[Changchun, Jilin Province] Practitioners lift the bar for verifying Dafa

1. In content: They focused on the lies such as "luxury house", "Birthday", and "1400 cases", which were seriously rumored by the media. They downloaded articles and summarized some facts to spread to people. They also printed their answers about the commonly asked question "Why go to Tiananmen Square?" to give to people.

2. Increased the volume of flyers.

3. Expanded the distributing area: Practitioners went to nearby counties, cities, and countryside.

4. They broadcasted the materials: Practitioners set up high power speakers on a big tree's tip (at a height that normal people could not reach) close to Fenjin Labor Camp. When the Dafa music was on, all practitioners in the camp were so touched and more became determined while some of the evil supervisors became terrified.

[Changchun, Jilin Province] "Strive forward all together"

Changchun practitioners selected articles of practitioners' experiences from Minghui Net and printed them in a booklet to distribute to practitioners. In order to let practitioners catch up with the process of the Fa rectification, they will also print newspapers once in a while to let practitioners know what they should know in time. "Strive forward all together" and lay the firm foundation for "proceeding well on the last step".

[Beijing] Practitioner, Wu Dan, was sentenced for 4 years.

Recently, Chaoyang District People's Court sentenced a Dafa practitioner, Wu Dan, for 4 years. Though Wu denied all crimes charged against him, the court still uses those as "evidence" to declare him guilty.

[Beijing] The faculty member of Tsinghua University, Yu Jia, was detained again

On Nov. 27, 2000, at 6 pm, 7 to 8 policemen of Haidian District Branch held a summons and a search warrant for the home of Yu Jia, a teacher of Economic Management in Tsinghua University, and took her away for criminal detention. She is now detained in the Qinghe Detention Center in Haidian District. Her arrest might be because two days ago the Minghui Net exposed Zhang Zaixing and his followers at Tsinghua following Jiang Zemin's evil policy to do evil deeds. The head of Haidian Police Branch is Zhang Kemian.

Yu Jia once held large Falun emblem on the Golden Water Bridge in Tiananmen Square but miraculously the police did not notice her for quite a while. The Falun Emblem was flying high above the Golden Water Bridge. She was then detained for a month. To recreate the environment for public practice, she and some practitioners began to practice at a practice site in Tsinghua University. She was tortured for this. In the detention center, she continued to do the exercises and also encouraged other practitioners. The police in the center handcuffed her hands to her back and did not allow her to sleep and forced her to sit still all the time. To show her attitude of antiviolence, she went on a hunger strike for four and a half days. The tight handcuffs cut into her wrists. Sometimes she was in too much pain to sit still and fell on the floor. The police would then make others push her up, saying that she should not be so comfortable.

While Yu Jia was in detention, the wicked deeds of the police at Tsinghua University and Beijing 14^th Police Branch were exposed by the Minghui Net. These police searched Yu Jia's home. Four policemen beat Yu Jia's younger brother in front of Yu Jia's two years old daughter. Later, the police came again and asked her younger brother "Were you beaten?" He answered: "Yes, I was beaten. You want me to say 'No'. So, next time, you would have no fear to beat me." As a result, he was sent for labor education.

Haidian Police Branch did a lot of wicked deeds. This is where the female teacher, Zhao Xin, was tortured while detained in Qinghe Detention Center of Haidian District.

[Sichuan Province] Police unreasonably persecute Falun Gong practitioners

Druing the night of July 19^th 2000, two practitioners, Tang Meirong and Tan Bangqing of Jintang Huaikou in Sichuan Province, were arrested while sleeping when they traveled to Jinyan Lake in Guanghan. They were brought back to their hometown and have been detained under the charge of "group practicing and attempting to appeal to Beijing". On Nov. 15, 2000, they were both sentenced for 3 and half years

Liu Jufen is a practitioner of Jintang in Sichuan Province. In mid October, the local police let some evil people pretend to be people wanting to know the truth of Falun Gong and ask her for the material. Liu then brought them home. While giving them the material, the police officer Zhuang Tianhou, who is in charge of Falun Gong issues, then knocked on the door and came in. Liu's home then was searched and she was detained.

Huang Xingyuan, a practitioner who lives in the same city as Liu, was arrested at 9 pm on Nov. 1, 2000 while telling the truth to people. She is still detained.

[Xinjiang Province] Police collect the fingerprints and hair features of Dafa practitioners

Police Department of Xinjiang Province have collected information about Dafa practitioners' fingerprints and hair features. Starting from November 25, 2000, they began to arrest people on a large scale.

