(Clearwisdom.net) At 9:05 p.m. on February 1, 2008, with the sound of drum beats, the curtain closed on the first half of the third show of the Divine Performing Arts' Chinese New Year Splendor at Radio City Music Hall in New York. During the intermission, a loyal supporter of Divine Performing Arts, former Manhattan Zhangshi Art Company owner Mr. Zhang Buyi, shared his impressions with a fully moved heart. He thought the beauty of the Divine Performing Arts Splendor had reached a peak. He felt that the inner meaning could purify the entire world, and he predicted that this show would shake the whole world.

Mr. Zhang stated that after only two pieces, he had a strong sensation that this show could impact the whole world. He predicted that some day, the Chinese theory of heaven and man as one would spread to the whole world through the Divine Performing Arts show, which could uplift the Chinese culture, purify the world, and stop the world from moral decline.
He believes that the Divine Performing Arts show is based solidly on the Chinese cultural principle of "heaven and man as one". Using dance and music, the show perfectly displayed five thousand years of Chinese culture and traditional values, such as loyalty, respect, manners, courtesy, humility, and integrity. The show was a summary of Chinese civilization. It could educate and purify people like the ancient songs, "Spring Snow" (1) and "Mountain Torrent" (2) did, with its high artistic expressions.
Mr. Zhang Buyi felt that the Divine Performing Arts show easily moves the hearts of the audience because of the natural empathy elicited by the performances. He said, "This is not an ordinary evening show; it carries a divine power. The classical dances are the quintessence of divine beauty." He especially thought that the Korean dance was a great success, and the scenery designs and expressions both manifested artistic breakthroughs.
He pointed out that when Chinese people mention music, it makes them think of the Chinese character for "instrument (��)," because ancients said that "��" (pronounced like "chin") means repelling evil energy, which elevates one's mind nature. Noblemen in ancient times said, "Do not forget and take ��casually." It's like admiring a piece of jade: one does not want to put it down because the jade is very pure. People can see the importance of music as a means to upgrade morality. Mr. Zhang felt that the Chinese New Year Splendor could purge all evil elements.

(1) "The Spring Snow" and the "Song of the Rustic Poor" were songs during the Kingdom of Chu in 3rd century B.C. The music of the first was on a higher level than that of the second.
(2) A musical piece composed by Boya in the Zhan'guo period (403-221 B.C.). A woodsman heard his music, interpreted it perfectly, and they became the best of friends. This title alludes to understanding and appreciative friends, no matter what social classes they belong to.
