Guangdong Province Police Saw Through Locks to Arrest Ms. Liang Shaolin

(Clearwisdom.net) The police arrested Ms. Liang Shaolin, a Falun Gong practitioner from Maoming, Guangdong Province, and took her to the Maoming Brainwashing Center (the former premises of the Hexi Traffic Police Team). She was previously held in a labor camp and brainwashing center for nearly six years because she practiced Falun Gong.

The latest incident happened at around 10:00 a.m. on September 24, 2009. Ten police officers, including Luo Ji and Li Weisong from the Maoxi District Police Department in Maoming City, tried to break into her residence while she and her parents were there. Ms. Liang resisted and refused to open the door. Five additional officers arrived, and they tried to saw through the lock with an electric saw to break open the double doors.

Ms. Liang opened the windows and shouted, "Falun Dafa is good!" The police succeeded in breaking the locks on the double doors at 4:00 p.m., and arrested her and ransacked the place. They confiscated cash, a computer, and a printer and even took her mother's cell phone and her younger sister's bank deposit book.

This group of communist regime thugs was extremely vicious in their unscrupulous actions. Bystanders were afraid and had to keep their resentments to themselves.

Ms. Liang Shaolin, 58, is a retired engineer from Maoming General Petrochemical Corp. After she began practicing Falun Gong, her mind and body were purified. She was also a volunteer in charge of the Hexi Falun Gong Assistance Center in Maoming City. She was recognized as a model employee and received yearly commendations at every place she worked.

After the communist regime began persecuting Falun Gong on July 20, 1999, she went to Beijing to appeal for the right to practice Falun Gong, but the police detained her on her way there. She was released after a seven-day hunger strike. Not long after, she once again captured and was subjected to two years of forced labor and held at the Sanshui Forced Labor Camp in Guangdong.

While at the labor camp, she was once locked in a dark room for 15 days and subjected to insect bites. She was also forced to squat for long periods--more than ten hours every day. In March 2002, inmates once severely beat her under orders from No. 3 Division leaders Gao and Wu. They also tried to force her to watch slanderous, brainwashing videos. She resisted with a hunger strike, and they had to give up in the end.

Following her incarceration at the Sanshui Forced Labor Camp, she was taken to the Maoming Brainwashing Center where Zhang Chongyun, Shen Didi, Wu Wenqiong, and other collaborators brutally tortured her. Ms. Liang continued to practice Falun Gong, so they often handcuffed her to the window bars or locked her in a dark room in the intense heat of summer, with all the windows boarded up. She refused to accept the fabricated accusations and never caved in under persecution.

Officials eventually returned her to the Sanshui Forced Labor Camp, moving her back and forth between the two facilities in Maoming and Sanshui many times. This way, the original two-year forced labor sentence was extended to nearly six years.

Despite the unlawful detention and persecution, Ms. Liang maintained her firm faith all along and finally left the forced labor camp on March 31, 2005. Her husband was forced to divorce her while she was incarcerated, and she was dismissed from her job.

Following Ms. Liang's latest capture, her parents, both in their 80s, and her younger sister asked to visit her, but the brainwashing center officials refused their request without a valid reason.

It is said that, right now, even when her elderly parents go out, plainclothes officers follow them. They have lost all personal freedom.
