(Clearwisdom.net) The Chinese Communist Party has been using the Shanghai World Expo as an excuse to persecute the Falun Gong practitioners in Shanghai. Though information is limited, there are 101 practitioners known to be experiencing persecution in Shanghai currently.
The following are the basic facts of these persecution cases.
1. Recent Arrests
Cao Hongru, arrested in the evening of March 28, 2010.
Gao Qinmei, arrested and sent to the Qingpu Brainwashing Center on May 19, 2010.
Gong Naiying, arrested and sent to the Brainwashing Center before July 20, 2010.
Guo Jinfu, arrested on July 20, 2010.
Guo Xiaojun, arrested on January 7, 2010. He was sentenced to four years in Baoshan Court, on July 6, and now he is appealing.
Guo Yuezhu, arrested while telling people about the persecution of Falun Dafa on July 8, 2010.
Guo Saying, a teacher at the Chengdu College of Information Technology, was arrested in June 2010 by the Shanghai Security Bureau, Shanghai Police Station, Chengdu Security Bureau, and Chengdu Police Station.
He Binggang, arrested on April 15, 2010.
Huang Longmei, arrested while telling people about the persecution of Falun Dafa on July 8, 2010.
Jiang Yong, arrested on December 30, 2009. Now the 610 Office in Xuhui District is trying to find evidence of a "wrongdoing" so as to sentence him again.

Lu Xiulin, arrested and unlawfully detained in a mental hospital on April 1, 2010.

Qin Hongxian, arrested and sent to Zhangjiang Detention Center on July 15, 2010.
Rong Huijun, arrested and sent to Qingpu Brainwashing Center in Shanghai on June 4, 2010.
Wang Qiuying, arrested in June 2010 by the 610 Office.
Wang Yijin, arrested and sent to Qingpu Brainwashing Center on April 13, 2010.

