[Beijing] The reputation of National Library was damaged in the process of cracking down on Falun Gong.
According to some high officials in China's Central Government, the National Library played a disgraceful role in the process of cracking down on Falun Gong.
In August 1999, after Falun Gong was declared as illegal and banned, the National Library set up three successive seminars. The lecturers were He Zuoxiu, Ren Jiyu (Curator of Nation Library), and Duan Qiming (Religious Affairs Administration Bureau of State Council). They also asked China Central TV station and Beijing TV station to interview Falun Gong practitioners in their own TV stations. Since Falun Gong practitioners would not defame Falun Gong, the program could not be broadcast. He Zuoxiu said he had wanted to criticize" Falun Gong for a long time, but for several years nobody gave him a chance until Luo Gan jumped out to help. He Zuoxiu wanted to defame Falun Gong in the name of disclosing fake Qigong and pseudo-science and said Falun Gong was one of his research projects. Actually He Zuoxiu tried to become famous by suppressing Falun Gong. Duan Qiming said they wrote to the Central Government asking for a against ban Falun Gong in 1996. They thought of the idea to label Falun Gong as an evil cult a long time ago, but they were afraid of the great number of practitioners. He even revealed that the so-called National Religious Affairs Bureau of State Council actually is an organization to monitor and control religious affairs.
In October 1999, Falun Gong was labeled as an xx according to Jiang Zemin's own personal motives. Incited by Luo Gan, some personnel in the National Library researched materials on xx's abroad in order to get some foundation for labeling Falun Gong as an xx. The main editor was the Reference Department of the Library, and the Circulation Department provided the materials. The editorial article "Falun Gong is indeed an xx" in the People's Daily originated from that.
[China] Two young fellows promote justice and help Dafa practitioners escape.
In early November 2000, two practitioners in a northern city were distributing truth materials in the street when they ran across and were stopped by some security personnel. The two practitioners told them the true story of cracking down Falun Gong to them and disclosed Jiang Zemin's crime. When the practitioners were telling the truth, more and more people gathered around. So the two practitioners clarified the truth to the surrounding crowd. The security personnel dragged the practitioners' bicycles and attempted to seize them and take them away. Practitioners said to them: "Please loosen your grip. We want to go home. If you do not want to give us our bicycles, we will not ask for them." At that time two young fellows came out of the crowd and scolded the security personnel angrily, "Falun Gong practitioners are all good people. Do not hold their bicycles. Let them go!"
The security personnel were scared upon hearing the two young boys' call for justice, but they still did not loosen their grip. So the two fellows forcibly grabbed the bicycles from the security personnel's hands and said to the practitioners, "You can go now. Do not pay attention to them. No one will stop you." The two practitioners thanked the surrounding people and the two young boys, then left.
When more and more people acknowledge Falun Gong, the evil will have no room to escape.
[China] Kind peddler in a grocery market
A practitioner distributed Falun Dafa materials to peddlers in a grocery market. When a peddler accepted the material and found that it was about Falun Gong, he shouted to the practitioner, "Falun Gong, come back!" The practitioner did not know the reason and asked, "Why?" The peddler said, "I know you are all good people and have no income. I want to give you some money to help you spread Dafa." The practitioner was moved and thanked the peddler.
[China] Security personnel have begun to understand the truth
A practitioner distributing flyers to mail boxes in a residential area was followed by a security person. The man told the practitioner he would report his actions to the police. The practitioner said, "Okay, I will not run away. I will go with you after I finish distributing the flyers. Do not worry. Let me give you a copy to read. These are my own experiences during the persecution. Take a look." The security person read it. After the practitioner came back, the security person asked, "Are these all true?" The practitioner said to him sincerely with patience, "Yes. We cultivate 'Truthfulness, Compassion, Tolerance' and try to be good people. I know the result of being caught. They may even beat me to death. But I have no fear. I want to disclose Jiang Zemin's disgraceful behavior in persecution of Falun Gong. " The security person was moved by the practitioner's kindness and righteous thoughts. He said to the practitioner, "You can go now. Take care." He then told the practitioner additionally to pay more attention to the security person at the entrance who monitors every person as they enter and exit.
[Guangzhou, Guangdong Province] Xu Juhua, the main Falun Gong assistant Wushan District in Guangzhou, was sentenced to one year of labor education at first, and then the term was extended for an additional year.
Xu Juhua has been persecuted since July 20, 1999. Whenever a sensitive date arrived or if there was an "important conference" that was to be held in Beijing, Xu would be taken away forcefully into the detention center. With such heavy pressure, Xu still went to Beijing to appeal and tell the true situation of Falun Gong to the government. She was sent back and detained, then released.
