(Clearwisdom.net) Since August 2002, the head of Wanjia Labor Camp, Lu Zhenshan, has been escalating the persecution of Dafa practitioners using more violence. The torture methods include forcing practitioners to squat for 18 hours a day, holding them in small cells, forcing them to sit on metal benches for long periods of time, shocking them with electric batons, pouring cold water on practitioners, hanging them up, kicking and beating them, and ordering inmates to kick practitioners who were forced to squat. Recently, Lu came up with an even more vicious method to torture practitioners. Four bunks were placed in four directions of the room. The victim's four limbs were cuffed to the upper beds of the four bunks. He was suspended about one meter above the ground. Then Lu ordered inmates to kick the four bunks so they moved in four directions. As a result, the four limbs of the victim would be pulled in four different directions, causing excruciating pain. One male practitioner was put through such torture, but he still refused to renounce Falun Gong. He yelled, "I won't do it no matter what! I won't write any statements to denounce Dafa!" At present, this practitioner has been suspended like this for 7 days. His current state is unknown.
Lu Zhenshan has been very hostile towards Dafa. Some policemen who still respected their conscience could not stand to witness his brutality. Lu would verbally abuse whoever showed sympathy to Dafa practitioners and later transferred such policemen to different units.
