1. [Huangshi City, Hubei Province] Xisaishan District Police Arrest Falun Dafa Practitioners
At 10:00 p.m. on July 7, 2004, officers from the Xisaishan District Branch Police Department in Huangshi City, Hubei Province, arrested Falun Dafa practitioners Ms. Zhang Xixiu, 41, and Ms. Yang Zhixing, 63. On July 25, the officers arrested Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Huang Yuxian, 43. The three practitioners have been inhumanely tortured.
On July 23, Ms. Yang walked away from the detention center with righteous thoughts in mind. On July 28, Ms. Huang managed to walk away from the Linjiang Street Police Station with righteous thoughts in mind. The police escalated their persecution against Ms. Zhang, who was sentenced to two years of forced labor and sent to a labor camp.

On the afternoon of June 11, the local "610 Office" arrested Qingdao Falun Dafa practitioners Ms. Tian Xiulan and her husband Liu in their rented home.
3. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Account of the Arrest of Falun Dafa Practitioner Ms. Tian Guiting in Longfeng District
Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Tian Guiting, 59, lives in the Longfeng District of Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province. On the afternoon of June 25, 2004, she went to Dongfeng residential complex to distribute Falun Gong truth-clarifying materials. Xu Yanwu, manager of the Xiaoye Store of Roasted Foods in the residential complex, spotted her and followed her. After he saw Ms. Tian board the No. 355 bus, Xu drove his car after the bus and called the police. Hu Xuezhong, Head of the Dong'an Police Station, a subsidiary of the Sa'ertu District Branch Police Department, led officers to stop the bus and arrest Ms. Tian.

4. [Zhoukou City, Henan Province] Situations of Eighteen Falun Dafa Practitioners under Arrest
On February 20, 2004, the police sabotaged production sites for Falun Gong truth-clarifying materials and web access sites in the Zhoukou area of Henan Province. Eighteen Falun Dafa practitioners were arrested. On July 8 and 9, the Chuanhui District Court unlawfully tried sixteen of the eighteen practitioners. At present they are being held in various detention centers for persecution.

5. [Shanghai] Falun Dafa Practitioner Ms. Zhang Sumei's Home Ransacked
On July 27, Shanghai Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Zhang Sumei's home was ransacked by members of the Baoshan "610 Office." Officials confiscated Falun Dafa lecture documents and Falun Gong exercise cassette tapes. The officials also threatened to return.
6. [Suining City, Sichuan Province] Falun Dafa Practitioner Mo Chengxun Arrested Again
Mo Chengxun is a Falun Dafa practitioner in Hengshan Town, Suining City, Sichuan Province. Six months ago Mo left town to avoid persecution by the city's State Security Unit.
On August 17, 2004, Mo returned to town and was spotted by police in the Anju District as she was applying for an ID card for her retirement payment. On August 18, when Mo went to the Hengshan Post Office to claim her retirement income, plainclothes officers who had followed Mo conspired with the postal employees to hold up the transaction. Officers from the Hengshan Police Station arrived quickly and arrested Mo, who was taken to the Lingquansi Detention Center.
7. [Suining City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Lu Yanfei Demands a Review of Her Divorce Case
Ms. Lu Yanfei, 50 and professionally educated, is a Falun Dafa practitioner in Suining City, Sichuan Province. She was formerly chairwoman of Chuanshan Township in Suining City, the people's representative in the township, and a member of the standing committee of the township's People's Congress. Ms. Lu was unlawfully dismissed from her job for practicing Falun Dafa, deprived of all her rights, and unlawfully held in a labor camp for over four years. While she was confined in the labor camp, her husband Zhou Xingguang, considering her a liability that might endanger his position, forced her to sign a divorce agreement despite their decades of marriage. Suffering under inhumane torture with no possibility of assistance, she signed the agreement. Her husband then used his influence in the township to skip the legal procedures and finalize the divorce, taking possession of all the couple's assets, half of which belonged to Ms. Lu.
Ms. Lu was not released until February 2004. She no longer has a place to stay. She has filed a lawsuit to reopen her divorce case. The Zhongqu Court in Suining City has accepted her suit and the court will review her case on September 14, 2004.

On the evening of July 16, 2004, Luquan City Falun Dafa practitioners Ms. Feng Xiumei, Ms. Zheng Xiuju, and Ms. Gu Xiuxia were arrested for distributing Falun Gong truth-clarifying materials and posting signs.

9. [Fusong County, Jilin Province] Hebei Falun Dafa Practitioner Mr. Guo Shuhui Sentenced to Three Years of Forced Labor in Fusong County, Jilin Province
Mr. Guo Shuhui is a Falun Dafa practitioner from Dongguang County, Hebei Province. He was arrested in Fusong County, Jilin Province, and has been sentenced to three years of forced labor. After being refused admission by the labor camp authorities, Mr. Guo was taken back to the Fusong County Detention Center.
Fusong County police have also frozen or confiscated all of Mr. Guo's accounts and assets. His relatives in the county have also been implicated and persecuted. His landlord was unlawfully held in custody for two weeks.

10. [Hanchuan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Li Xiangjiao and Ms. Huang Xingying from Miaotou Town Arrested
Ms. Li Xiangjiao is a Falun Dafa practitioner in Miaotou Town, Hanchuan City, Hubei Province. On August 16, she was spotted by security guards while distributing Falun Gong truth-clarifying materials at Baicangchu in Guanzhong, Hanchuan City. Officers from the Chengbei Police Station arrested her and sent her to Hanchuan's No. 2 Detention Center.
On August 18, Ms. Huang Xing, a Falun Dafa practitioner from Chengguan Town in Hanchuan City, went to visit relatives in Tian'erhe Town of the same city. Informants turned her in to the police while she was raising public awareness about the persecution of Falun Gong. Officers from the Tian'erhe Police Station arrested her. On August 19, she was taken to Hanchuan City's No. 2 Detention Center. Officers from the Chengxi Police Station in Chengguan Town ransacked her home and confiscated Falun Dafa books and audio and video materials.

In early August, Ms. Xu, a Falun Dafa practitioner from Chaha Farm in Qiqihar City, and another practitioner Ms. Xu went to Gannan County in Qiqihar City to distribute Falun Gong truth-clarifying materials. Police arrested them and held them in custody at the Gannan County Detention Center. Further details are not available.
12. [Nanyang City, Henan Province] Falun Dafa Practitioner Ms. Yang Xinying Arrested by Wolong District Police
Ms. Yang Xinyin, 41, is a Falun Dafa practitioner in Nanyang City, Henan Province. On the evening of August 12, 2004, she was arrested by Wolong District police while raising public awareness about Falun Gong in a downtown area. Conspiring with the Wolong District "610 Office," the police have held Ms. Yang at the Nanyang's No. 1 Detention Center (also known as the Shangzhuang Detention Center).
13. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Unknown Substance Injected into Falun Dafa Practitioner Ms. Liu Cuidong after Her Arrest
On June 7, Xu Weiqiang, Head of the Guangrong Police Station in Lushun, Dalian, Liaoning Province; Officers Zhang Jihua, Zhang Shangzai and Hua Hongwei of the neighborhood administration office; Ren Lina and Li of the Longhe Residential Community; and others abducted Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Liu Cuidong to the Dalian Brainwashing Unit. It has been verified that Ms. Liu was injected with an unknown substance and all four of her limbs are affected.
