(Clearwisdom.net) Before the events of July 20th 1999 that marked the beginning Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) persecution of Falun Gong, my father had read Zhuan Falun and personally experienced Dafa. After the persecution began, my father became afraid. He wouldn't let me clarify the truth in fear that I may be arrested. Even when I clarified the truth to my father, he became noticeably impatient.
Because the CCP arrested me for clarifying the truth, and having been poisoned by the lies of the CCP, my father verbally condemned our Teacher and Dafa. Later, I married another practitioner. Unlike conventional weddings, my wife did not take bridal gifts nor did she ask for a formal ceremony, and through her actions my father's views toward Dafa began to change. He even began telling people that "Falun Dafa is good." After my wife and I continually talked to him, my father soon resigned from the CCP and its evil cult organizations. In his solemn declaration he wrote: "I hereby withdraw all condemnations that I've made toward Teacher and Dafa that were spoken under the influence of the venomous lies of the evil CCP!" Furthermore, he posted an article on Minghui Net to expose the truth behind the CCP's persecution of one of our relatives who practiced Falun Dafa.
When I was arrested a subsequent time, my father stood out and went out to each local department to tell the people there "Falun Dafa is good" and that the cultivators of Falun Gong are innocent. Many amongst the passerby crowd complimented that he was a daring old man.
One time when we visited an incarcerated relative who practiced Dafa, my father spoke out to everyone in the facility that Falun Dafa has been spread to over 100 countries and regions throughout the world. He spoke out of his own experience: "Because my son and my daughter-in-law practice Falun Gong, my wife and I were blessed with good health. Those who believe Dafa is good will always receive its blessing."
Through the transformation in my father, I have gained the deep understanding that to clarify the truth thoroughly in one's own family and to do well the three things personally will bring about a fundamental change in one's family. At the same time your family will act as a media to further help spread the truth to more people and will help establish a firm foundation for your family's future.
