gong. After practicing Falun Gong for a period of time, she became physically healthy and good-tempered. Although Mr. Lu doesn’t practice Falun Gong, the authorities persecute him because of his wife’s beliefs.
Li Weijiang, deputy head of the college’s security section, led nine officers from the Domestic Security Division and the Shihe District Police Department to break into Mr. Lu’s home at around 5:00 p.m. on June 1, 2011. They ransacked his home and confiscated Falun Dafa books, a computer, cash, and a bank book for an account containing over 60,000 yuan, as well as taking other personal belongings.
When Ms. Yao learned about the incident, she was forced to leave her home due to safety concerns. Mr. Lu was detained in the Domestic Security Division.
Mr. Lu was released on June 7. He suffered a mental breakdown and often hits his head. He was sent to the hospital for emergency treatment. When having an injection, he asks the doctor what kind of injection it is. When drinking water, he asks whether or not the water is drugged. He only eats food offered by his child. It is very likely that the authorities put drugs in his food and gave him injections that damaged his nervous system.
The police still come to harass Mr. Lu, even though he has been hospitalized. They have even pressured him to turn in his wife.
