1. [Liaoning Province] Dafa Practitioners at Shenyang Prison Hold Group Hunger Strike
According to a reliable source, around July 20, 2006, all Dafa practitioners still illegally detained at Ward 20 in the No. 2 Men's Prison in Shenyang Prison City of Liaoning Province held a group hunger strike to protest the persecution.
Three Dafa practitioners have been tortured to death at Ward 20 since its establishment in August 2001. The three practitioners are Mr. Han Liguo from Lingang, and Mr. Sun Qian and Mr. Fan Weihuai from Chaoyang City. Dafa practitioner Mr. Yu Fei was disabled from torture. Practitioners Mr. Shi Jingsheng from Anshan, and Mr. Liu Mingjie from Fushun, suffered a nervous breakdown from torture.

2. [Chongqing] Local Police Nab Dafa Practitioner - Mr. Huang Cheng Deceived and Arrested
Mr. Huang Cheng is in his 30s and started practicing Dafa in 1994. His previous employer, the Shapingba Electricity Company, dismissed him illegally in August 2000. Undercover agents arrested him in early 2001. He was detained and sentenced to forced labor, the sentence to be served at the Xishanping Forced Labor Camp in Chongqing.
During the time at the labor camp, Beibei Court persecutors in Chongqing City sentenced Mr. Huang to seven years in prison. He was sent to the Chongqing City Prison during the second half of 2002 to be further persecuted. Following ruthless tortures, he developed severe bone tuberculosis symptoms. Mr. Huang was released on medical parole in April 2005. Fourteen months later, when Huang Cheng's health had first started to improve, officials from the Chongqing City Prison and from the Tuzhu Police Department, colluded with each other. They seized him once again in June 2006. [So far we have no specific information about his fate].
3. [Panjin City, Liaoning Province] Several Dafa Practitioners Arrested
The police arrested Dafa practitioners Mr. Zou Liming, Mr. Wang Baofu, barbershop owner Ms. Li and Ms. Li's husband on July 22, 2006. The police ransacked their homes and the homes of two other practitioners.
4. [Laiwu City, Shandong Province] Dafa Practitioner Mr. Zhang Arrested
Mr. Zhang, a Dafa practitioner from Shabuzi Village, Gaozhuang Town, Laiwu City, Shandong Province was reported when distributing truth clarification materials in mid July 2006 and Laiwu City police agents then arrested him. He is now being held at the Laiwu City Detention Center.
5. [Liaoning Province] Dafa Practitioner Mr. Zhao Jiyuan Savagely Tortured at Ward 20 of the No. 2 Shenyang Prison
According to a reliable source, as of June 28, 2006, Dafa practitioner Mr. Zhao Jiyuan from Dadong District in Shenyang City has been held at Ward 20 of the No. 2 Prison part of Shenyang Prison City. This is a ward that detains only Falun Gong practitioners. He was savagely tortured and detained in solitary confinement for refusing to wear the prison uniform.
6. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Dafa Practitioner Ms. Guan Yue Arrested - Dafa Practitioner Ms. Li Chunling's Whereabouts Unknown
Dafa practitioners Ms. Guan Yue and Ms. Li Chunling are both graduates from Dalian University of Technology. Officials from Guan Yue's place of work arrested her on June 2. Li Chunling escaped when the police ransacked her home. Her current whereabouts are unknown. Her six-month-old baby is without a mother.

Fifty eight year-old Dafa practitioner Ms. Chen Shuwen from Shenyang City was arrested on July 4, 2006, when distributing truth clarification materials in the Tongtian Neighborhood District. Officers from the Danan Police Department and the 610 Office arrested her and ransacked her home. They took Dafa books, DVD recorder(s) and other things.

12. [Panjin City, Liaoning Province] Police Try to Arrest Dafa Practitioner Mr. Zhang Yawei - Dafa Practitioner Mr. Liu Guangqing Arrested - Both Homes Ransacked
Between 10:00 a.m. and noon on July 22, 2006, a group of police officers broke into the home of Dafa practitioner Mr. Zhang Yawei in Zhengjia Village, Shaling Township, Panshan County, Panjin City and ransacked it. They took a motorcycle. Zhang Yawei was not home at the time the police took away Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Liu Guangqing (who was visiting Mr. Zhang's home at the time).
Dafa practitioner Mr. Liu Guangqing is a teacher at the Yulou Technical Institute (near the Liaohe Oilfield) who lives in the Yulou Oilfield residential district. Participating in the arrest were five officials, including Huang Haiou, a deputy division head from Xinglongtai Police Department and officials from Xinglongtai National Security Division. These officials ransacked Mr. Liu's home and took his computer and some Dafa books.
13. [Tianjin] Dafa Practitioner Ms. Zhang Guifen Sentenced to Two Years of Forced Labor
Dafa practitioner Ms. Zhang Guifen from Tianjin City is in her 60s. She was arrested in Tianjin in June 2006 and sentenced to two years of forced labor. Ms. Zhang is now being held at a labor camp in Dagang, Tianjin.

