Friends and relatives have predestined relationships with us, especially during this exceptional historic period. We are Dafa disciples and they are our relatives during the Fa-rectification period, which signifies a special predestined relationship. All of them are sentient beings we should save. It is possible that a few words of comfort, a greeting, a smile, or a chance meeting will awaken their knowing side causing them to accept the truth about Dafa in their hearts. Spreading the message from person to person, and heart to heart, they may similarly influence their own friends and relatives.
Recently I visited the home of relatives who I hadn't seen for over 20 years. They were so surprised and excited. They asked me immediately, "We heard that you and your husband practiced Falun Gong, that you lost your job and your husband is being held in the forced labor camp. Are you still practicing? What can you tell us about Falun Gong?" Another relative said, "As soon as we saw that you are in such good shape and took such a long trip to visit us, we understood that the TV propaganda is all lies." The third person said, "I have been sick for a long time, but I got well this morning. It seems to be related to your coming." I smiled and said, "One person practices and the whole family benefits. You are my relatives and of course benefit. I come for you, and come for my relatives far away." I explained the truth about Falun Gong to them while they listened intently. I spoke from my heart and they listened from their hearts. I felt that they experienced fundamental changes in their understanding. I realized that they understood the truth, and felt happy for them.
One of my relatives' friends also met me and smiled, "I had intended to persuade you to give up your belief. It is a shame that you lost such a great job! However, as soon as I saw you, my intention changed. Now, I also know the true situation and I will no longer oppose Falun Gong."
My brother's friend is a teacher, and also is the famous "debater" in their school. She asked me several questions and I answered calmly. Finally, as she was leaving she said, "I will come again tomorrow." The following day she indeed returned and brought her husband. She said that they had come to learn the truth. I explained how my family and I benefited from the practice and that Dafa and Dafa practitioners are being unjustly attacked and persecuted. We try to explain the truth about Falun Gong in order to save people and to ensure everybody's bright future. She listened attentively to what I had to say without saying a word. Finally, she told me, " I will tell my relatives not to think poorly about Falun Gong."
At some point, I kept dreaming about an old classmate whom I hadn't seen in over 20 years. I decided to go to the mountains where she lived. When I stepped into her home she seemed to already know that I was coming, and she met me outside giving me a hug and saying, "It's amazing that you just came. I missed you so much." She was in tears and I explained why I had come and introduced my situation. I told her some background about the fabricated news on TV; I told her about the true meaning of "Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance". I also told her that our Master was bringing them a wonderful future through me! She listened with rapt attention. She said, "How wonderful! If you had only come back earlier, I would practice with you. We heard all the stuff on TV. If you hadn't told us, I wouldn't know the truth. The Party has been lying through their teeth to us regular people." The following day she took me to visit our old classmates. After I finished explaining the truth to two families, she was able to talk about it as well. No matter to which home we went, she began to speak quite eloquently. I could hardly believe that she remembered every word I had told her.
Through explaining the truth to my parents, brothers, and sisters, as well as my relatives and friends, I found that I could soften their hearts. Whenever I have no selfish motives and have the sole desire to save sentient beings, the wisdom Teacher has given all of us will come forth naturally. Certainly, there will always be some people who don't accept the truth and even oppose it, but they are just a few.
Several times I dreamed that I was holding the master key to open all doors. Several times I dreamed that I was explaining the truth very well, not using too many words but speaking clearly and eloquently. In fact, don't all true Dafa practitioners hold the master key?
