On July 24, 2009, Ms. Pan was reported for distributing Shen Yun DVDs at the Xiyuan Morning Market in Beijing. She was arrested by officers from the Haidian Police Station. Mr. Ran was arrested immediately and eventually taken to Tumuji Forced Labor Camp in Inner Mongolia. The Law and Order Division of the Beijing Police Department sentenced him to serve a two-and-a-half-year term of forced labor.