Officials from the National Security Section arrested practitioner Mr. Xu Huaian from Fulin Township, Tonghe County, from his home at around 4:00 a.m. on July 18, 2006.
15. [Beijing] Officials from the Xicheng Police Department Persecute Dafa Practitioners Mr. Cheng Yuxin and Ms. Ou Yangyan
Dafa practitioner Mr. Cheng Yuxin, an engineer at North China Power Grid Company, was arrested from work. The arrest happened in the morning of July 19, 2006, by officers from the Xicheng Police Department. His current whereabouts are unknown. In the afternoon, the police went to his wife Ou Yangyan's employers at the Communication University of China, in an attempt to arrest her. Ou Yangyan escaped and is now living in exile. Their home was ransacked. Their Dafa books and materials were taken away.
16. [Beijing] Dafa Practitioners Ms. Ma Shuhua and Mr. Zhang Shuhai Detained
Dafa practitioners Ms. Ma Shuhua and Mr. Zhang Shuhai, from Zhangzuo Village, Jinhaihu Town, Pinggu District are detained at the Pinggu National Security Division. Zhang Shuhai was arrested around July 18.
17. [Yichang City, Hubei Province] Dafa Practitioners Ms. Peng Zexiu and Others Arrested
Dafa practitioner Ms. Shen Lieying and Ms. Peng Zexiu from Yichang City, Hubei Province, both in their 60s, were arrested by officers from the Yaowan Police Department in Yichang City. They were later sent to the No. 3 Detention Center in Yichang City. Shen Lieying returned home following more than 15 days of detention, but Peng Zexiu was sentenced to one year of forced labor. The police are trying to send her to the Wuchang Forced Labor Camp for further persecution.

19. [Tianjin] Practitioner Zhang Shujuan Arrested
Practitioner Ms. Zhang Shujuan from Xiaozhou Village, Gaocun Township, Wuqing District, in Tianjin, was reported to the police. It happened on the evening of July 12, 2006, while she was making some truth-clarifying materials in Dawu Village, Yongledian Township, Tongxian County, Beijing. Beijing police later arrested her. Her whereabouts are unknown now.
20. [Shanghai] Practitioner Zhang Xiaomei Arrested - Her Home Ransacked
Personnel from the Xinchang Town Police Station and from the Nandajie Street Administrative Committee in Xinchang Town arrested practitioner Ms. Zhang Xiaomei from Xinchang Town, Nanhui District of Shanghai at around 7:00 p.m. on July 6, 2006. She is now held at the Nanhui District Detention Center.
21. [Beijing] Practitioner Gao Erlin Held at the Qinghe Detention Center
Practitioner Mr. Gao Erlin from Liulin Village, Sujiatuo Town, Beijing's Haidian District, was arrested on July 20, 2006, while distributing truth-clarifying materials. He is now being held at the Qinghe Detention Center.

22. [Panjin City, Liaoning Province] Several Practitioners Arrested
Personnel from the Panjin City Political & Judiciary Department, from Panshan County's "610 Office," and from the local police station, collaborated together to arrest several practitioners from Panjin City at around 8:00 a.m. on July 22, 2006. It's now known the arrested practitioners include Mr. Zou Liming. He worked at the Liaohe Oil & Chemical Factory in Panjin City. Mr. Wang Fuxing, a teacher from Panshan County, and two other practitioners from Liaohua City were arrested.
Police confiscated a motorcycle from practitioner Mr. Zhang Yawei from Zhengjiacun Village, Shaling Town, Panshan County while he was not at home. The police kicked Zhang Yawei's wife.
23. [Wuxi City, Jiangsu Province] Practitioner Wang Xiaotang Arrested - Her Whereabouts Unknown
Practitioner Ms. Wang Xiaotang from the Mashan District, Wuxi City, was arrested on July 10, 2006. Police ransacked her home and confiscated her two computers, a copy machine and some other items. Wang Xiaotang's whereabouts are unknown now.
Another practitioner from the Mashan District, Wuxi City was arrested in December 2005. His/her home was ransacked.
Two practitioners were arrested in June 2006, and their homes were ransacked.