Xu Juhua did not participate in the large-scale practice in Tianhe District, but she was
suspected to be the organizer, and was sentenced to one-year of labor education. Later on, she was added another year since she studied the Fa and practiced in jail. Xu was first imprisoned in Cuotou Women's Labor Camp in Guangzhou. Since she refused to be transformed and refused to write the "three guarantees", they dared not to detain her together with other practitioners and they sent Xu back to the detention center for separate detention. Her family was not informed of her detention location. According to insider(s), she was tortured to the point of being very thin and her body was completely covered with scars. We hope that people pay close attention to this.
[Yantai, Shandong Province] Persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners in Yantai city
Zhang Yaoqiang, a Falun Dafa contact person in Yantai city, was arrested by the police in July 1999, under the charge of organizing the practitioners to appeal. He was brutally beaten in jail by the police; the police recharged the electronic baton several times during the torture. After being released, he was illegally detained by his work unit, Yantai No.2 Machine Tool Accessory Factory. He lost his freedom, his house was confiscated and he was later sentenced to three years in a labor camp.
In Wangcun Jail in Zibo City, when Zhang Yaoqiang was reading the Falun Dafa book, the guard spotted him and took away his book. Zhang went on a hungry strike for a long time to protest. His family went to the jail five times to visit him, but they were not allowed to see him. Presently, no detailed information is available. His wife is also a Dafa practitioner and her work unit has fired her.
Song Yulan, a practitioner in Zhifu district, Yantai city, was put into jail for spreading Dafa materials and was sentenced to two years of labor education. Seven other practitioners were also sentenced to labor education. More than one hundred practitioners were detained in the jail. Because of the information blockage, the number of the practitioners detained in the jail was hard to count. Recently many practitioners were missing without any information. Wang Yunxia was arrested by the police for telling the truth on Minghui Net , she cleverly escaped before she was sentenced to labor education.
[Qionghai, Hainan Province] News from Hainan province
In Qionghai, Hainan province, when we reported that Zhuang Guangxin was tortured to death by the evil people, we mentioned that there was another practitioner who was illegally interrogated on the eighth floor in the Financial Building in Qionghai city. Now we know that her name is Zheng Qi.
After this was reported by Minghui Net, the evil people from Qionghai police department, led by the department leader Chen Ze, put Zheng once again into Qionghai First Detention Center on November 3, 2000. They then attempted to cover up the truth. Another possibility is that they are carrying out new persecutions. We call on all of the kind-hearted people from around the world to express their concern for this matter and to stop the evil deeds.

[Shijiazhuang, Hebei Province] Practitioners were arrested when distributing Dafa materials.
Jiao Yanqiao, female, about 35, English teacher of Shijiazhuang Tiantong Corporation Tractor Factory affiliated school, was arrested because she distributed truth-clarifying materials to students in summer continuation class. She was arrested in October.
Qian Mei, female, about 35, teacher of Shijiazhuang No.1 Boarding School, was arrested in the middle of October when walking on Yongan street and distributing truth-clarifying materials.
Liao Tiejun, male, 39, Shijiazhuang No.2 Chemical Factory staff, was arrested right after his daughter (Dafa practitioner, Junior middle school Grade 2 student) was found distributing Dafa materials in No.3 Railway Bureau dormitory.
Zhao Fengjiang, male, 25-year-old, Shijiazhuang Colliery Machine Co. Ltd. staff member, was found distributing Dafa materials in Children's hospital dormitory on Oct 30 by a security guard who had been searching around for half a month. His glasses were broken and clothes tore into pieces.
The above practitioners are held in Shijiazhuang No.1 custody. Dafa practitioners held at that custody were even deprived of the rights that serious criminals were entitled to. Their families are not allowed to send clothes. It is winter now, some practitioners are still wearing autumn clothes. We call for kind people to pay attention to this.
[Hunan Province] Hunan Police arranged plainclothes policemen to wander about and to seize practitioners who distribute Dafa materials.
According to internal news, in order to find out clues about Dafa practitioners distributing materials, Hunan Police system arranged plainclothes policemen to wander about everywhere as taxi drivers, tricycle drivers, and waste goods collectors.
Their targets are people who wear frugal clothes, flat-heeled shoes, and carry a plastic bag. Practitioners, please be careful.
[Xinjiang Province] Keep sober-minded and firmly suffocate evil
Former director of Xinjiang assistance center, Xie Zhihong, took the initiative to lead several other assistants to express their regrets in the Municipality Political and Law Committee after July 22 of last year. She even took initiative to tear up Dafa books in front of the video camera when they were destroying Dafa books, and said a lot of defaming language towards Dafa. She was silent afterwards. Recently, she and Chen Xinhua, Meng Qiang and Wang Lan have been moving about, around practitioners, inquiring about the source of Dafa materials and who are distributing them, etc.
Dafa practitioners please keep sober-minded, distinguish all the evil ways of destroying Dafa and do not give them the market.