[Beijing] Police in Tiananmen Square tortured a retired senior engineer

Ms. Zhang, 64 years old, is a retired high-level engineer in the Research Institute of Nuclear Technology. To verify the truth of Dafa to people and the government, she rode her bicycle for 5 days to Tiananmen Square to join group practice. However, she was arrested by the police and was sent to Police Station of Tiananmen station. Because she did not tell them her name and her working unit, police tortured her for half an hour. After that she was back handcuffed. She fell on the floor and could not get up. The police then pushed on her handcuff to make her scream. They kept doing this for about 15 minutes with her mouth stuffed with cloth.

[Shijiazhuang, Hebei Province] The great undertaking of a Dafa practitioner, Kong Huijuan, in Womens Labor Camp

One summer day this year in Shijiazhuang Woman Labor Camp, when the radio broadcast in jail said that Falun Dafa was an "X", Kong Huijuan ran into the broadcasting room and took the microphone and said that" Falun Dafa is not an evil religion ..." For doing this, her term was extended for half a year and she was sent to Baoding city labor camp. Her action touched the heart of 130 practitioners in Shijiazhuang Woman Labor Camp. Though she is not there any more, her action is still radiating pure and righteous light here.

[Weifang, Shandong Province] The "610" unit at Haihua District persecuted practitioners

On October 26, 2000, the "610" unit (a special unit set up for persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners) arrested Dafa practitioners wantonly using cheating, deceiving, kidnapping etc

Wang Wende (a retired worker) was taken away from home by a person (whose last name is Ding, from Wang Wende's work unit 朩ater Supply Company) in the name of "attending a half-day class".

Jiang Hongchang (retired worker) just came back home from shopping, when he was tricked into a car by Zhao Yichao, the vice president of his work unit--Automobile Company by "There is something important in the company."

Hao Wuzhong (retired worker) was at home when Li Xueshu, the director of the security unit of Soda Factory) came and said: " Come to the factory to foot your bill for work-related injury", but Li Xueshu didn't succeed in the trick. Then he sent off five to six laborers to climb up a wall and break in from the window to take away Hao Wuzhong. They failed again. Then they deceived the Hao's child into giving them the key of his home and then they attempted to arrest Hao; they failed again. Finally, Li Xueshu brought a gang of laborers to take Hao Wuzhong away with an illegal summons.

Jiang Wenjun, 22 years old, was taken by force into a car by some cadres of his work unit (Packing Company) while he was working in the store. These cadres are Li Guangfu, Wang Qingwen and Zhang Jingzhi.

Li Wenting: a young high school teacher, was forcefully put into a car in the name of "attending a class" by 9 people. They were the vice president Sun Yunguang from Haihua Second Middle School; Sun XX: the staff of the Communist Party office in Haihua district; Zhao Xinlu and Lu XX who are from the Haiyang police station.

Tian Shufang (54 years old), Li Suxiang (49 years old), Feng Shuxiang (50 years old), Leng Huiyan (36 years old), Zhang Ruilan (50 years old) and Cui Yongxiou were deceived and arrested in the name of "having a meeting in the work unit" by a security officer Lun XX from Haihua Material Company and Zhang Guoliang from Haihua District government.

The wicked people have arrested 22 practitioners by these rogue means, all of them have been sent to Laohekou Border Patrol Police Substation. Because they could not stand the torture and persecution both physically and spiritually, they started a hunger strike for 14 days. One practitioner was in a dangerous state and was sent out for emergency treatment. The guards nose-fed these practitioners. There are no signs of them being released.

Right now, the relatives of practitioners are restricted from visiting them. When relatives asked to release them, the police's answer was: " This kind of 'Class' has no time limit, they must write a 'statement of repentance' and we don't care if they are alive or not." Falun Dafa practitioners keep upgrading their Xinxing, being nice to others, working hard and trying to be "the righteous enlightenment of selflessness and altruism." We don't know what they need to "repent" for.

We appeal to all kind-hearted people to support these kind Falun Dafa practitioners and help free them. We appeal to all international friends, the Red Cross Organization and Human Rights Organizations to pay close attention to this issue; let those evil beings who violate human nature, heaven principles and laws stop their hands which are covered with the blood of Dafa practitioners.

[Nanchang, Jiangxi Province] Dafa practitioner Zhou Genzi has been arrested without reasons

Nanchang Dafa practitioner Zhou Genzi, male, 45 years old, lives in Switch Factory in Xinjian County. He was taken away from home on September 30, 2000, and has not been released.

[Beijing] Tiananmen police group-beating a female Dafa practitioner

Ms. Zhang from Nanchang, appealed in Tiananmen Square on October 6. The police hit her head with a police rod and then pulled her into the police car. They took her from Tiananmen Police Station to Xuanwu District Police Station. Because she refused to tell her name and address, the police took her into an office and closed the door. Then four to five policemen took turns to beat her up. They were all sweating after the beating, and Ms. Zhang had bruises all over her body.

