[Beijing] Beijing government employed joint security personnel to prevent the circulation of materials telling the truth about Falun Gong

According to Falun Dafa practitioners, the Beijing government has employed joint security personnel and plainclothes policemen on pedestrian bridges and road entrances to look for practitioners who are distributing materials telling the truth about Falun Gong. Some practitioners saw plainclothes personnel sitting in chairs on pedestrian bridges watching the streets. They wear "Security Personnel" tags on their chests. They even have their relatives bring lunch to them. It seems that some government officials were very annoyed by the recent widespread distribution of materials telling the truth about Falun Gong. They were trying to stop it by using the most inefficient method, like the Chinese saying "waiting under a tree for a rabbit to bump into it". Hope the practitioners distributing materials be more alert and use their wisdom.

Many practitioners in Beijing are making and spreading hundreds of thousands, even millions of materials telling the truth about Falun Gong.

In the face of the insane, extremely wicked and shameful actions of the evil beings and the severe tests, practitioners should do as what Teacher has told us, "Validate the Fa (law and principles) with reason, clarify the truth with wisdom, spread the Fa and offer people salvation with benevolence -- this is establishing the mighty virtue of an enlightened being."

[Mainland China] My experience distributing Dafa flyers

At present, clarifying the truth of Falun Gong to people around the world is the most important task in "assisting the teacher in the human world." How to clarify the truth? Which one is better, posting or handing out flyers? I was wondering about this for several days.

It happened to be Sunday. I thought that I had better distribute some flyers at the town government building. I folded the flyers into squares, put them in my pockets and started off by bicycle. I entered the government building. First I placed flyers at every door on the first floor. From the judicial department to the citizen policy department, from the women's association to the army department and construction department, I placed one flyer on every doorknob. Afterwards I proceeded to the second floor. The office of the police chief was on my left. Looking through the window on the door, I saw the chief of police having a chat with someone. I placed one flyer on the doorknob. When I went downstairs, a policeman followed me. I knew he was the cruelest policeman in the police station. He made a left turn and I made a right turn without thinking. After exiting the south building, I entered the north building. On the second floor, I placed one flyer at each of the town heads' offices and party organization department. After finishing all of these, I felt relaxed and rode my bicycle home.

The next day, I heard from someone working in the building that the chief of police was extremely angry. He wanted to find out who distributed these flyers, but failed to discover this after spending a lot of effort. Since then, more practitioners have stepped forward in all kinds of forms to tell the truth to the public. People are gradually getting to know more about the truth of Falun Gong.

[Mainland China] A Falun Dafa practitioner in one city printed a thousand copies of each of our Teachers four newly published books at his own expense and distributed them to practitioners in the counties and areas of the city. In generally, several practitioners can share one book.

[Mainland China] Secret agents are watching Falun Gong practitioners in the government departments and work units

He Lizhi, a senior engineer at the Registration Center of China Ministry of Construction, is always a righteous, kind and ready to help others. Before practicing Falun Dafa, he was weak and his health condition was poor. After he started practicing Falun Gong, he had great improvement in health in both body and mind. He has not spent a penny on medicine during the last five years. Since the Government labeled Falun Dafa as an "evil cult" in July 1999, there has been no way to appeal to the government. For the benefits of the country and society, and as practitioner who has benefited from Dafa, he mailed some introduction materials of Falun Dafa and facts of the extremely brutal persecutions towards Dafa practitioners to his acquaintances in hope of arousing these kind people's conscience. Unexpectedly, he was tracked by the secret agents and the police. On July 21, 2000, he was arrested at his work unit by the Beijing secret agents. In addition, his home, all his personal letters and working stuff were illegally searched. His Dafa books, audiotapes, and videotapes were all confiscated. Until now, he is still detained at the Haidian detention center.

Practitioners were often monitored, tracked, detained, or jailed. Their houses were frequently searched. Nowadays, even the freedom of communication by mail was revoked. There were even some persons, who claimed to be friends of practitioners in trouble and said they want to provide help, however, they dare not leave their name and address. According to another person, there are secret agents from the Security Department watching Falun Gong practitioners in most government departments and work units.

[Chongqing City] Some notes of the brutal persecution at Maoxiangou Detention Center of Chongqing, Shichuan Province

1. Early last November, some fellow practitioners and I were arrested for practicing exercises in Tiananmen Square. We (about 50 people) were escorted back to Chongqing afterwards. Some practitioners and I were detained at Maoxiangou Detention Center in Chongqing.

During the period of detention, because we insisted on doing the exercises, Mr. Chen, the director of the Jiulong police office, and several other policemen cursed us at the beginning, and then they beat our heads and shoulders with handcuffs. After seeing that they could not stop us from practicing in this way, they used another specially made handcuff to clip our little fingers in order to stop us from doing the exercises. A policeman handcuffed a female practitioner named Zhang Guorong. The policeman tightened the handcuffs more and more by turning the key until it cut deeply into her flesh. However, she suffered this without ever saying a word. The policeman grinned hideously as he yelled: "Why arent you screaming and crying? I definitely will make you scream and cry!" He also kicked her while turning the key. She still didn't say a word under the torture.

2. One male practitioner was handcuffed to a pillar with his arms twisted for doing the exercises. Several policemen beat his legs, waist and shoulders with rubber sticks. After they got tired, they sat down and played Mahjong (a Chinese game) for a while, and then went back and beat him again. Only after we went on a hunger strike did they restrain their brutal behavior a little.

[Hengyang City] A pregnant Dafa practitioner had a miscarriage at the detention center in Hengyang City

Jiang Zhongli, employee of Hengyang Blood Bank, was pregnant when detained with drug addicts and drug vendors at Hengyang Detention Center. Her husband was in the military. In February 2000, she had a miscarriage at the detention center and suffered from severe hemorrhage. She was taken away by her employer when she was hovering between life and death. Now she is fined 1,500 Yuan (about $180, $60 is the average monthly salary) and denied 3,000 Yuan (about $360) from her wages. She has no personal freedom.

Yu Aiping, a female resident at #27 Jixiang Road in Hengyang City, was fined 3,000 Yuan ($180) and detained for an extended period of time. In May 2000, a supervisor of the politics and law department along with four policemen, kidnapped and beat her at her home. They clipped her mouth with pliers, and left her bleeding badly. She was later transferred to another location.

Zhang Yawei, an engineer at the Sixth Research Institute of Nuclear Industry Department in Hengyang City, was detained at a detention center and was without freedom for an extended period of time.
