To the Government of China:
On behalf of the citizens of the City of Whitehorse, Yukon, Canada I want to express our displeasure and dismay with respect to the continuing arrest and detention of the followers of the Falun Gong movement within China. That the Chinese government continues with its oppression of the members of this peaceful and spiritual movement is in direct contrast to the government's claim of increasing social freedom within China.
We call on the Government of China to cease this needless persecution of innocent people and to restore basic human rights to those already imprisoned and detained.
