1. [Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province] Falun Gong Practitioner Qian Yufeng Arrested

Around 9:00 p.m. on February 15, 2006, officer Yang Chunming, the National Security chief from the Ankang Police Station affiliated with the Xi'an Railway Police Department, and policeman Chen Aiming colluded with personnel from the Dazhou City Police Department. They went to the Dazhou City Steel Factory to arrest Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Qian Yufeng and they also ransacked his home.

2. [Tianmen City, Hubei Province] Falun Gong Practitioner He Meirong Put into the Wuhan City Brainwashing Class

On February 20, 2006, personnel from the Tianmen City 610 Office illegally arrested practitioner He Meirong and put him/her into the Wuhan City Brainwashing Class in Hubei Province.

3. [Fucheng County, Hebei Province] Chang Fengzhen Arrested, Incarcerated at the Daxing County's Tuanhe Forced Labor Camp

Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Chang Fengzhen from Fucheng County, Hebei Province was sentenced at the Haidian District Court. She is to be held in Daxing County's Tuanhe Forced Labor Camp in Beijing.

4. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Police Harass Practitioners Guo Yunfang and Yu Qingyun

Three officers including Wang Wei from the Diaoyutai Police Station arrested practitioners Ms. Guo Yunfang and Yu Qingyun from Tangshan City. They held the two practitioners overnight and ransacked their home(s) on the second day. They took away some Dafa books and Master's pictures. In addition, they fined both practitioners a total of 7,000 yuan.

After the Chinese Lunar New Year, officers from the Diaoyutai Police Station harassed the two practitioners many more times, and ordered them to go to the police station. The two practitioners therefore had to leave home to avoid the further persecution.

5. [Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province] 610 Office Personnel Arrested Practitioners Li Xinwu and An Heqing

On January 5, 2006, personnel from the "610 Office" at the Shenzhen City Police Department arrested practitioners Li Xinwu and An Heqing. An Heqing has been sentenced to forced labor and has appealed. Further information about Li Xinwu, who is from Tan Village, Xintun Township, Zaoqiang County, Hebei Province, is unavailable.

6. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Two Practitioners Arrested for Clarifying the Truth of Falun Gong

Around 9:00 p.m. on February 24, 2006, over a dozen policemen in two police minivans surrounded two women practitioners who were walking along Yong'an Street. They arrested the two and took them to the Xiguan Police Station where they interrogated the practitioners individually. Because the practitioners did not cooperate with the illegal interrogation, the officers locked them to a metal bar overnight.

The next day, the police attempted to force the practitioners to sign a statement. The practitioners refused. Afterwards, four or five policemen forcibly put the practitioners into the Chengnan Detention Center and body-searched them. The detention center refused to accept one of the practitioners because of her poor health, but the other practitioner is currently in detention.

8. [Tonghe County, Heilongjiang Province] Three Practitioners Sentenced from Four to Six Years of Imprisonment

On January 16, 2006, the Fangzheng County People's Court dispatched an employee to the Tonghe County Detention Center and announced the secret sentencing of practitioners Fu Hai, Li Min and Liu Ying. The practitioners were sentenced to six, five and four years of imprisonment. Upon receiving the verdict, Fu Hai, Li Min and Liu Ying appealed to the Harbin City Intermediate Procurator Department to refute the verdict.

9. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Torture of Falun Dafa Practitioners is Still Serious in the Harbin City Women's Prison

The situation of practitioners being tortured in the Harbin City Women's Prison is still very serious. Prior to the Chinese New Year, the practitioners held in the No. 8 Ward were handcuffed with their arms behind their back and beaten badly. In the No. 9 Ward, criminals severely tortured the practitioners.

10. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Personnel from the Babaishang Police Department Arrest Two Practitioners

At around 3:00 p.m. on February 26, 2006, personnel from the Babaishang Police Department arrested practitioner Zhou Guilan from Babaishang at home. They also arrested another practitioner who happened to be visiting Zhou Guilan. This practitioner was held at the Babaishang Police Department that night and tied to a metal chair. The practitioner refused to give his/her name. Zhou Guilan's personal property was confiscated.

11. [Tianjin] Practitioner Li Ping Segregated and Stringently Monitored in the Banqiao Women's Forced Labor Camp

Practitioner Ms. Li Ping from Xingang, the Tanggu District shouted, "Falun Dafa is great," in the Banqiao Women's Forced Labor Camp. The guards tortured her severely and have now segregated her and put her into solitary confinement.

