(Clearwisdom.net) When I heard about the call for experience sharing articles for the 7th Internet Experience Sharing Conference, I thought that I should not miss this opportunity again. When there were Internet Fa Conferences in the past, I thought that I would not be able to write a good article because I am old and only have a 3rd grade education. My goodness, what an ordinary person's thought that is. I've realized that, as Master’s disciple, I should treasure this opportunity to share with other practitioners and hand in my homework to Master.
I am an older practitioner who started cultivating in Falun Dafa in 1997. I am 59 years old. Before I began the practice, my health was not good. I had rheumatism, a uterine tumor, serious headaches, insomnia, and a pelvic injury. The only thing I was able to do at that time was to eat, and I couldn't do anything else. I came to learn Dafa with the purpose of finding a cure. There were few Dafa books at that time, so I did not start by learning the Fa. At first, I only learned the five exercises, and it took me a long time to learn them. Our revered Master purified my body. From then on, I regained my vigor. Later, I got a copy of Zhuan Falun. Through studying the Fa, I understood that this is cultivation.
The persecution started on July 20, 1999. All of the media sources, including television, newspaper, and radio fabricated lies and slandered Master and the Fa. I strongly believed that Dafa and Master were righteous and that it was not wrong for him to teach us to be good people. One day, a few government officials came to my house. I had a cassette player on the table. One of the officers opened the cassette player and saw that there was nothing in it. They knew that I practiced Falun Gong. They said that Falun Gong was not good, and I told them that they were wrong. I told them about how our Master taught us to be good and to not do bad things according to the principles of Truthfulness-Benevolence-Forbearance. I told them that before learning the practice I was very ill, but that now I have good health because of practicing Falun Gong, and how I did not need to take medicine anymore. One officer said that one of his neighbors killed himself because of practicing Falun Gong. I told him that his neighbor did not follow the teachings in Zhuan Falun. Our Master teaches that practitioners cannot kill. I also told them that the Tiananmen Square self-immolation incident was staged by the government. The officers had nothing more to say and left in a hurry.
The area where I live is mountainous, and it is difficult to get Master’s new teachings. In order to get Minghui Weekly and some truth clarification materials, we had to walk quite far. I was inspired when I read an article in Minghui Weekly entitled “From Using a Hoe to Using a Computer Mouse.” I thought that if other practitioners can do it, I can do it too. I didn't want to depend on others for materials anymore. I also wanted to have a “blossoming little flower” [refers to having truth clarification material production sites springing up everywhere like flowers in a field]. But my family had financial difficulties. My son was in college. My daughter, who is also a practitioner, had just gotten a job and her monthly salary was only a few hundred yuan, but a computer and a printer would cost a few thousand yuan. I did not have the money.
The material production site was not established for quite a while, and I worried a lot. I thought that it would be good if my daughter’s salary was higher. It reminded me of what Master said in Zhuan Falun:
“Cultivation depends on one’s own efforts, while transforming gong is done by one’s master. You can only have such a wish and think about it like that, but it is the master who actually does these things.” (Zhuan Falun)
Later, my daughter found a better job with a higher salary, and she bought a computer and a printer for me. She taught me how to access the Internet and print the materials I needed. I was especially excited when I printed out the beautiful articles from Minghui Weekly. I thanked Master from the bottom of my heart. Without Master and Dafa, all of these things would have been unimaginable. For the safety of this material production site, I am careful about what I say. My other family members have not started cultivation yet, but they do support me. Sometimes, they even help to distribute fliers. Other than them, I have not told anyone about what I'm doing. I pay all the costs myself, so I try to save money everywhere. For example, when shopping for food, I buy the cheapest vegetables. I rarely buy new clothes. I wear old clothes that were donated by others, and I do my own alterations.
I found that operating the truth clarification material production site helped me to eliminate the attachment of fear. When I started learning how to use the computer, I made a lot of mistakes. Sometimes, I spent a few hours and got frustrated when I couldn't make it work right. At night, my attachment of fear would come up when I heard a dog barking. My heart would beat hard and I would quickly turn off the computer. I remember that Master said:
“To tell you the truth, the entire cultivation process for a practitioner is one of constantly giving up human attachments.” (Zhuan Falun)
As I continued to make the materials, my fear gradually went away. I also began to distribute the materials myself. Whenever I go out, I take a few copies and distribute them along the way. Going out in the daytime does not attract others’ attention and it's easy to distribute the materials.
During the time of the Olympic Games in 2008, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) intensified its Internet blockade. One day when I tried to download Minghui Weekly, I could not access the web page no matter what I did. I tried several times and it still did not work. I was worried, but I had the thought that I am a Dafa practitioner and I have Master’s protection. The evil is nothing. I got out of bed at 3:00 a.m. the next day and tried again. This time, I successfully accessed the Minghui website and downloaded Minghui Weekly. After that, I didn't have any trouble accessing Minghui whenever I wanted.
I started writing truth clarification messages on paper money after learning that Master said that it's okay to do that. When one of my relatives saw me using the money like this, he also wanted to do it. However, when he tried to spend it, some of the vendors did not want to accept the money and said that the bank would confiscate it. He told me not to write any more messages on money because no one wanted it. I was not moved by these things. I spent the money with messages on it when I went to the market. Before I spent the money, I sent forth righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil factors interfering with it. For those who really did not want the money, I exchanged it with other bills. At the beginning, I wrote the messages by hand. Later, I used a small stamp, and it was more convenient that way. When my relative saw that I always used the money this way, he also asked for a few bills and spent them without any problems. Now, all four people in my family use money this way. Sometimes, I buy a lot of stuff and use up all the bills. I wait to buy things until the next time I have cash that I can stamp the messages on. I do not want to waste any opportunity to use money to tell people the facts about Falun Dafa.
Falun Dafa resolved the resentment that existed between me and my brothers-in-law. My husband’s parents died while they were still young and only had three sons. Each brother had his own family and they all lived in different villages. For unknown reasons, the three brothers did not get along well. They argued whenever they met. They especially argued when they met with my husband, who is the youngest. I did not like the brothers because of this, and I did not want to see them. We did not visit each other for over ten years. As Master’s Fa rectification progresses, Master wants us to clarify the truth and save people. I realized that the two brothers are my relatives and that I should save them. But, they lived far away and I did not have time to visit them.
I thought that it would be good if they would come to my home, and it wasn't long before they did come, one after another. I told them about the beauty of Dafa, the truth about the Tiananmen Square self-immolation, and about how all my illnesses miraculously disappeared after cultivating in Dafa. One of my nephews understood and quit the CCP using his real name. One of the brothers understood the truth, and told other people he knew to remember that Falun Dafa is good.
Although I have done some of what a Dafa practitioner should do in the Fa rectification period, I am still far from Master’s requirements. I still have some distance to cover when compared with other diligent practitioners. I did not do enough face-to-face truth clarification. In the last stage of the Fa rectification, and with not much time left, I should make good use of the time to clarify the truth and save more people.
