(Clearwisdom.net) The Chinese Communist Party has used the Olympics to prolong its final days by painting a picture of a "peaceful and magnificent era" to deceive the world. But its main purpose is to drag the world's people down and to bury them along with it. Three months before the Games began, nine Falun Gong practitioners were illegally detained in the Zhufu District in Yantai City. It is impossible to estimate the number of practitioners that have since been harassed, monitored, forced to leave home, and become destitute.
A sampling of what has gone on:
In May 2008, Yantai Zhifu District 610 Office agents Gao Xiu, Zhang Minghui, and Zhang Chunjie actively carried out the CCP's policy to "intensify the persecution of Falun Gong during the Olympic Games." They went to great lengths to get the address of practitioner Ms. Miao Chunyan's employer. In front of everyone there, she was arrested and taken to the Yantai Brainwashing Center. On June 3, 2008, they also arrested her mother-in-law, who is over 60, and took her to the brainwashing center. Her mother-in-law developed a severe illness and was in critical condition, so the police had to release her. But they transferred Ms. Miao to a detention center. Her five-year-old child and her mother are going to suffer as a result of the family being separated again.
Ms. Li Shujun and her husband, Mr. Wang Jiansu, were held in a brainwashing center because they were explaining the facts about the persecution of Falun Gong in public. Ms. Li is over 50, and her husband has severe diabetes and requires a caregiver, but their only child is working in another city and cannot help him. Her father-in-law is bedridden after a stroke and requires around-the-clock care. Their current home situation is heartbreaking.
Practitioner Mr. Zhang Guangchuan, who lives in Beidao Village, has been arrested by the CCP numerous times, even though he is generally acknowledged by the entire village as a good person. On July 15, 2008, at 6 p.m., he was arrested again by the local police while at home. From information received, he is being held in the basement of a brainwashing center, where he is handcuffed and shackled around the clock.
On June 11, 2008, practitioner Ms. Liu Wenjuan was arrested and taken to the brainwashing center Once there, she was brutally abused, and her legs became severely swollen. Her family is extremely worried about her health. Their visitation rights have been canceled, and no reason has been given. In the past Ms. Liu used to have severe heart disease and has already lived through two surgeries.
Practitioner Ms. Liu Yufeng is elderly. Her husband, Mr. Long Lianzheng, was an engineer with Happy Construction Company. He passed away in November 2007 after long term persecution, harassment, torture, and having to live in a state of perpetual fear. On June 11, 2008, 610 Office personnel Gao Xiu, Zhang Minghui, and Zhang Chunjie, along with the residents committee, raided her home. They held her down and injured her arms. They took a great deal of personal property. Even as they were committing such outrages, this kind lady still clarified the truth to them, telling them not to do bad things, as there is justice in this world.