[Nanchang, Jiangxi Province]

Nanchang Dafa practitioner Liang Meihua, Wan Qing went to Jiangxi Agriculture University to share experiences with practitioners in order to help those who still staying at home "determined to cultivate" to step out. They were arrested by Nanchang Police, and detained separately in Xihu Police Substation and Qingyunpu Police Substation.

Dafa practitioners Wang Kangzheng from Nanchang and Zhou Fang from Xinjian County were arrested when they unfolded a poster saying "Falun Dafa is good" in Beijing. They were arrested again when they were on their way home after being released. Their homes were searched at the same time. Here we remind all practitioners to use our wisdom Dafa has given us, to validate Dafa more rationally and resourcefully. Never give any chance to the evils to persecute Dafa.

[Changchun, Jilin Province] The state of persecution of practitioners in Changchun

Shi Linping (alias), female, 57 years old, went to Beijing to appeal on November 4, 2000 and was sent back to the Second Detention Center in Nong'an County.

Mei Li (alias), female, 43 years old, went to Beijing to appeal on January 7, 2000. She was sent to the Second Detention Center in Nong'an County later on.

Zhang Kang (alias) went to Beijing to appeal and was taken away in a police car in front of the gate of People's Appealing Office, and then was sent back handcuffed to Changchun. She was detained 38 days in the Second Detention Center. During those detained days, she was forced to pick peas from early morning till night. On February 16, 2000, the police went to her home and asked if she still practiced, she answered: "Yes." Then Zhang Kang was jailed a second time; she was also beaten and kicked due to her practicing. This time she was jailed for 34 days. On October 28, 2000, Zhang Kang went Beijing to appeal again. She has been detained for the third time by the police of Nong'an County and is still detained to the present. It is said that all practitioners who goes to Beijing will be sentenced to three years of labor camp.

Lei Yumin (alias) went to Beijing on February 20, 2000 and was detained in the Second Detention of Nong'an. When she was sent back from Changchun to Nong'an, she was blackmailed 150 Yuan, otherwise, she would have been beaten. She had been detained for 22 days. She was fined 2,000 Yuan, and she had to pay the fee of 20.5 Yuan per day while in detention.

Shi Zhong (alias) was arrested and tortured on November 14, 2000 when he posted the flyers of Dafa on the street. His face and hands were heavily swollen due to the severe beating. His skin was still blue even after the swelling disappeared. His ears were blue, and his mouth was bloody. He is still detained in Nong'an Second Detention Center.

Liu Yougui (alias) went to Beijing to appeal on January 27, 2000. He was arrested by the police as soon as he arrived at the gate of the People's Appealing Office in Beijing. He was sent back to Nong'an Second Detention Center on January 29. He was cuffed with shackles because he practiced and went on hunger strike. He had been detained for 37 days until March 5. He was also fined by the local government.

Liu Yougui went out to tell the truth of Dafa on Nov. 7 and was arrested, suffered beating and pulling of hair and then sent to Nong'an Second Detention Center and has been there ever since.

Wang Chunling (alias) was detained because she went to Beijing to appeal on September 8, 1999. She was interrogated every 15 days. She was detained until November 21, 1999, and was fined 1600 Yuan. On October 17, police illegally searched Wang Chunling'home, and took her to the police station and beaten for two hours because some copies of Dafa materials had been found in her home. She was detained again for 15 days.

On November 14, Wang Chunling's home was again searched. They took Wang Chunling to the police station. Liu Shangkuan (unit leader) started to beat Wang Chunling as soon as she was brought in. The beating continued until her right face was blue. She is still being detained as of now.

[Wuhan, Hubei Province] List of names of some Wuhan practitioners under arrest

1) Peng Weisheng, Peng Min, Peng Yan.

Peng Weisheng, male, over 50 years old, makes a living by repairing bicycles. His wife, two sons and a daughter are all Falun Dafa practitioners. Every member of the family has been to Beijing appealing after July 22 last year. Since Peng Weisheng went to Beijing twice last year to appeal and encouraged other practitioners to do so, he was detained for one month after being sent back to Wuhan, and was transferred to various places afterwards. In March this year, he was sentenced to 1.5 years in prison due to his determination in Dafa, and the time he spent in transformation class was not included. He is now being held in Hewan labor camp. His wife, Li Yinxiu, over 50 years old, also makes a living by repairing bicycles, and was detained once for going to Beijing to appeal. She was detained for more than 10 days before National Day without any reason.

Their younger son Peng Min, and daughter Peng Yan were jailed together with their father after being caught and brought back from Beijing last year and were not released until Spring Festival. In February this year, policemen took them away from home and confiscated their computer and tape recorder. They have been held in custody since then. It is said that Peng Yan was tortured several times with the "board punishment" (which is an outrageous torture invented by Wuhan custody, one's four limbs are cuffed to a board, and one is unable to eat and relieve oneself) for practicing the exercises.

