(Clearwisdom.net) In Master's article, “Fa-Rectification Period Dafa Disciples” from Essentials for Further Advancement II, He wrote:
“Did you know that Fa-rectification disciples who aren’t able to come through the Fa-rectification period will not have another chance to cultivate, because throughout history you have already been given all the best things?”
I enlightened that Fa-Rectification period Dafa disciples must do the three things well: study the Fa, send forth righteous thoughts, and clear up misconceptions about Falun Gong.
Holding strong righteous thoughts, sincerely thinking of others
In “Righteous Thoughts,” Master said:
“This is how to do it: (1) You should focus your attention and your effort, your mind has to be absolutely clear and rational, the force of your thoughts needs to be focused and strong, with an air of supremacy and of destroying all evil in the cosmos.”
I enlightened that “with an air of supremacy and of destroying all evil in the cosmos” is to take ourselves as being supreme and in control. Before I enlightened to this, I was only able to successfully persuade a few tourists to quit the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) organizations. Some tourists gave me a contemptuous look, some verbally abused me. Some listened to the facts about Falun Gong but were not moved. After I enlightened to this, when I was clarifying the facts of Falun Gong to tourists from mainland China, I understood that as long as I had the sincere wish to save them, Master would give me the wisdom to know what to say.
While practitioners talk to Mainland tourists about the facts of the persecution, they are filled with the mighty energy of the Fa. When I cultivated well and my thoughts were righteous, sometimes the tourists quit the Party's organizations after I had said only a few sentences. Once I helped more then ten tourists quit the Party. As of July 23, 2011, I have persuaded 105 people quit the Party in Hong Kong.
Clearing up misconceptions about Falun Gong, saving sentient beings
I obtained the Fa on September 15, 2007. In “Fa Teaching at the 2009 Washington DC International Fa Conference” Master said:
“If you don't take action to save sentient beings, you will not have fulfilled your responsibility as a Dafa disciple and your cultivation will amount to nothing, for your becoming a Dafa disciple was not for the sake of your own Consummation. This means that you shoulder a monumental mission.”
After I read this, I worried a lot. At the end of July 2008, I started to call people to persuade them to quit the Party. However, by January 2010, I was only able to persuade 400 people to quit. I later went to Hong Kong to tell the facts about Falun Gong to tourists and shared experiences with fellow practitioners. Through my cultivation experiences there, I improved a lot.
Once I was telling a tourist the facts about Falun Gong, and when he agreed to quit the Party. He was trying to come up with a nickname, when his superior came over, hit him, and pushed him away. When he came to me later, I said, “Don't be concerned. The gods have witnessed what happened and know you wish to quit the Party. Please remember 'Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.'” He smiled and agreed.
Then I walked to the other side of the street and explained the truth about Falun Gong to a group of tourists from Mainland China. The superior I mentioned above was there, too. I told them, “One day, I met a very high ranking officer on an airplane. He mentioned that he had traveled all over the world. I told the other travelers that Heaven would destroy the Communist Party and that it's best to quit as soon as possible. Always remember 'Falun Dafa is good and Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.' When I specifically wished him a bright future, he said that he had already quit five years ago while in Switzerland, and he agreed that the CCP was bad.” Then I told the superior, “Let me help you quit. Please remember 'Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good' and keep yourself healthy and safe.” He nodded and wrote down his name on my paper. I told him, “You are safe now. Please persuade your colleagues to quit, too.” He said, “OK”.
By August 22, 2011, in just 13 months, I helped over 14,000 Chinese quit the Party's organizations.
Improving xinxing
Actually, how many people I have helped quit the Party is not the point. What's key to my effectiveness is improving my xinxing and cultivating my inner self. In Zhuan Falun, Master said:
“The above are the two reasons for not being able to increase gong. Without knowing the Fa at high levels, one cannot practice cultivation. Without cultivating one’s inner self and one’s xinxing, one cannot increase gong. These are the two reasons. ”
But how to improve xinxing? My understanding is conflicts or difficulties are actually opportunities arranged by our beneficent Master to improve ourselves. Our criteria are the opposite of those for an everyday person. We practitioners must “not fight back when being punched or insulted.” (Zhuan Falun)
During the process of doing the three things even better, we can continuously eliminate our attachments. Each time we encounter a difficulty, that is an opportunity Master is offering us to improve ourselves.