Xing Bing from Chengdu, arrested while working in Shanghai and sent to the Zhangjiang Detention Center in Pudong on April 23, 2010.
Xu Mingyong, arrested on May 12, 2010.
Yan Meizhen, arrested and sent to the Qingpu Brainwashing Center on May 21, 2010.
Yang Haiyang, who is the first daughter of Yan Jinmiao, is missing as of September 3, 2009 after writing an article about how Yang Jinmiao's family has been persecuted.
Yang Liang from Jinzhou, arrested and sent to the Xuhui Detention Center on April 14, 2010.
Yang Xiaoping, arrested and sent to the Qingpu Brainwashing Center on May 20, 2010.
Zhang Jixiu, arrested while telling people about the persecution of Falun Dafa on July 8, 2010.
Zhang Lanying, arrested and sent to the Qingpu Brainwashing Center in Shanghai on April 22, 2010.
Zhao Genmei, arrested and sent to the Jinshan Detention Center on March 30, 2010.
Zou Feiyu from Kunshan, Jiangsu, arrested on April 27, 2010 at the Shanghai Train Station.
On June 27, 2010, two practitioners were seized by the police because they were found to have Falun Gong informational materials with them at the entrance of Shanghai World Expo. They are detained right now.
2. Practitioners Held in Prison
Bai Gendi, arrested in May 2006, was sentenced to four years and six months. (To be released November 2010).
Chen Tiansheng from Funan County of Anhui Province, Mr. Ding and Wang, arrested in September 2008, and were held in Fengxian. They were later sentenced in secret to four or four and a half years of imprisonment. (To be released September 2012 and March 2013).
Ding Yuguo, arrested on March 16, 2008, was sentenced to five years. (To be released March 2013).
Fa Zhengping, is detained in Tilanqiao Prison in Shanghai.
Fan Shuyun from Jiamusi, Heilongjiang, arrested on August 28, 2009 while distributing informational materials, was sentenced to two years. (To be released August 2011).
Gu Jihong, arrested on July 26, 2008.
Guan Longmei, arrested on June 3, 2006, was sentenced to seven years. (To be released June 2013).
Guo Shenghuan, was sentenced to four years in 2007.
Guo Yuefen, arrested on May 24, 2009, was sentenced to three years. (To be released May 2012).
He Pinqin, arrested on November 28, 2008, was sentenced to four years. (To be released November 2012).
Hu Linggen, arrested on May 17, 2009 by the Shanghai Police Station, was detained in Tilanqiao Prison in Shanghai.
Hua Renfa, is detained at the Tilanqiao Prison in Shanghai.
Jin Runfang, arrested on August 22, 2008, was sentenced to four years. (To be released February 2012).
Jin Guifang, arrested on April 24, 2009, was sentenced to three years. (To be released April 2012).
Li Hong, arrested on July 16, 2008, was sentenced to three and a half years. (To be released January 2012).
Li Jinyu, arrested on February 21, 2008, was sentenced to three and a half years. (To be released August 2011).
Li Wenjuan, arrested on June 5, 2009, was sentenced to four and a half years. (To be released December 2013).
Li Yaohua, arrested on June 5, 2009, was sentenced to three and a half years. (To be released December 2012).
Lin Enlai, was sentenced to one year and four months in 2009. He has been conducting a hunger strike for more than three months, and is detained at the Shanghai Prison Hospital. (To be released November 2010).
Lin Mingli, arrested ion October 9, 2005, was sentenced to six years. (To be released October 2011).
Liu Jin, arrested on November 25, 2007, was sentenced to three and a half years. (To be released May 2011).
Liu Lan, arrested on January 8, 2005, was sentenced to seven and a half years. (To be released July 2012).
Liu Peng, arrested on February 21, 2008, was sentenced to five years. (To be released February2013).
Lu Aichun, arrested on July 23, 2009, was sentenced to three and a half years. (To be released January 2013).
Lu Airong, arrested on July 23, 2009.
Luo Wei, arrested on March 10, 2009, was sentenced to seven years. (To be released March 2016).
Ma Guobiao, arrested on February 22, 2008, was sentenced to six years. (To be released February 2014).
Ma Yueying, arrested on December 9, 2008, was sentenced to seven years. (To be released December 2015).
Pu Yuying, arrested on May 14, 2008. On December 23, 2008, she was put on trial in Hongkou District Court.
Qian Jialing, arrested in 2008, is detained at the Hongkou Detention Center.
Qian Yuhua, arrested on April 25, 2009, was sentenced to four years. (To be released April 2013).
Sha Qizhen, arrested on July 23, 2009.
Shan Donghui was sentenced to seven and a half years. He is now detained in Tilanqiao Prison in Shanghai.
Shao Hongzhen, arrested on January 23, 2006, was sentenced for seven years. (To be released January 2013).
Wang Quandi, arrested on November 1, 2007, was sentenced later.
Wang Yue, arrested on December 3, 2009, was sentenced to three and a half years. (To be released June 2013).
Wang Zhiwei, arrested in July 2008. He was sent to Tilanqiao Prison in Shanghai in 2010.
Wu Aizhong, arrested on January 8, 2005, was sentenced to seven and a half years. (To be released July 2012).
Wu Wei is detained at the Tilanqiao Prison in Shanghai.
Xu Fengbao, was arrested on March 17, 2010.
Yang Aihua, arrested on September 17, 2009. In December 2009, Changning District Court opened a session for Yang, but were unable to convict him of crime. After that, people from the CCP said they will sentence Yang harshly.

3. Practitioners Subjected to Forced Labor
Cai Yufang, arrested on March 25, 2010, was sentenced to forced labor for one and a half years. (To be released September 2011).
Huang Naiwei, arrested on June 18, 2009, was sentenced to forced labor for one year and three months.
Chen Qinfang, arrested on November 1, 2009, was sentenced to forced labor for one year. (To be released November 2010).
Fan Guoping, arrested on May 25, 2009 and sent to the Qingpu Brainwashing Center for three months, and then in August was sentenced to forced labor for two years. (To be released May to August 2011).
Ge Xiaotian, arrested on February 2, 2010, was sentenced to forced labor for one and a half years. (To be released August 2011).
Han Chunyan, arrested on December 24, 2009, was sentenced to forced labor for three months. (To be released March 2011).
Lin Liqin, arrested on August 18, 2009, was sentenced to forced labor for one year and three months. (To be released November 2010).
Lin Meijuan, arrested on October 2, 2009, was sentenced to forced labor for one year and three months. (To be released January 2011).
Wang Mingfang, arrested and sent to the Qingpu Brainwashing Center on September 8, 2009, was sentenced to forced labor for one year and three months starting at October 2009. (To be released December 2010 to January 2011).
Xi Xiaocheng, arrested on April 15, 2010, was sentenced to forced labor for one and a half years. (To be released October 2011).
Yang Jine, arrested on December 11, 2009, was sentenced to forced labor for one and a half years. (To be released June 2011).
Zhao Yuping, arrested on November 2, 2008, was sentenced to forced labor for two years. (To be released November 2010).
On June 18, 2010, two practitioners were found to have Falun Gong informational materials on them, and were detained at the police station. They have been subjected to forced labor since July 12.