The "evidence" that the police from Tanggu District presented against Ms. Li were several items they confiscated from Li Ping's home: 24 copies of CDs (which contain promotional material for commercial products), six empty MP3s and a computer belonging to Li Ping's elder brother which does not contain any Falun Gong related content. These items do not justify any persecution. Further, the officers didn't go through any proper legal procedure after arresting Li Ping. The stamp on her verdict was December 31, 2005. However, her family was not notified of her arrest until January 16, 2006. Li Ping has asked to appeal.

12. [Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province] Practitioners Wang Yanxin and Zhang Huiru Arrested

Police arrested 61-year-old practitioner Ms. Zhang Huiru and practitioner Wang Yanxin, an employee of the Jiamusi City General Merchandise Building.

Ms. Wang Yanxin, 43 years old, has worked at the General Merchandise Building since 1987. After she started to practice Falun Dafa, she lived up to the standards of "Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance." She always gives instead of takes and treated customers with sincerity, compassion and tolerance. Ms. Wang always put customers first and put her company and colleagues before herself. As a result, she was awarded a meritorious citation as "outstanding individual in the city and in the province, a role model worker and a top ten salesperson." Sanjiang Evening Post did a report on her good deeds. Everyone who works for the General Merchandise Building, from general manager to staff, praises her. A lot of customers she served came back to visit her.

At 1:00 p.m. on February 20, 2006, personnel from the 610 Office, from the Jiamusi City Police Department and the Xiangyang Police Department collaborated with Security Section officials from the Merchandise Building and arrested Wang Yanxin at work. They then ransacked her home. Wang Yanxin's current whereabouts are unknown. Her supervisor went to the police department but was refused to visit her. Right now we know that her computer was confiscated.

Practitioner Zhang Huiru is a retired employee of the Jiamusi City No. 1 Merchandise Company. At noon on February 21, the day after Wang Yanxin's arrest, personnel from the Jiamusi City Police Department and from the Xiangyang Police Department arrested her at home.

13. [Changsha City, Hunan Province] A Bulletin Board Displays Falun Dafa-Slandering Propaganda in Xianjiaxin Village, Yuelu District

14. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] "Same Song" Show Will Be On in Guangzhou

According to today's Guangzhou Daily, the "Same Song" show will be on at the Tianhe Stadium in Guangzhou City the evening of March 4. Many popular stars were invited to take part.

Meanwhile, "Revealing and Criticizing" posts appeared again in the eastern Tianhe Community in the Tianhe District, Guangzhou City. People can find surveillance monitors around the area.

15. [Zunhua City, Hebei Province] Practitioner Yan Fuxiang Arrested

During the morning of February 24, 2006, with the excuse of "taking a look," government officers Liu Yongquan, Wang Quan and another named Wang from Xiliucun Township, Zunhua City ransacked the homes of practitioners in Puchihe. They tore down the "Good Fortune" signs on the door of Chen Shuzhen's home and Wang's home because there were the words, "Falun Dafa is Great" and "Truth-Compassion-Forbearance" on the signs. They wiped out the chalk couplet and confiscated Master Li's picture and other Dafa-related materials.

After 4:00 p.m. that day, Liu Yongquan and a gang from the local police station and township government came to a construction site. They found Yan Fuxiang and Wang. The head of the police station, said, "You have to go with us to the police station. We want to talk with you and then we'll send you right back." Yan Fuxiang said, "I won't go. If you want to talk, we can talk right here." Then they grabbed Yan Fuxiang's winter jacket tightly in order to arrest him. More than ten co-workers at the site tried to keep Yan Fuxiang there, and so did his three sons. But the perpetrators called the "110" police [110 is the number to call in an emergency, similar to 911 in the United States] and then took Yan Fuxiang away.

16. [Leshan City, Sichuan Province] Three Practitioners Including Wei Lang Sentenced from Seven to Ten Years of Forced Labor

On January 26, 2006, practitioners Wei Lang, Lu Dongrong and Li Ronglai from Leshan City in Sichuan Province were sent to the Wumaping Prison in Muchuan County, Leshan City.

It has been heard that the local police arrested the three practitioners in late June of 2005 and sentenced them to long prison terms. The sentencing took place at the Shizhong District Court in Leshan City in December 2005. The charge: broadcasting a Falun Gong program by tapping into the cable TV system. Li Ronglai, Wei Lang and Lu Dongrong were sentenced to ten, eight, and seven years of forced labor, respectively.

17. [Zhumadian City, Henan Province] Practitioner Lu Guiqing and Three Others Arrested and Held

In May 2005, personnel from the Queshan County Police Department in Zhumadian City arrested four practitioners including Lu Guiqing, because the practitioners were distributing truth-clarifying materials. The practitioners have been held in the city or county detention center for over ten months so far.

