(Clearwisdom.net) Editors' Note: In both Western and Chinese culture, the principle of karmic retribution, that is, being held ultimately accountable for one's own actions, is widely accepted. The fundamental teaching of Falun Gong is the characteristic of the universe, "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance." The universe will reward actions that are in harmony with this principle, while actions such as beating, torturing and murdering people will incur karmic retribution. Stated another way, good deeds will be rewarded with good, while evildoings will meet due retribution. Articles such as this one are meant as a compassionate reminder of this principle to those who would commit wrongdoing. While many of those who persecute Falun Gong are merely "following orders," the universal law requires that they, too, be held responsible for their actions, and that only by reversing their course of wrongdoing may they escape retribution.

Cui Guilin, male, in his 40's, was the chief of the Henanzhai Township Police Station of Miyun County in Beijing. Cui arrested all the Falun Gong practitioners he could find in Henanzhai Township and detained them in the police station. He also hired people specifically to carry out around-the-clock persecution against the detained practitioners, subjecting them to all kinds of inhuman torture using many torture devices. In early 2000, Cui suddenly felt discomfort and was diagnosed as having late-stage liver cancer. The cancer spread rapidly and he died in early May of 2000.

An Informer Who Reported Falun Gong Practitioners to the Authorities Was Arrested for Illegal Activities
After Falun Gong was banned in China, the Zhuo County Public Security Bureau of Hebei Province and Chen Guixing, head of the local 610 Office, ordered the populace to monitor Falun Gong practitioners. They rewarded everyone who reported their activities with a bonus of over 1,000 yuan. Cui Jianmin from Xiaochen Township would commit any kind of bad deed and was thus known as "the hooligan." Gu Qingying from Xiaochen Township hired him to monitor practitioners. Whenever Cui Jianmin saw a practitioner distributing truth clarifying flyers or visiting a relative or friend, he would always report it to Gu Qingying. Someone warned him not to do such things, but he simply replied, "Why should I fear retribution? I'll be fine as long as I have money. I do not care about retribution." In May of this year, Cui Jianmin and several other people from Qingyuan County stole some cars and then sold them. The county police subsequently arrested him.