The elder son, Peng Liang, was held in Qingling transformation class from March to the end of August this year after appealing in Beijing last year. He suffered a lot, but never changed his mind about cultivation. He was again detained for 15 days before the National Day without any reason. It's said it was to prevent him from going to Beijing to appeal. The whole family, three being held, two being monitored tightly, could not make a living.

2) Luu Zhen, male, 24-year-old, is a cadre of Wuhan Post and Telecommunication Institute. He began cultivation in September 1993. He was awarded "Best Employee" many times, and was awarded "Excellent Youth" in 1998. From the end of July to the beginning of September, Luu Zhen broke many barriers and went to Beijing for appealing three times. In order not to involve his working unit, he wrote a resignation letter before going to Beijing. Luu Zhen went to Beijing many times and was caught and brought back each time. After being caught and brought back the third time, he was held in Wuhan Police Station Sanitarium as a serious criminal. During the first week of interrogation, he was forced to stand all day long facing the wall with handcuffs and anklet on, and was verbally abused and threatened from time to time. A group of policemen headed by Xu Shengquan (male, the head of No. 1 squad of Political and Security Division of Wuhan Police Department, it is said that he is in charge of Falun Gong issues in Wuhan) took turns to interrogate Luu Zhen late into 11pm to 12pm. They handcuffed Lu Zhen to the chair, forced him to sleep sitting. Luu Zhen was forced to receive "Psychological Aid and Education" for three whole months. On New Year Eve of year 2000, Luu Zhen was sentenced to 2 years of imprisonment with some fabricated reasons. Luu Zhen is now being held in Hewan Labor Camp. During the detention, Luu protested about the unfairness towards Falun Dafa and struggled for his right to practice by going on hunger strikes many times, the longest one lasting for more than 40 days. It is said that his parents were not allowed to visit him for several months due to this.

3) Zhang Jiehong, female, over 40 years old, Hubei Printing Factory staff. She has been to Beijing many times. She and another ten Dafa practitioners walked to Beijing on feet and was caught on the eve of April 25 of this year and sent back by local policemen. During detention, Zhang Jiehong and other practitioners went on hunger strike. The police had no choice but to release her. After overcoming many difficulties on their way, Zhang Jiehong and other Dafa practitioners arrived in Beijing in the beginning of May. They went to Tiananmen Square and unfurled Dafa banners on Master's birthday. During more than 10 days' detention after being caught, she went on hunger strike and was force-fed with high-density salt water everyday. After being sent back to Wuhan, she was sentenced to one-year labor education for her faithfulness toward Dafa. She is now being held in He Wan labor camp.

4) Zhang Quanhao, male, 32 years old, Wuhan Water Company staff. He went to Beijing to appeal after July 20 of last year and went to Beijing for a second time at the beginning of this year with his mother. The mother and son were sent back to Wuhan handcuffed together. He was then being held in Hanyang "transformation class"; he was beaten bloodily for insisting to do the exercises there. Later, he was sentenced to 1.5 years labor camp for refusing to write guarantee letter. He is now being held in Hewan labor camp. As he is so determined in Dafa, the labor camp would not allow his family member to visit him.

5) Zhou Yufen, female, 27 years old, staff of the Public Affairs Center of Donghu New Technology Development Corporation. She benefited physically and mentally since she began practicing Falun Dafa in 1997 and the fibroma in her chest disappeared. This June, she went to Tiananmen Square and was detained for one month after being sent back to Wuhan. After that, she was held in Haogou "transformation class" of Hongshan District . She was later detained half a month for distributing Master Li's new articles. Donghu police substation sentenced her to one year in labor camp. She is now being held in Hewan labor camp.

We hope all kind-hearted people can provide help to those practitioners, we also hope Wuhan police who still have conscience can come to their senses after seeing those practitioners' behaviors and deeds.

[China] Resist faked Master's articles

At present, there are five faked Master's articles circulating in some areas in China like "Cultivation Concluded", "Salvation is Difficult" etc. We hope practitioners involved could regard Dafa as Teacher, eliminate fundamental attachments and do not give the evil a chance.

[Liangshan County, Shandong Province] The village official in Liangshan County received retribution

By the end of July, officials of Xiao'anshan town in Liangshan County brutally persecuted practitioners who went to appeal in Beijing. An official whose last name is Xu acted especially demonically. He beat practitioners severely with his hands and feet, and punished practitioners by making them kneel on a brick edge for a long time. Several days later, Xu had a traffic accident, and got his pelvis broken, intestines spilled out, and genitals badly hurt. He survived after an emergency surgery, but is now disabled for his entire life. The vehicle driver who caused this accident even accused Xu of robbery. Xu deserved this fate. This is exactly "Justice is Evident, Retribution is Definite".
