(Clearwisdom.net) Today's News from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 21 cities or counties in nine provinces. In this report, 33 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention and at least 24 practitioners were illegally arrested.
1. [Guan County, Shandong Province] Recent Information on Mr. Dong Weidong and Ms. Wu Guomin
On the morning of March 4, 2010, Mr. Dong Weidong and Ms. Wu Guomin from Guan County were arrested. On approximately May 5, 2010, Ms. Wu was taken to the Jinan City Women's Forced Labor Camp and and Mr. Dong to the Zibo City Wangcun Forced Labor Camp. Because of long term persecution, Ms. Wu's health had deteriorated, and the guards at the labor camp refused to accept her. She was returned to Guan County. In Guan County, Ms. Wu was again held in a detention center for a month. On approximately June 10, 2010, she was released.
Mr. Dong Weidong is being tortured. The special case team of the 610 Office tried to force him to admit that he was a reporter for the Minghui/Clearwisdom website. He did not cooperate and was sentenced to 13 months of forced labor. He is still in the labor camp.
2. [Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province] More Information about Ms. Chang Xiujuan
Ms. Chang Xiujuan was arrested by officers from the Haiyang Police Station. As a result of the persecution, she developed high blood pressure and was released. When she was at home, she was threatened and deceived into signing the forced labor verdict document. With this, officers planned to harass her further.
3. [Fushun City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wu Lixian Force-Fed
Ms. Wu Lixian from Fushun City was arrested by officers from the Heping Police Station in the Wanghua District and taken to Nangou Detention Center. She has been detained there for over a month. She is currently being force-fed.
4. [Guiyang City, Guizhou Province] Mr. Li Jian Arrested
Mr. Li Jian from Guiyang City is in his 50s. On May 20, 2010, when he distributed truth-clarifying materials at the Elevator Building in the Huaguoyuan Community, Guiyang City, he was arrested by officers from the Huaguoyuan Police Station. He is now in the Nanming District Detention Center, Guiyang City.
5. [Tianjin] Mr. Jia Wenguang Appeals to Tianjin First Middle Court
On January 14, 2010, Mr. Jia Wenguang from the Hebei District, Tianjin, was clarifying the truth at Jingjiang Bridge. He was trapped by Tian Qing, the deputy director of plainclothes officers of Dajiang Road Police Station. On April 27, 2010, he was tried in the Hebei District Court. An attorney from Beijing defended him.
On May 25, 2010, Mr. Jia was sentenced to five years in prison at the Hebei District Court. He is appealing to the Tianjin First Middle Court.

6. [Hebei Province] Information about Falun Gong Practitioners Mistreated in Zhuozhou City
On the afternoon of June 12, 2010, 20 officers from the Baoding City Police Department Domestic Security Division and the Hebei Province Zhuozhou City Police Department Domestic Security Division, in five police vehicles, went to all the towns and townships in Zhuozhou City to arrest and harass Falun Gong practitioners. Ms. Li Shuxiang, 54; Ms. Zhang Guilan, 50; and Mr. Zhang Yin, 65; all from Zhantai Village, Dongchengfang Township, along with Ms. Zhang Shuqing, 65, from Sancheng Village; Mr. Zang Xian, 60, from Han Village, Songlindian Town; and Ms. Zhang Chunfang, 65, from Yongle Village, the Shuangta District, were arrested and their homes ransacked. Ms. Ti Fengxia was arrested and her home was ransacked in Nanma Village, Songlindian Town. Now her whereabouts is unknown. Many practitioners from Matou Town were harassed.
Reportedly, Mr. Zang Xian was held in Zhuozhou City on June 13. 100,000 yuan was extorted from his family by guards. Others were arrested and taken to the Dongchengfang Police Station. On June 15, 2010, they were all taken to Shijiazhuang City.
Mr. Huang Guanglin from Nangaodian Village was arrested on June 14, 2010.
7. [Yancheng City, Jiangsu Province] More Information about Ms. Lu Yu'e
Ms. Lu Yu'e. who was arrested on April 27, 2010, was tried and given a verdict on June 15, 2010.

