The Facts of Persecution

Ms. Liu Xiufei is a practitioner from Chengxi of Heishan Town, Heishan County, Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province. She exposed the names of the authorities responsible for the persecution and torture she has suffered, on the Internet. Because of this, plain-clothed police from Heishan County Public Security Bureau secretly abducted her near her home around 8am on July 16, 2004.

On July 8, 2004, the police broke into the homes of practitioner's Ms. Chen Ping and Ms. Zhang Guiying' in the Shapingba area of Chongqing City. They were abducted to the Geleshan Brainwashing Center in Chongqing City and were both subjected to physical and mental torture.

Mr. Fu Mingjie is a practitioner from Wanghua District of Fushun City. On July 14, 2004, plain-clothed police abducted him while he was distributing truth-clarifying materials in a grocery market. The police ransacked his home and took away his wife Ms. Ren Changxue and their daughter. Their daughter was later released. Fu Mingjie had previously been sentenced to three-years of imprisonment and detained at Dabei Prison in Shenyang. It wasn't until the end of 2003 when he he was released. Ms. Ren Changxue has also been sent to a forced labor camp before.

At around 5:00pm on July 4, 2004, while I was waiting for a bus at the 101 Station in the Harbin City Vehicle Tires Mechanism Factory, three policemen violently dragged a man down from his bicycle and pushed him onto the ground. The man shouted, "I am a university student of the Research Institute of the Vehicle Tires Mechanism Factory. My name is Sun Yufeng. My working unit has not allowed me to work because I am a Falun Gong practitioner." The three policemen pressed the down man on the ground, and brutally beat him on his head. One policeman used his hand to forcefully seal the man's mouth, and fiercely beat him until his face was swollen.

Guo Xiaoguang, the director of the "610 Office" (1) of Aohan Qi, Chifeng City and Inner Mongolian, and Gong Chuanxing, the head of National Security Team are two people who have closely followed Jiang's policy of persecution against Falun Gong practitioners in these past years. From 2001 to 2003, they set up many brainwashing programs, and extorted a lot of money from practitioners by forcing them to pay for "food expenses" during their detention. During the recent months, Guo Xiaoguang has again setup brainwashing programs to persecute Falun Gong practitioners. On July 26th, he detained practitioners Wei Xingliang, Ms. Zhao Fenglan and Ms. Luo Yanchun in brainwashing sessions. On July 6th, practitioner Ji Guomin, who was unable to return home due to the persecution, was again abducted. Ji Guomin was in critical condition because his head was wounded from a traffic incident. Regardless of the situation, the perpetrators took him out of the hospital and detained him with the Supervision Team for further persecution. Ji Guomin is currently on a hunger strike to protest the persecution.

In Xiaolong Town, Nanchong City of Sichuan Province, banners with defamatory slogans against Falun Gong have appeared in this past year. Practitioners have removed the defamatory slogans with righteous thoughts and behaviors. The perpetrators did not give up and continued to paint defamatory slogans on the wall of the Martial Police Army across the street. On the early morning of July 11, the town suddenly heard a high volume loudspeaker broadcasting the truth about Dafa and the persecution. This action greatly shocked the perpetrators and helped more people to understand the facts of the persecution.

On July 8, 2004, the Zhoukou City Court at Chuanhui District (Henan Province) secretly performed the illegal court procedure to sentence twelve practitioners who were abducted on February 19, 2004. During the seven hours of the court proceeding, all the practitioners dealt with the illegal treatment with righteous actions, and clarified the truth to all the policemen in the court.
