(Clearwisdom.net) My friend is an English interpretor. She joins activities to clarify the truth about Falun Dafa to tourists at the Grand Palace whenever she has time. She takes display boards and copies of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party when she goes. She comes back in high spirits, full of heartwarming stories. The following is some of what she has shared with us.
I notice that more and more Chinese tourists have digital cameras and camcorders. Many in today's tourist group had cameras. One took pictures of our entire display. Those following him also took pictures one by one. About seven or eight of them took turns taking pictures. The last one was a young man in his 30s. After taking pictures of one side of the display, he poked his head around to the other side and asked me, "Could you turn it over?" I did. He continued to take pictures and then had to run to catch up with his group after he finished.
Last time I held a display board at the pier of the Grand Palace, a man took pictures of my board. I looked out from behind the board and told him, "Let me know when you are done. There is more on the other side." He said after a bit, "I'm done." He took more pictures after I turned it over, thanked me, and hurried to catch up with his group.
Many tourists used to be nervous when they looked at the display. They are much bolder now. Some tour guides were influenced by the CCP and threaten tourists not to accept truth-clarification materials. However, customs doesn't have the right to check the pictures tourists take. They can share the pictures with their families and friends. In this fashion, more and more people will learn the facts of the persecution.
A big Thai policeman came over today. He had snatched newsletters about the Nine Commentaries from another practitioner before. He asked in English, "Are you Chinese? Show me your IDs." I said, "Don't you want to see our display? Here it is." I directed his attention to the display and told him the CCP's bloody history of persecution.
When he saw the picture of a policemen in Tiananmen Square stepping on the head of a Falun Gong practitioner and holding a knife to the practitioner's throat, he was shocked and angry, "Is this a Chinese policeman? That's terrible! Look at the people around. They look indifferent!"
He was even more disturbed to hear how the CCP harvests organs from living Falun Gong practitioners and exclaimed, "It is terrible!"
He told me he thought that Chinese people were not happy. I said, "It is true. Tourists from Taiwan, Korea, and Japan look at ease. But tourists from Mainland China seem to be unhappy and reserved. You can tell." I made a facial expression. He agreed, "Exactly. I noticed the same thing. Why are the Chinese like that?" I said, "The poor Chinese people! The CCP even wants to control people's minds. It wants to control everything." He said, "I don't like the Communist Party. People in Communist countries like North Korea, Burma, and Vietnam are all having a difficult time."
Some tourists walked over. Pointing at a fellow practitioner, I told the police officer, "We just show them our display. We are peaceful. We hope they will learn these facts and won't be deceived anymore." He said, "Great! You can do that. No problem. Don't the Chinese people know this?" I replied, "Many of them don't. The CCP has spent so much money blocking the Internet so that people won't find out these facts. So we hold activities like this to inform people, awaken them, and encourage them to quit the CCP so that the Chinese people will live happily."
He said to me sincerely, "Great! No problem. I understand now. But some of my colleagues don't. Two of your friends were arrested before." When he saw the practitioner from whom he had snatched the newsletter, he shook her hand and said, "We are friends!" He explained to me, "I am here to inspect tour guides' ID's." When his cell phone rang, he waved goodbye to us as he answered it.
A few tourists walked over. One lady asked, "What is it?" I told her, "We are Falun Gong practitioners. We follow the principles of 'Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance.' Look." I read aloud, "The World Needs Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance", pointing at the banner. She read it and seemed to tremble when she did. She agreed wholeheartedly. When she left, she was still murmuring "Falun Gong" as if recalling a memory.
I had the same feeling hearing my friend's stories. Another friend of mine told me, "Truth-clarification displays are a unique phenomenon. It is the greatest pity for Chinese tourists if they don't see any when they go overseas." It is more and more true.
Display boards show the beauty and compassion of Falun Dafa on the one hand and tell people about the evil and shamelessness of the CCP on the other. They awaken the viewers' human nature and overcome the barriers of language and ethnicity. More and more tour guides and police officers have learned that Falun Gong practitioners, with display boards in hand, are demonstrating the existence of freedom and democracy in Thailand as well as kindness and friendliness of the Thai. The tyranny of the CCP is becoming notorious around the world.