18. [Heshan City Guangdong Province] Practitioner Yu Ruilian and Her Husband Arrested for Distributing Truth-Clarifying Materials

Practitioner Ms. Yu Ruilian from Hecheng Town, Heshan City, Guangdong Province went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong after July 20, 1999, and then was held at the City Detention Center. She was not released until abuse under the persecution made her virtually blind. Her whole family opted to live in exile since her release, in order to avoid persecution.

In order to take care of her, Yu Ruilian's husband Zhang Yuling (a non-practitioner) has accompanied her. During the afternoon of February 5, 2006 they were arrested and had their temporary home ransacked. It happened when she and her husband went to Fuzhou City to distribute truth-clarifying materials. The police didn't find any Falun Gong materials [at their temporary home].

Recently, personnel from the Heshan City 610 Office took the couple back to their hometown for detention. Further details are unknown.

19. [Tianjin] Four Practitioners from Wuqing District Arrested

At around 8:00 p.m. on February 26, 2006, personnel from the National Security Team arrested four practitioners including Zhao Xiang and Liu Lixin from their homes in the Wuqing District. The police kept practitioners Mr. Yang Yusuo and his brother Yang Yuyong under surveillance for over 20 hours and then arrested them.

20. [Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province] Xunyang Evening News Published Phony Report to Slander Practitioners

On February 27, 2006, the Xunyang Evening News in Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province published an article entitled, "Wife Indulged in Falun Gong, Husband Filed for Divorce" on page eight. The article slandered Falun Gong, saying that the persecuted practice makes people want to divorce. It deliberately misled those who don't know the truth.

21. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Two Women Practitioners Arrested

During the evening of February 26, 2006, two women practitioners from the Chengfeng area in Daqing City were arrested.

22. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Yu Yajuan Held in the Baoding City Forced Labor Camp; Police Authorities Refuse Her Parents' Visit

Practitioner Ms. Yu Yajuan from Laishui County, Hebei Province has been persecuted ever since she was arrested in September 2005. In October, she was sent to the Baoding City Forced Labor Camp. The camp authorities designated the 15^th of each month as family visiting day, but then refused all visits from Yu Yajuan's parents. The authorities usually persecute practitioners by refusing visits from their family members.

23. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Posters and Banners Slandering Dafa Appear Around the Entrance to the Jinmen Road Police Station in a Southern District

Several posters that slander Dafa were put up in the "Propaganda Stand" outside of the Jinmen Road Police Station in the South District. In addition, the authorities recently put up a banner slandering Falun Dafa on top of the "Propaganda Stand."

24. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Nanling District Police Team Arrest Two Practitioners

At noon on February 28, 2006, policemen from the Nanling District arrested the practitioner couple Hong Jing and Guo Yuchun in Changchun City. The reason is unknown.

25. [Anshan City, Liaoning Province] Practitioner Li Fa'an Arrested

Practitioner Li Fa'an lives at Xiashiqiao Village, Dagushan Town, Qianshan District, Anshan City, Liaoning Province. Since 2002, this practitioner has lived away from home in order to avoid illegal arrest. At about 10:00 a.m. on February 26, 2006, officer Huang Xianqing and another security guard arrested the practitioner and took him/her to the Dagushan Town Police Station. Later, policeman Wang Zuogang and another officer signed a document to transfer Li Fa'an to Anshan City's No. 1 Detention Center.

26. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Practitioners Yu Fengling and Dong Quanhao Arrested When Distributing Truth-clarifying Materials

Practitioners Ms. Yu Fengling and Dong Quanhao are from Gaoxiandian Village, the Fengnan District, Tangshan City, Hebei Province. They were arrested during the night of February 20, 2006. The arrest occurred as they went to Wanglanzhuang Town in Fengnan District to distribute truth-clarifying materials. Personnel from the Wanglanzhuang Town Police Station arrested them and sent them to the Fengnan District Detention Center.

27. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Practitioner Yu Huazhi Arrested

On February 20, 2006, practitioner Ms. Yu Huazhi was found with truth-clarifying materials while going through a security check in the Harbin City Railway Station. She was thus arrested.

28. [Jilin Province] Two Practitioners Arrested in Nong'an County

Recently, government agencies and Party Committees in the Yantai area villages, townships, counties and cities received a booklet entitled, "2006 Anti-[slanderous term omitted] Warning and Education Propaganda Outline" and a special magazine entitled, "Promoting Science and Opposing the [slanderous term omitted]." The magazine includes a slanderous and vicious cartoon. Other cartoons and articles that slanderously attack Dafa are also included in the magazines.

30. [Xianning, Hubei Province] Three Dafa Practitioners Were Arrested And Detained

On September 5, 2005, Dafa practitioners Wang Lidi employed at the Xianning Academy and practitioner Yu Jinguang from Longtan Township, Xianning had their homes ransacked and were sent to a Hubei Province brainwashing class.