8. [Laishui County, Hebei Province] More Information about Ms. Zhang Shufen
Ms. Zhang Shufen from Mingyi Township, Laishui County, was arrested on June 12, 2010, and was taken to Hebei Province Women's Forced Labor Camp.
9. [Shijiangzhuang City, Hebei Province] Ms. Fan Xiurong Arrested
Ms. Fan Xiurong from the residential region, No. 54 Institute, the Qiaoxi District, Shijiazhuang City, is 66 years old. On the afternoon of June 9, 2010, just after she picked up her child at school, she was arrested at home. She is currently being held at the Taihua Street Legal Education Center (a brainwashing center).
10. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Many Falun Gong Practitioners Missing
As of the middle of May 2010, at least three practitioners were missing in Guangzhou City. In approximately two practitioners' hometowns (including one in her 30s) from Jianyang City, Sichuan Province, their family members have verified them missing.
11. [Fujian Province] Ms. Chen Yingmei Arrested
Ms. Chen Yingmei from Fujian Province was arrested when she was clarifying the truth on June 15, 2010, and her home was ransacked. Her computer and Dafa materials were taken away. Her whereabouts are currently unknown.
12. [Zibo City, Shandong Province] More Information about Ms. Wang Qingfang
On May 12, 2010, Ms. Wang Qingfang was arrested at home by police officers from the Hengtai County 610 Office. She was held at the Zibo City Forced Labor Camp. Police officers took her personal property, including a computer, Dafa books, bank deposit certificate, and other expensive items.
On April 14, 2010, even thought the authorities had not notified her family, Ms. Wang Qingfang was sentenced to three years in prison at the Hengtai County Court. She appealed to the higher court so the case was transferred to Zibo City Middle Court.
Ms. Wang, 64, is retired from working in a coal mine. Since July 20 1999, because she clarified the truth, she has been arrested several times and was sentenced to forced labor and her home was ransacked. This time, she was again sentenced to three years in prison.

13. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Information about Ms. Sun Jingwen
Ms. Sun Jingwen, 64, has been held at the Yaojia Detention Center, Dalian City, since she was arrested at the end of the year. Now she is to be tried.
14. [Hengang City, Hunan Province] Ms. Liu Jinlian, Ms. Li Qi, and Ms. Liu Chunyu Arrested
Ms. Liu Jinlian, Ms. Li Qi, and Ms. Liu Chunyu from the Zhuhui District, Hengyang City, were arrested individually at their homes at 10:00 a.m., 2:00 p.m., 6:00 p.m, and taken to the Domestic Security Division, Hengyang City Railway Police Department. Two computers at Ms. Liu Chunyu's home were taken.
15. [Zhuozhou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Gao Chunlian Tortured in Hebei Women's Prison
Ms. Gao Chunlian was tortured at the Hebei Province Women's Prison in September 2008, because guards wanted to "transform" her. On September 25, 2010, Zhou Houling, a female inmate, put a shoe sole with feces into Ms. Gao's mouth. Then other inmates beat and punched her for an hour and a half. Then she was hung up on the bed for half an hour.
Guards again tortured her in 2009, attempting to "transform" her. Han Xiuxin, female, leader of No. 10 Ward, beat Ms. Gao for thirty minutes with an electric baton.
16. [Leizhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Chen Xiuying and Ms. Chen Xiuhong Sentenced to Forced Labor
On June 11, 2010, two sisters, Ms. Chen Xiuying and Ms. Chen Xiuhong, from Leizhou City were taken to Guangzhou City Women's Forced Labor Camp. Ms. Chen Xiuhong's family still doesn't know about it.
When Ms. Chen Xiuying and Ms. Chen Xiuhong visited relatives on July 1, 2009, because they distributed Shen Yun DVDs, they were reported by Wu Sheng, the leader of Yingling Village, Beihe Town. They were then arrested and taken to the Leizhou City Detention Center.
17. [Kuancheng County, Hebei Province] Ms. Wang Zhong Arrested and Sent to a Brainwashing Center
On the night of June 11, 2010, Mr. Wang Zhong from Kuancheng County was arrested by officers from the Domestic Security Division and the Kuancheng County Police Department, and taken to the brainwashing center--Hebei Province Chengde City Legal Education School. Mr. Wang has gone on a hunger strike to protest the persecution.
Mr. Wang has been sentenced to two years of forced labor. At home, his wife has severe diabetes.

On June 12, 2010, Mr. Song Changqing and his wife, Ms. Zhou Chunyu, from Baigou, Baoding City, were arrested by officers from the Baigou Domestic Security Division and Yihezhuang Police Station. Their home was ransacked. They are now in the Gaobeidian Detention Center.
19. [Tianjin] Homes of Two Practitioners Ransacked
Officers from Hexi District Police Department and Domestic Security Division ransacked the home of practitioner Zhu (first name and gender unknown), from Hexi District Sports University, Tianjin, on the morning of June 10, 2010.
On the afternoon of June 10, 2010, Mr. Liang's home was ransacked. He is also from the Sports University.
20. [Inner Mongolia Prefecture] Ms. Su Yulan Arrested at Her Daughter's Place by Police Officers from Huhehaote City
21. [Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Liu Cuilan and Ms. Miao Miaio Arrested
On June 15, 2010, Ms. Liu Cuilan and Ms. Miao Miao were reported by Li Wenjing (female) when they clarified the truth. They were arrested and taken to the county police department. Ms. Liu was released at 3:00 that afternoon. Ms. Miao was beaten about the face by Zhang Bin, deputy director of the police department. Her home was later ransacked.

22. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] More Information about Mr. Xu Zhiyin's Arrest
Mr. Xu Zhiyin, 42, from Fuhu Town, Nanbu County, Sichuan Province, was arrested by police officers from the Tianhe District Domestic Security Division, 610 Office, and taken to the Tianhe Detention Center. His printer, computer, and DVD recorder were taken from his home.
23. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] More Information about Falun Gong Practitioners Persecuted in Laishui County and Yi County
Mingyi Township, Laishui County:
Ms. Zhang Xiemei, a practitioner from Caijiazhuang Village, was arrested by officers from the Laishui County Police Department and the Mingyi Township Police Station on June 13, 2010. Personal property taken from her included a digital book, a copy of Zhuan Falun, an MP3 player, a DVD player, Master's photo, and two copies of Falun photos.
Yongyang Township:
Ms. Zhou Jingchun's personal property taken included a DVD player, a computer, a printer, two cell phones, USB memory sticks, two web cards, a computer case, an MP5 player, an MP4 player.
Ms. Niu Qingyun's Dafa books were taken.
Ms. Cheng Zhiming's DVD player, Fa photo, and Dafa books were taken.
Ms. Li Shulan was harassed.
Wangcun Township:
Ms. Liu Haixia from Zhangcuitai Village was harassed.
Yi'an Town:
Mr. Li Huaiyou from Zhuangtong Village had to leave his home to avoid being arrested. Around his home, police officers in plainclothes monitor the area.
Yi County:
Ms. Liu Chunxiang's Dafa books, DVD discs were taken and she was arrested.
Ms. Zheng Fang's DVD discs and Dafa books were taken and she was arrested.
Ms. Wang Yulan was arrested and taken to the Yi County Detention Center.
Ms. Guo Yuqin was harassed.
Eight DVD discs belonging to Ms. Song Xiuying were taken, along with six copies of truth clarifying materials.
24. [Gaobeidian City, Hebei Province] Mr. Wang Jibin and Ms. Zhang Yuqin Arrested
On June 11, 2010, Mr. Wang Jibin and his wife, Ms. Zhang Yuqin, from the Juncheng Community Administration Office in Gaobeidian City, were arrested by Chen Changfeng and police officers from Juncheng Administration. Mr. Wang is now back home.
25. [Laishui County, Hebei Province] Mr. Yang Xifang and His Wife, Ms. Yu Fengyun, Sentenced to Forced Labor
Officers from the 610 Office stormed into Mr. Yang Xifang's home, located in Dachitu Village, Laishui County, at noon on June 12, 2010, and arrested Mr. Yang's wife, Ms. Yu Fengyun. They took a printer and Dafa books. When Mr. Yang returned home and discovered what had happened, he went to the Shiting Police Station to ask them to release his wife. He was then arrested. It was said that Mr. Yang was taken to Gaoyang Forced Labor Camp under orders from the director of the Shiting Police Station. Mr. Yang was sentenced to one year of forced labor. Ms. Yu was taken to the Shijiazhuang City Women's Forced Labor Camp and was sentenced to one year of forced labor.
Mr. Yang's daughter returned from school to find a mess at home. She now has no way to pay her college tuition. Her 19-year-old brother is at home alone.
26. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Li Chunqing Arrested When She Attended a Relative's Wedding
27. [Tongling County, Anhui Province] Mr. Pei Xuewen's Information
Falun Dafa practitioner from Tongling County Mr. Pei Xuewen was arrested on March 30, 2010. He has been back home for almost a month. Mr. Pei lost his job when he was arrested. He now has trouble making a living.
28. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Che Shulan Arrested and Her Home Ransacked
29. [Guangdong Province] Ms. Xu Chunmin Arrested and Funds Extorted from Her Husband
On the morning of February 28, 2010, a group of police officers stormed into Ms. Xu Chunmin's home and took all her Dafa books. At that time, only two children and their grandmother were at home.
Police officers again stormed into Ms. Xu's home at 10:00 a.m. on January 15, 2010, and took Dafa books, Minghui Weekly, and her son's school supplies. They even pried open a drawer and took Ms. Xu's husband's pay slip, health insurance card, and over 200 yuan in cash. Her husband is not a practitioner. One police officer even directly asked Ms. Xu for a deposit certificate.
Ms. Xu was arrested and taken to the police station. The next day her family went to the station and asked for her release. Police officers ordered her husband to withdraw all 4000 yuan in cash from his bank and pay the police officers if he wanted them to release Ms. Xu.