24. [Hejian City, Hebei Province] Practitioner Li Xiuzhen and Others Taken to the Hejian Police Station
Practitioners Ms. Li Xiuzhen, Ms. Jin Guixiang, and Ms. Li Fengqin from Hejian City, went to Guozhuang Township to distribute truth-clarifying materials the evening of July 21, 2006. Some people who do not know the truth of Falun Dafa reported them to the police, who arrested the practitioners. They were later taken to Hejian City Detention Center.

25. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Practitioner Xia Xueying and Others Arrested
Practitioners Ms. Xia Xueying and Ms. Hu Yanfang from Wuchang District, Wuhan City, were reported to police and thus arrested at 9:00 p.m. on July 18, 2006, when distributing truth-clarifying materials around the city's No.3 Hospital. Ms. Xia was sent to the Yangyuan Brainwashing Class in Wuchang District, Ms. Hu to the city's No.1 Detention Center.
26. [Anlu City, Hubei Province] Practitioner Zhang Jianying Living in Exile - Her Whereabouts Unknown
Policeman Mei De'an and three other individuals broke into and ransacked practitioner Ms. Zhang Jianying's home, but didn't find anything. Then they went to ransack the Dongdajunrong Drug Store where Ms. Zhang worked. They confiscated some truth-clarifying materials. Ms. Zhang chose to live in exile to avoid further persecution. Her whereabouts are unknown.
27. [Liu'an City, Anhui Province] Practitioner Xu Changjiang and Others Put on Trial
Persons at the Liu'an City Court in Anhui Province tried practitioners Mr. Xu Changjiang, Mr. Huang Chaohui and Mr. Wei Guo at around 8:00 a.m. on June 29, 2006. Mr. Xu and Mr. Huang resisted the illegal trial with righteous thoughts while in court. The court adjourned rapidly because they could not prove the defendants guilty.
Mr. Xu Changjiang from Liu'an City was arrested around October 25, 2005, at home. He is still being held at Liu'an City Detention Center. His new wife and old mother worry about him a lot at home.
Mr. Wei Guo from Matou Town, Liu'an City, opted to live in exile. He was arrested on October 29, 2005 in Hefei City and is still being held at the city's detention center. He has an aged father and two children at home. His father was recently diagnosed with cancer.
Mr. Huang Chaohui, from Wuhu City, runs a photocopy shop with his wife in Hefei City. He was arrested on October 29, 2005. Police confiscated a copy machine and some other personal belongings worth tens of thousands of yuan. He's still being held at the Liu'an City Detention Center. His wife and a three-year-old child are left at home.

Policeman Han Tianhong from the Bohai Oil Company Security Division had some people following practitioner Ms. Wu Donghong for several days. He is employed by the Bohai Oil Company, Tanggu District, Tianjin. Persecutor Han and three other officers from the Tanggu District Police Department arrested practitioner Wu Donghong from her workplace. Ms. Wu is currently being held at the district's Zhaojiadi Detention Center.
In the meantime, Han Tianhong ordered some policemen to ransack the home of practitioner Ms. Zhang Yinli and confiscate her computer and personal belongings.

Practitioner Mr. Tang Bingsheng, 52 years old, from Duiji Village, Group Three, Buyunqiao Town, Qidong County, Hunan Province was arrested at home at 9:00 p.m. on July 12, 2006.

31. [Qidong County, Hunan Province] Brief Updated Information of Practitioners Recently Persecuted
On July 1, Mr. Peng Huayang, 50 years old, an officer of Qidong County Communist Party School, was sentenced to two years of forced labor.
On July 2, Mr. Zhou Guangquan, 51 years old, a villager from Jinqiao Town, Qidong County, was sentenced to three years of forced labor.
On July 2, Ms. Peng Fubin, 41 years old, from Shuangfeng Village, Baidi City, Qidong County, was detained 15 days.
On July 2, Mr. Kuang Zongyao, 57 years old, from Xinhe Village, Buyunqiao Town, Qidong County, was detained 15 days.

