(Clearwisdom.net) The Chinese New Year Splendor performed by the Divine Performing Arts drew a standing ovation and rave reviews from both Eastern and Western members of the audience.

The unfolding of the essence of Chinese traditional culture was very well received, especially by Chinese people. The profound content of the show seemed to touch their souls and awaken their consciences. Especially, the song "I Am Singing for You" by Jiang Min appeared to deeply touch many people's hearts.

The lyrics to the song are, "Fifty years of lies built the red wall. The scoundrels ruined the five thousand years of civilization. Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance will not change because of this...As soon as you understand the truth; this is your hope of being saved..."

Originally from Beijing, Mr. Zhang, told the interviewer, "I am a businessman in New York now. Before I immigrated to the United States, I was a reporter and an editor for over ten years. Before the Chinese New Year, my wife bought two tickets to the New Year Splendor. We came here to experience it for ourselves."

Mrs. Zhang said, "The show deeply touched my heart."

Recommending the Show to Chinese Diplomats, Reporters, and Businessmen

Mr. Zhang said, "I am deeply moved. The five thousand years of splendid Chinese culture is so profound. The Divine Performing Arts demonstrated it so gracefully within two and a half hours, soaking my heart like rain on the desert. The beautiful background designs and the elegant dances are so amazing and drew rounds of applause."

His favorite part was the countryside background design with mountains, tree, and rivers. "It reminded me of my hometown that I miss so much. It brought tears to my eyes."

Although Mr. Zhang has already become an American citizen, he still misses his hometown very much. He said, "I love my home country. I love the Chinese culture. I love the people who live on that land and love every single blade of grass and tree there. I am grateful to the Divine Performing Arts for giving me an experience I never had before."

Although Mr. Zhang and his family and relatives are not Falun Gong practitioners, due to the sensitivity around this in the media, he has been following the news about Falun Gong. Regarding the persecution of Falun Gong by the Communist regime, he said, "I knew they would be persecuted. But I did not expect the persecution to be so long and brutal. Young, old, women, children, the sick, and the weak--every practitioner was persecuted."

He said, "It is deeply disturbing that a government would use the power of the state and its extensive resources to persecute a group of kind and innocent people."

Mr. Zhang thinks that it is absolutely unacceptable to persecute Falun Gong practitioners, "The practitioners face the risk of brutal torture, having their organs harvested, being detained, and becoming homeless just for being good people and following the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance. No kind person could understand why pursuing the basic freedom of belief and freedom of speech would deserve persecution. This is absolutely unacceptable."

He said, "For the Divine Performing Arts to stage this production around the world, spreading the Chinese culture and helping people from different backgrounds understand the Chinese culture, is a great and selfless effort. They are outstanding Chinese people who should be respected by people throughout entire world."

Mr. Zhang thinks that the CCP regime should not mistreat and harass them. They should welcome and support the Divine Performing Arts. "I hope the Chinese diplomats, reporters, and businessmen all come to see the show."

Appealing to Hu and Wen to Have the Courage to Stop the Persecution and Bring Those Responsible to Justice

Mr. Zhang wanted to take this opportunity to say something to Hu Jintao and Wen Jiabao, the current heads of the regime in China: "You have been in power for over four years. Do not disappoint us any more. You should know that every day this persecution continues more people are being tortured to death, and more children are becoming orphans, more families are being destroyed."

He believes that if Hu and Wen can use their political wisdom and courage to stop the persecution, they would get people's support and approval. He said, "I hope you do not associate with the evil. I hope you become wise politicians and follow what the people want, follow Heaven's will, and bring those responsible to justice. This would gain you much more love from the people than your visiting countryside homes or bowing to people."
