(Clearwisdom.net) (Correspondent from Chongqing City) During the past ten years in Ronchang County, Chongqing City, several hundred Falun Gong practitioners have been tortured by policemen and government officials from institutions such as the county public security bureau; the 610 Office; local, provincial and federal governments; local police stations; the Party committee secretary; and the city committees from various villages, counties and towns in Chongqing City.
Below is partial list with brief information about the practitioners being persecuted:
1. Mr. Li Guoxiang was an employee of the Tianhui Breeding Farm in Chongqing City. In November 2001, agents from the Rongchang Public Security Bureau arrested him. His home was ransacked and his personal belongings confiscated. The Rongchang County court sentenced him to a seven-year prison term.
2. Mr. Xiao Yuhua was an employee of the Tianhui Breeding Farm in Chongqing City. In November 2001, agents from the Rongchang Public Security Bureau arrested him. His home was ransacked and his personal belongings confiscated. The Rongchang County court sentenced him to a three-year prison term.
3. Mr. Zhang Yongjun is a 37-year-old technical college graduate from Zhisheng Town, Longchang County, in Chongqing City. In November 1999, when he went to Beijing to petition for justice for Falun Gong, he was arrested and detained by Rongchang County's Public Security Bureau for one month. On December 27, 1999, he was taken to the Xishanping Forced Labor Camp in Chongchang County. Because of his unshakable faith in Falun Gong and his refusal to be "transformed," his sentence was extended by four months and again later for a total of eight months. He was released on December 26, 2001.
On June 28, 2007, agents from Lezhi County's State Security Bureau arrested Mr. Zhang Yongjun. Mr. Zhang went on a one-month hunger strike to protest the persecution. His lost a lot of weight within a short time and looked emaciated. On October 26, 2007, without notifying his family, the Lezhi County court secretly sentenced him to a nine-and-a-half-year prison term.
4. Mr. Zhu Yong, about 30 years old, worked for the Rongchang Yimin Machine shop in Chongqing City. On the night of July 19, 2000, he was arrested by officers from the Longchang State Security Bureau First Division and his home was ransacked. He was detained for one month. In August 2000, he was taken to the Xishanping Forced Labor Camp in Chongchang County where he served a one-and-a-half-year prison term.
5. Mr. Huang Yong, in his thirties, worked at the Rongchang Yimin Machine shop in Chongqing City. On the night of July 19, 2000, he was arrested by officers from the Longchang State Security Bureau's First Division and his home was ransacked. He was detained for one month. In August 2000, he was taken to the Xishanping Forced Labor Camp in Chongchang City where he served a one-and-a-half-year term.
6. Mr. Li Guochun, in his thirties, is a resident of Changyuan Town, Longchang County, Chongqing City. In January 2001, Mr. Li went to Beijing to petition for the right to practice Falun Gong and was arrested by Beijing police. He was taken back to Longchang City and the 610 Office forced him to attend a brainwashing session. His home was ransacked and his personal belongings confiscated. Later, he was transferred to the Xishanping Forced Labor Camp in Chongchang City, where he served a three-and-a-half-year term.
7. Ms. Wen Bangxiu, 60 years old, is a resident of Changyuan Town, Longchang County, in Chongqing City. In June 2007, she was arrested by officers from the Longchang State Security Bureau First Division and her home was ransacked. She was detained for one month. In July 2007, she was taken to the Shabao Women's Forced Labor Camp in Chongqing City, where she served a one-year prison term.
8. Ms. Wang Xueli, in her thirties, is a resident of Guangshun Town, Longchang County, Chongqing City. In April 2007, she was arrested by officers from the Longchang State Security Bureau First Division and detained for one month. Her home was also ransacked. In May 2007, she was taken to the Shabao Women's Forced Labor Camp in Chongqing City, where she served a one-year prison term.
9. Ms. Liu Jinhua lives in Guangshun Town, Longchang County, Chongqing City. In June 2007, she was arrested by officers from the Longchang State Security Bureau First Division and detained for one month; her home was ransacked. In July 2007, she was taken to the Shabao Women's Forced Labor Camp in Chongqing City, where she served a one-year prison term.
10. Mr. Shi Shitian is a resident of Guangshun Town, Longchang County, Chongqing City. In August 2008, he was arrested by officers from the Longchang State Security Bureau First Division and his home was ransacked. Later, police took him to the Xishanping Forced Labor Camp in Chongchang City where he served a one-year prison term.
