(Clearwisdom.net) On May 16 of this year my husband had a stroke. He was taken to the Kunming Hospital in Yunnan Province for emergency treatment and spent nine days in a coma. Every day when I went to visit him, I would say into his ear, "Falun Dafa is good! Truth-Compassion-Forbearance is good!" and ask Teacher to help him. He awoke on the tenth day, and two days later was transferred to the general ward.
After it was all over, my husband said that he could hear me whispering in his ear, "Falun Dafa is good! Truth-Compassion-Forbearance is good!" every day while he was in a coma. He told me that Teacher had pulled him back from the brink of death and that he would also start practicing Falun Gong when he could return home.
After my husband's operation in the hospital, the doctor had informed the family that he probably would not live for more than a few days and advised us to prepare for his funeral. I didn't believe the doctor, however, and thought to myself: "It won't be as bad as the doctor says. These are the old forces using my family member to disrupt my cultivation. I believe in Dafa and Teacher and will strive to improve my xinxing while passing this tribulation." I reminded my family members to believe in Dafa and Teacher, and told them that everything would work out fine.
My husband continued to sincerely recite, "Falun Dafa is good! Truth-Compassion-Forbearance is good!" for the next 38 days while he was in the hospital, and despite the doctor's prediction, he quickly recovered and could walk and speak normally. Many doctors, nurses, other patients and their family members witnessed this miracle, and I used this opportunity to expose the persecution and tell people about the beauty of Falun Dafa.
There was a patient from Baoshan in the hospital. A car accident had damaged four of his vital organs and atrophied two-thirds of his brain, so he was in a vegetative state despite five months of treatment, for which his family had spent over 500,000 yuan. His family had sought the advice of over 50 specialists to help him. I gave them a good luck charm with "Falun Dafa is good! Truth-Compassion-Forbearance is good!" engraved on it, and the family began to read these words to him every day. Then a miracle happened several days later - he started to become responsive. His parents wept with joy and thanked Teacher from the bottom of their hearts for rescuing their son. I gave some informational materials to his mother, and she said she would take them home so that all of her family members could read them.
At that time, my husband suggested that I give this family an MP3 player with recordings of Teacher's lectures, but I had a thought: "If I give them my MP3 player, which I use every day, will they cherish it? What if they don't cultivate after I give it to them?" I felt conflicted in my heart, so I discussed this matter with fellow practitioners at the next group study. They said it would be good to give the MP3 player to this family because it would be passing the Fa to them. They also said that it was good to let sick people listen to the recordings of Teacher's lectures, because they will likely become clear about the true situation and obtain salvation after they recover, and then the sentient beings in cosmic bodies that they represent could also be saved. I then recognized my attachments of selfishness and suspicion.
During this period, it turned out that the family bought an MP3 player on their own and were waiting for my help to put the lectures onto it. After uploading Teacher's lectures from Guangzhou, I suggested to the family that they play them for their sick family member and also listen to them themselves. After 20 days, I again went to the hospital to visit them and the mother told me: "We are all listening to Teacher's lectures and are all sincerely reciting every day: 'Falun Dafa is good! Truth-Compassion-Forbearance is good!'"
She also told me that her son's main injuries had recovered, and even the two-thirds of his brain that had been atrophied had recovered. He only had an edema remaining, and the doctor had said that he would be much better after it was removed. I saw that he was now able to lift his hands and feet, and he was thinking much more clearly. He still could not talk because his wind pipe had been badly injured, but he could understand what others were saying to him. I said to him, "If you are willing to withdraw from the Chinese Communist Party and its affiliated organizations, then tug on my hand." As soon as he heard this, he firmly squeezed my hand to confirm that he was willing to withdraw from these organizations. His father also said to me: "After listening to Master's lectures, my blood pressure has returned to normal. Before, it was always very high and I had to keep taking medication."
The parents said that after their son was better, they would tell him that Falun Dafa and Teacher had rescued him and make sure that he always remembered it. They said they would make sure their grandson learned it as well. Their whole family was immensely grateful to Teacher. I phoned them a month later to see how they were doing, and they said their son had already returned home from the hospital.
I enlightened that helping more sentient beings become clear about the truth and obtain salvation is Teacher's grand compassion. Through this process the world's people are choosing their futures.
