CBC Radio reported on January 2nd, 2002, that Canadian police are investigating the Chinese embassy whose staff beat up Falun Dafa practitioner Leon Wang. The Chinese embassy exhibited materials that slandered Falun Gong at their New Year's movie party. Because Leon Wang took pictures, he was dragged into a room and beaten up. They also took his camera.

News from China

Today 169 people declared solemnly that what they have said and done under the influence of the evil's deceptions, threats, and brainwashing are all null and void. They will try their best to cultivate diligently, redouble their efforts in order to make amends, follow up on the process of Fa-rectification, do what they have promised, and follow Teacher home.

While I was posting truth-clarifying materials in Qianguan Village, two security guards wanted to search my bike's basket. I said sternly, "You are not allowed to do this!" They answered quickly, "Sister, if you do not let us, we will not search your basket." Totally denying the old forces' arrangements is also being responsible to sentient beings. If we let people commit crimes towards Dafa, they would not be able to pay for their sins.

Assimilate to Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance. Follow Teacher back [to our true original homes] when we reach Consummation. We must completely negate the arrangements made by the evil force. However, when a problem arises, we should still look inside ourselves. If we judge the problems in front of us with a human mentality, then we are no more than ordinary people. The Fa-rectification is in its last phase and everything around us exists for the sake of Fa-rectification cultivation. The evil relies on (our) omissions to live, and if we remove the omissions, the evil demons will be exposed under the broad daylight and therefore be completely eliminated.

On the evening of December 15^th, 2001, several practitioners in Beijing sent forth righteous thoughts as they passed through Tiananmen Tower and went straight to the Forbidden City in Tiananmen Square. The policemen's voices could be heard through the speaker, "(The Falun Gong people) are coming, they are coming..." But all of these practitioners were calm and confident and did not care about the evil at all. They loudly shouted heartfelt phrases such as "Falun Dafa is good," and they returned safely with Teacher's protection.

When an overseas Falun Dafa practitioner learned that the National Bureau of Broadcasting, Movie, and TV in China was coordinating its efforts with its provincial counterparts in Henan province to produce a TV program slandering Falun Dafa, he made 16 calls to the local media, the provincial media, and the national media to clarify the truth. Most of the people answering his phone calls listened attentively, especially when he was telling them about the spreading of Falun Dafa outside China.

Stories of Cultivation

Falun Dafa brings harmony to my family. When I was 10 my father was addicted to playing Mahjong [a Chinese gambling game.] Hence my parents quarreled daily. Later my mother started chanting Buddhist scriptures. The quarreling only increased. Ever since Falun Dafa came to my family, my mother learned how to be a better person and to endure the hardship while retaining a compassionate nature. Deeply touched by the great benevolent power of Falun Dafa, my father went on the path of cultivation as well.

The police kidnapped me when I went back to my hometown to clarify the truth of Falun Dafa in February of 2001. They searched my home. Even though I was harassed by the police with insults and abuse, I calmly told them the truth of Falun Dafa. I was sentenced to a forced labor camp. Later I developed symptoms of serious health problem and I was released.

Follow Teacher's Fa-rectification process closely, and play a role of a (Dafa) particle to the fullest extent. "Clarify the truth thoroughly, eliminate the evil with righteous thoughts, save all beings" (from Dafa is Indestructible). Dafa work is sacred and great, and it is not trivial. Always hold determined righteous thoughts, and go to Beijing to safeguard the Fa. Take initiatives to actively create an environment for group Fa-study, so as to improve and uplift as one body. With righteous words and actions, Dafa disciples are creating a cultivation environment.

Getting Out of Detention After a Mass Arrest Using Righteous Thoughts

On the evening of December 28, when some Falun Gong practitioners were sharing experiences at home, police suddenly came to arrest them, knocking loudly on the door. With everyone's mind getting more and more stable, and their righteous thoughts becoming stronger and stronger, the knocking went away, and the police eventually left. On that same evening, five practitioners were arrested in a different area. As of now, two of them have removed handcuffs and chains with righteous thoughts, and have stepped out of the police substation in an open and dignified manner.
