Honourable Mr Hill,

My name is XXX [name withheld], I am 20 years old and I am currently studying Software Engineering at the University of NSW. I was present outside the Bankstown Council Chamber this morning, waiting for the opportunity to express to the Mayor of Shijiazhuang in China, my deepest concern for the cruel persecution of Falun Dafa and its practitioners in the city of Shijiazhuang.

After about 3 hours of waiting, at around 2pm, some of the Shijiazhuang diplomats started to leave the Bankstown Council Chamber. When I saw the first Chinese councillor who stepped out of the Chamber, I approached him peacefully and handed to him "The Peaceful Journey" ("The Peaceful Journey" is a real story book on the persecution of Falun Dafa in China which was edited and printed by volunteers in Australia.) The Shijiazhuang Councillor walked speedily and would not listen to my explanation as to why I am here today. When the Shijiazhuang councillor finally reached the car that he was about to get into, he suddenly turned around facing me and broke his silence, he shouted at me:" you stupid girl don't know anything, have you seen anything yourself? (Implying if I had saw the cruel torture of Falun Dafa practitioners with my own eyes)." Before I had the chance to answer his cross challenge, the Chinese Councillor gave an extremely heavy slap on The Peaceful Journeys that I was holding. All the books and materials that were in my hand immediately fell on the ground and left me in a state of shock and dismay.

I burst into tears when other Falun Dafa practitioners approached me to ask how I was, and if my arms were hurt. I cannot bear to reflect on the sufferings that other Falun Dafa practitioners in China must be experiencing. If the Shijiazhuang diplomat is capable of treating a person such as myself, so rudely publicly in Australia, the Chinese authorities' conduct of torture upon practitioners in China must be unimaginably inhumane. Liang Yenning, a Shijiazhuang resident and the mother of a 2 year-old boy was sentenced for 4 years because she refused to give up Falun Dafa practice. Gu Linna, who is also a Shijiazhuang resident and a television program anchor in Shijiazhuang, was also sentenced. In Yuanshi County of Shijiazhuang, iron sticks were pressed over practitioner's bodies and policemen stepped on the sticks to further the torture. In Jingjing County of Shijiazhuang, all the policemen forced female practitioners to take off their trousers and electrically shocked them. In particular, a lady named Wu Xiaoping was electrically shocked on her mouth and vagina for a whole night. Also in Shijiazhuang, 39-year-old Wang Weihua was put into a mental hospital and medicines were injected to damage her mind and body...

May I sincerely wish for the success of the Bankstown Council, the stability of Bankstown community and the happiness of Bankstown residence. However, it would be painful and meaningless if convenience is obtained from the sacrifice of basic human rights. May the local government help us to call for support from other international communities in regards to cruel offence of human rights and the persecution of Falun Dafa. From a just and righteous point of view, may the local government help to condemn and put the cruel treatment of Falun Dafa to an end. May we work together to preserve justice, goodness and peacefulness of human nature.
