(Clearwisdom.net) I started practicing Falun Gong in 1997 when I was 77 years old. I enlightened that Dafa is magnificent and the most righteous law of the universe.
When I was 80, I went to Beijing and peacefully appealed for Falun Dafa. However, I was illegally detained at a detention center. Someone there said to me, "You will stay here!"
At that moment, I thought to myself, "What you say does not count. Only what Teacher says counts."
Due to my righteous thoughts, the following day unusual conditions appeared all over my body. The guards noticed that I was sick, but I was clear in my mind that I couldn't be sick since I firmly believed in Master and Dafa. The detention center personnel were afraid of being held responsible for my "sickness," so they just released me.
There are only my wife and I at home now. My children have married and moved out. My wife and I obtained the Fa almost at the same time. Although we are both almost 90, we are still very strict with ourselves. We try our best to do the three things required by Master.
My wife didn't have a chance to go to school, but she can read Zhuan Falun without her glasses. Once her legs ached, making it very difficult for her to walk. However, when we went out in the middle of the night to distribute truth-clarification materials, she walked very fast--even faster than I did--and her legs no longer hurt. We were astonished at Dafa's mighty power.
Late one night, I was going out to distribute copies of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party when I suddenly ran into someone. He shouted at me, "Stop! Who are you?" I didn't feel frightened and I thought to myself, "What I am doing is the most righteous thing in the whole universe." As he approached, I realized that he was someone that I knew. I said to him, "I have more than ten booklets in my hand, and I have to distribute them all." He said nothing and quietly left due to my righteous thoughts. I continued distributing my booklets to the houses of Chinese Communist Party (CCP) members. I sincerely hope that they will learn the truth about Falun Gong, quit the CCP and its related organizations, and be saved as soon as possible. This event showed me the miraculous power of righteous thoughts.
Another time late at night night when I went out to distribute truth-clarification materials, I had intended to head north, but I couldn't find which way was north exactly. I wondered what was going on. Then I changed direction, turned south, and distributed all the materials in my hand. When I wanted to return home, I walked the way I thought was north. Suddenly I saw several police wagons ahead of me, and I realized that it was Master who was protecting me from meeting with danger.
On one occasion I rode my bicycle to a fellow practitioner's home. Just as I was crossing some train tracks, a train was coming toward me. It was only a meter away from me. Fortunately I managed to cross the tracks safely. This frightened the train engineer very much. It was very dangerous. This time Master protected me again. I couldn't live and cultivate without Master's protection.
Cultivation doesn't depend on one's rank, position, wealth, or age. Although I am 88, I still behave strictly according to Master's requirements. I try my best to do the three things well and persuade people to quit the CCP and its related organizations. Sometimes I walk or ride my bicycle to the homes of my good friends and relatives to persuade them to quit the CCP and its youth organizations. I have even walked as far as twelve miles away. I just regard these people as sentient beings who need to be saved. I save them with my sincere heart, and I behave according to the requirements of Dafa.

On my cultivation path I have experienced several times the miracles of Dafa--I could only have done this through cultivation. I must have the correct starting point in all that I do, be good to others, be free of discontentment or hatred, be selfless, consider others first, and measure everything I do against the Fa. I need to study the Fa frequently and with a calm mind, do the three things well that Master requires of us, walk forward quickly, and follow Master home.