On July 13, Ms. Li Yingchun, 38 years old, a worker of the Qingshuitang Mine, Qidong County, was illegally detained 15 days.
On July 13, Ms. Luo Guangliang, 65 years old, retired, was detained 15 days.
All these detained practitioners had to pay 300 yuan.
32. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Practitioner Li Shujuan Arrested Again
More than ten people suddenly broke into Ms. Li Shujuan's home at around 7:00 p.m. on July 21, 2006. They ransacked the home and took Ms. Li away.

Practitioner Mr. Jiao Meishan was arrested in early March 2006. His family is requesting his release.

34. [Yichun City, Heilongjiang Province] Practitioner Zhou Shuhai is in Critical Condition in the Daqing City Prison
Practitioner Mr. Zhou Shuhai is being held at the Daqing Prison in very poor health. The Daqing Prison officials forbade family visits with the excuse that practitioners are not wearing he inmate's uniform. They also set up some surveillance cameras in cells to persecute practitioners further.
35. [Henan Province] Jiaozuo City Regime Instigates Public to Persecute Practitioners
A lot of Falun Gong truth-clarifying materials appeared in many villages, communities, streets and lanes near the Jiaoxi District in Jiaozuo City the morning of July 7, 2006. On July 10, Jiaozuo City Police Department agents posted a "Reward Announcement," which stated that anyone who provides clues prior to October 1, 2006, as to the person(s) who prints, distributes or posts Falun Gong materials will be rewarded with 8,000 yuan and 2,000 yuan after October 1, 2006.

Personnel from the Baixia District 610 Office and from the local police station arrested practitioner Ms. Liu Shuying on July 13, 2006 for truth-clarification activities. She lives at the Nanjing Army Engineering Collage residential.
37. [Heilongjiang Province] Practitioner Chen Fengzhen Arrested
Officer Li Wenzhong from the Xingnan Police Office of the Honggang District Police Department in Daqing City, arrested practitioner Ms. Chen Fengzhen the night of July 21, 2006 when Ms. Chen was making truth-clarifying materials. Ms. Chen's current whereabouts are unknown.

38. [Mianyang City, Sichuan Province] Practitioner Yang Min, Employed at the Puming Machine Factory, Arrested
Gaoxin District Police Department chief Liu Shijie led a group of lawless policemen and searched the home of practitioner Ms. Yang Min, a teacher. They arrested her the morning of June 21, 2006. Her whereabouts are so far unknown.
39. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Practitioner Li Shujuan Arrested Again
Practitioner Ms. Li Shujuan, 44 years old, is temporarily living in Chengdu City. She was clarifying the truth at the Baima Temple in the Jinniu District the morning of May 12, 2006. Personnel from the North Renmin Road Police Precinct arrested her and sent her to the Pi County Detention Center in Chengdu City. She left the detention center with dignity on June 18, 2006.
At about 7:00 p.m. on July 21, Li Shujuan was illegally arrested again at home. Her house was searched. Her father is 85 years old and cannot take care of himself. In the last five years, Li Shujuan had always taken care of her father. Her parents are leading a very difficult life now that Li Shujuan was arrested.
40. [Zhengzhou City, Henan Province] Zhengzhou City Authorities Sentenced Nine Practitioners and Sent Them to Imprisonment in 2005
Nine practitioners were arrested in 2005. They are Ms. Sun Sulan, Ms. Geng Yunhua, Li Liansi, Ma Sujing, Mr. Zhang Hongbing, Ms. Wang Jingjing, Ms. Wang Xiuzhen, Mr. Wang Changxi and Ms. Qiu Chunlian. The arrests happened between September 14 and 15 in 2005. On February 7, 2006, the Jinshui District Court proceedings ended in a mistrial. On June 21, 2006, Zhengzhou City 610 Office usurped the name of the Jinshui District Court (without informing the court) and illegally sentenced the nine practitioners. Sun Sulan and Geng Yunhua were sentenced to three years of imprisonment with five years probation. The others were sentenced to three to four years of imprisonment. Except for Sun Sulan and Geng Yunhua, the seven other practitioners have appealed to the Zhengzhou City People's Court.
41. [Tianjin] Practitioner Wu Donghong Arrested
Practitioner Ms. Wu Donghong is employed at an institute of the Oil Extraction Technology Service Company associated with the Bohai Oil Company in Tanggu District of Tianjin. Personnel from the 610 Office at the Tanggu District Police Department arrested her from her workplace on July 21, 2006.
