(Clearwisdom.net) On August 2, as tourists around the world gathered in Edinburgh, one day before the largest Art Festival's official kick-off, Falun Gong practitioners staged a grand parade on Prince Street, a major thoroughfare in the Scottish city, to raise awareness of the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) persecution of the practice.

The march was led by banners which read "Falun Gong," "Falun Dafa Spreads to More than 80 Countries," and "Falun Dafa is Good", and followed by a waist drum troupe formed by practitioners in bright yellow suits. Behind the troupe, led by a banner which read "Persecution of Falun Gong in China has lasted 9 years - Immediately Stop the Persecution", female practitioners in white dresses marched while holding portrait photos of practitioners who have died during the persecution. At the end of the procession, a giant banner called on the public to take action to end this unprecedented persecution.
The practitioners marched through downtown Edinburgh for an hour. Along the parade route, many spectators received practitioners' truth-clarifying fliers and lotus flowers. The flier provided an introduction to Falun Gong and documented facts about the brutal persecution. The lotus flowers had bookmarks attached that read "Falun Dafa is Good" or "The World Needs Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance."
Many people watched the parade attentively. Some gave warm applause and some used cameras or camcorders to record the special moment.
