(Clearwisdom.net) Today's News from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 19 cities or counties in 9 provinces. In this report, 25 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention and at least 22 practitioners were illegally arrested.
1. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Xu Bin on Hunger Strike
On September 17, 2009, Ms. Xu Bin from the Lvyuan District in Changchun City was arrested. She has been on a hunger strike since that day. On October 1, police from the Changchun Municipal Public Security Bureau took her to a forced labor camp.
2. [Dehui City, Jilin Province] Mr. Li Dezhong Arrested in Changchun City
Mr. Li Dezhong in Dehui City had to leave his home and live on the move because the local police repeatedly harassed him. He was employed at the Xinyongchang Logistics Center on Hedong Street, Changchun City. On September 23, 2009, officers from the Changchun Municipal Public Security Bureau arrested him at work. The police confiscated his Falun Dafa books, MP3 and MP 5 players, several cell phone,s and his bank deposit book.
3. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Zhao Yumei Detained
Ms. Zhao Yumei worked at the Chemical Plant II, Daqing Petrochemical Company. On September 27, 2009, she asked for leave to go to Harbin on personal business, but was reported by the workshop leaders to the Wolitun Branch of Daqing Public Security Bureau. The following day, Ms. Zhao was arrested and detained on the third floor of the Ethylene Hospital Medical Division.
4. [Liangshan County, Shandong Province] Eighteen Practitioners Arrested
At around 9:00 p.m. on August 12, eighteen practitioners from Dushan Village in Liangshan County were arrested. After being held in the Liangshan County Detention Center for a month, Ms. Liu Fengzhi, 45; Ms. Hu Xiulan, 40; Ms. Ma Guilian, 50; and Ms. Bao Xiuling, 48, were sentenced to from one to one and a half years of forced labor. The country officials extorted 1,000-10,000 yuan from some of the practitioners before releasing them. The county officials continued to harass the practitioners.

5. [Huaiyang County, Henan Province] Ms. Peng Qin Arrested
On September 20, 2009, police from the State Security Bureau in Huaiyang County arrested Ms. Peng Qin.
6. [Hebei Province] Ms. Li Guiying Arrested
Ms. Li Guiying from the Seventh Department of the North China Petroleum Company was arrested. She is being held in the Hebei Public Security Bureau Detention Center.
7. [Yixian County, Hebei Province] Mr. Wang Deqian and Mr. Li Baojin Arrested and Suffering Longterm Detention and Torture
On March 12, 2008, Mr. Wang Deqian and Mr. Li Baojin were arrested by Tian Aijun from the Yixian State Security Bureau. They are being held in the Yixian Detention Center. Early in September 2009, officers from the Yixian Public Security Bureau took them to Jidong Prison in Tangshan City, Hebei Province. The prison did not accept them because of their poor physical condition, a result of past torture. They are still in the Yixian Detention Center.
On May 8, 2009, the Yixian County Courts sentenced Mr. Wang to a four-year prison term and Mr. Li to a three-year prison term.

8. [Hefei City, Anhui Province] Ms. Zhang Ping and Other Practitioners Arrested
During the night of September 22,2009, Ms. Zhang Ping, Ms. Da Yang, Ms. Xu Xiaoxian, Ms. Zhao Ronghua, and Ms. Tang Dafeng were arrested. They are detained in the Luosigang Police Station in Hefei Province.
9. [Huangshan City, Anhui Province] On September 17, 2009, Ms. Hong Liman and Ms. Hong Ling Detained
10. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Mr. Zhang Ke Detained at Chenjiaji Brainwashing Center
Mr. Zhang Ke from Xuzhou New Village in the Jiang'an District of Wuhan City was arrested at home by 610 Office agents and police, with Hu Shaobing in charge, on the evening of September 25, 2009. He is detained in the Chenjiaji Brainwashing Center.
11. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Four Practitioners Arrested
On September 14, 2009, Ms. Yin Xianfen, Ms. Luo Yi from Wenjiang District of Chengdu City, and two practitioners from Computer City were arrested at their rented home in the Wenjiang District by police from the State Security Bureau of Chengdu City. Ms. Yin and Ms. Luo are being held in the Wenjiang District Detention Center.

12. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Yan Jin Detained at Tangang Brainwashing Center
On September 24, 2009, Mr. Yan Jin from Guangzhou City was arrested from his work at Guangzhou Medical Supplies Co., Ltd. and taken to the Tangang Brainwashing Center of Guangzhou City by he 610 Office.
13. [Beijing] Ms. Zhang Yuxiang Arrested
Seven officers from the Jiangtai Road Police Station in the Chaoyang District of Beijing and two security guards broke into Ms. Zhang Yuxiang's home at 6:30 p.m. on September 17, 2009, and took her to Jiangtai Road Police Station. The police confiscated her Falun Dafa books and photos. Her whereabouts are unknown.
14. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Three Practitioners Arrested
Ms. Xu Shu-ling, 40, Ms. Ceng, 50, and Mr. Wu Rongbo, 37, were arrested at approximately 4:00 a.m. on September 24, 2009.
15. [Tieling City, Liaoning Province] Ms. GaoYunqing Arrested
Ms. Gao Yunqing from Yingchang Township, Xifeng County, Tieling City, was arrested on September 25, 2009. The police confiscated her Falun Dafa books and materials, as well as her television and VCD player.
16. [Zibo City, Shandong Province] Ms. You Junmei Arrested
On September 25, 2009, officers from Zibo City arrested Ms. You Junmei from Wangcun Town, Zhoucun District, Zibo City. She is detained at the 610 Office of Zibo City.
17. [Linli County, Hunan Province] Ms. Xu Fenfang Taken to Brainwashing Center
Officers from the Anfu Town Police Station in Linli County arrested Ms. Xu Fenfang from Linli County at home in the early morning of September 30, 2009. She is detained in the Changde Brainwashing Center.
18. [Zhuozhou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Liu Wen Arrested
Ms. Liu Wen in Zhuozhou City was arrested on September 19, 2009. She was arrested by officers from the Dashiwo Town Police Station and taken to the Fangshan District Detention Center. Later, Chang Guanhua and other police officers ransacked Ms. Liu's house and confiscated her Falun Dafa materials.
19. [Tianjin City] Ms. Song Wenhua Sentenced to a Prison Term
On the afternoon of January 25, 2008, dozens of officers from the Yixingfu Police Station in the Hongqiao Beichen District of Tianjin City broke into Ms. Song Wenhua's rented home and confiscated her computer, color printing machine, all-in-one printer, hard drive, Dafa books, and copies of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party.
On July 17, 2008, Ms. Song was transferred to the No. 1 Detention Center of Tianjin City. Later, she was sentenced to a five-and-a-half-year prison term by the Intermediate Court of Tianjin City. Since August of 2008, she has been detained in the fifth district of Ling Zhuangzi Women's Prison in the Nankai District, Tianjin.
20. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Gao Rongrong's Parents Monitored
Around October 2, 2009, Ms. Gao Rongrong's parents were put under surveillance by the State Security Division. Ms. Gao from Shenyang City was Tortured to Death Years Ago
21. [Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Li Guiqing and Ms. Sun Shulan Arrested
At 9 o'clock on September 29, 2009, plainclothes police from the Baqiao District arrested Ms. Liguiqing and Ms. Sun Shulan in Xi'an City when they were explaining to people about Falun Dafa. They are detained in the brainwashing center in the Chang'an District workers' nursing home.
22. [Huaning City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Pan Jianqiong Arrested in Yanghe Township
