[ClearWisdom Net] More than 3,000 attendees from overseas and Taiwan gathered in the stadium of National Normal University today (December 23) and attended the first day of the Asia Pacific Falun Dafa Experience Sharing Conference. This is the first time that an international experience sharing conference was held in Taiwan.
The 3,000 attendees included practitioners 18 countries: Australia, New Zealand, Korea, Japan, Singapore, Thailand, Hong Kong, Macao, Indonesia, and Malaysia, United States, Canada, South Africa, United Kingdom, Belgium, Sweden and Denmark, local Taiwan practitioners, and the general public.
Today's speeches were all presented by practitioners from Asian countries, including five regional reports from Taiwan, Japan, Thailand, Korea and Australia, as well as individual practitioners' cultivation experiences having the theme of their cultivation experiences since the April 25th incident.
A large-scale group practice where practitioners stood in formation (displaying the words "Zhen-Shan-Ren" in Chinese, and "Falun Dafa" in English) was held at the Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall in the afternoon. Later in the evening, a candlelight vigil and memorial was held, during which the names of each of the 103 practitioners who have died during the persecution were read.
Many local media and passersby stood to watch the practice and ceremony. The vice president of Taiwan, Ms. Lu, made a brief appearance to express her best wishes for Falun Gong.