On September 7, 2005, Pi Jian, Ming Yang and other perpetrators from the Yihaoqiao Police Department body-searched practitioner Xu Changhong, a pharmacist who works at the Xianning Central Hospital. They took his keys and ransacked his home. Then they sent him to a brainwashing class held at the local Petroleum and Chemical Rehabilitation Center. On October 4, agents from the 610 Office transferred Xu Changhong to the Xianning Detention Center.

On November 4, 2005, agents from the 610 Office conspired with the Xian'an District Procuratorate and arrested three practitioners. In their effort to rescue Xu Changhong, his mother and relatives went to relevant government agencies and told them that Xu Changhong is ill, and they demanded his unconditional release.

31. [Maoming, Guangdong Province] Possible Arrest of Dafa Practitioner Ah Bao

At noon on February 22, 2006, Dafa practitioner Ah Bao left home on an errand and has not returned since. He has probably been arrested.

32. [Hebei Province] Exposing the Persecution of Dafa Practitioners at Gaoyang Labor Camp

The following are facts about the persecution of Dafa practitioners at Gaoyang Forced Labor Camp:

1. The Dafa practitioners illegally detained there are restricted from using paper and pen except for writing letters.
2. Most practitioners have been shocked with electric batons; all practitioners who refused to give up their belief were injured or fell ill from persecution.
3. Practitioners are deprived of their right to communicate with their families. The practitioners' families are forced to answer a test made of Dafa-slandering questions if they want to visit, and are denied visitation rights if they refuse to answer it. The captors set up unconstitutional meeting procedures.
4. The practitioners are forced to work for more than ten hours daily.
5. The practitioners are deprived of their right to have the two-day weekend off work.

Similar to other labor camps in Hebei Province, this labor camp often purchases detainees from the Beijing Labor Reeducation Dispatch Division and other government agencies and forces the detainees to do heavy and long-term labor, because it has deals with the local carpet shops.

33. [Yunnan Province] Dafa Practitioners Savagely Tortured at the No. 2 Labor Camp

For several consecutive days in January 2006, Li Hongxing, the substitute political head at Group 1 of the No. 2 Labor Camp in Yunnan Province, ordered two inmates to drag Dafa practitioner Guo Hongyun out of bed. The practitioner was not wearing shoes or socks but only underwear. Thus attired, the evildoers forced him to work in the field. It was freezing and Guo Hongyun's leg pain, which he first experienced three months after arriving at the camp, worsened. The labor camp authorities never inquired about his condition or sent him for a medical exam. His family appealed many times but to no avail.

The labor camp authorities also deprived determined Dafa practitioners of sleep in an attempt to force them to give up their belief. These practitioners are forced to work during the day and spend their nights monitored by inmates, returning to work after dawn.

In the coldest of winter 2000, the labor camp authorities forced detainees to dig up fertilizer from waterlogged compost and spread it over the crop field. The inmates said that even people who take care of domestic animals would not subject their animals to something like this.

34. [Hebei Province] Officials from the Shijiazhuang Railroad System Again Harass Dafa Practitioners

The government feared Dafa practitioners going to Beijing to appeal prior to the two Party meetings. The Shijiazhuang Railroad Police Division conducted a so-called "talk to find out the real situation" of all the Dafa practitioners within its precinct. They asked the practitioners whether they were still practicing Falun Gong, whether they have a computer or printer at home, whether they access the Internet, and their contacts. They demanded of the practitioners to promise not to appeal during the two Party meetings, and they required the practitioners to apply for a leave of absence from the Party secretary of their workshop [if they wanted to travel].

35. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Police Officers Follow Blacklist to Unconstitutionally Arrest Dafa Practitioners

It has been learned that officer Da Yangzi from the Datun Town Police Department in Changchun City arrested Dafa practitioners according to a blacklist. He went to people's homes and asked for their names. If the people were not the ones on the list, he would not arrest them but instead write down their names. He claimed, "We can't overlook [Dafa practitioner] Yang Yuhuan because we have orders from above."

In the middle December 2005, a banner, about 20 feet long, with Dafa-slandering words, was hung in the upper front corner of in the window of Shengchang Neighborhood District Party Committee office. It has been removed with Dafa practitioners' with righteous thoughts.

37. [Hunan Province] Six Professors at Hunan Normal University Participated in the Publication of a Dafa-slandering Book (Belated News)

In August 2000, six professors from Hunan Normal University participated in the publication of a book edited by Li Yiheng, the university's Political and Judiciary Committee secretary. The book is entitled, "Exposing and Criticizing [...] Reference Teaching Material." The book is quite vicious and is aiding in the most wicked persecution of Dafa and Dafa practitioners.
