[China] Some labor education centers are viewing Minghui Internet site

Information suggests that many government officials and policemen are viewing the Minghui website everyday. Recently, even some labor education centers are watching the Minghui website around the clock. Some policemen are learning how to connect to the Internet.

The practitioners and all kindhearted and honest people are welcomed to provide more materials so as to better expose the brutal suppression and snuff out the evil.

[Public Security, China] Prisons, labor education centers and detention centers are required to report injury and death of Falun Gong practitioners

Recently, a document was passed down to prisons, labor education centers and detention centers from the Public Security Department. The brief content of the document was that there were many cases of Falun Gong practitioners injuring themselves or of committing suicides. In such cases, the police are required to fill in a table that simply contains a few items. One item is titled: Injury or Natural Death Reasons.

The whole document does not mention a single word of torture or of beating practitioners to death by the policemen. It shifted the responsibility of death to the practitioners, which is essentially to connive and tacitly give consent to the police to commit terrible crimes. It is very possible that there is a larger insidious plot behind these so-called statistics.

[China] Kindhearted people are awakening

In early November, I brought several hundred pieces of materials to a community to distribute. But as soon as I arrived there, the school security guard found me and took me to the city Public Security Department. Then I was sent to a detention center.

After I was taken to the detention center, I began a hunger strike to protest the illegal arrest. The jail guards and interrogators persuaded me to eat and said, "We know you practitioners are good and honest people. You are not criminals, but just have different beliefs. Please eat the food. Don't destroy your health... We will release you soon...." The guard even told other mates in the cell, "He is Falun Gong practitioner; he is a good man. If anyone dares to bully him, I will punish you." On the seventh day, I was released without any charges.

After a few days, several other practitioners who were distributing Dafa materials were found and sent to the city police station too. After the interrogation was recorded, they were released right away.

On November 26, many flyers were released from the New Century Department Store building and Shapingba building. The flyers exposed internal information about how the Public Security Department created fake evidence about Falun Gong.

[Beijing, China] Practitioner's pregnant wife under high pressure

Beijing practitioner, Zhang Dong, was arrested illegally and now is detained in Cong Wen detention center. One night in early November, more than ten policemen broke into his house and searched the rooms, but they found nothing. The next day, police transferred him to Chongwenmen Detention Center without any charge.

Zhang's wife is now pregnant 7 months. Zhang's detention has brought her a lot of pressure. She is hoping and waiting for the police to release the unborn baby's father.

[Beijing, China] Two practitioners in a medical university are illegally detained

Graduate student Wang Lan in the Basic Medical Research Center, Concord Medical University was arrested in Tianjing railway station for carrying materials related to Falun Gong. A few days later, another practitioner and researcher Liu Xiao disappeared suddenly. Many days later, Liu Xiao's family was informed that Liu was detained in Beijing Public Security 14^th Department. Liu's wife was working in a hospital for the Armed Police before, but she was forced to leave the hospital because of practicing Falun Gong. Staying at home with a one-year-old baby, she is now waiting for her husband to be released.

Police also interrogated another associate professor, Dan Ling, in the same research department. In order to avoid the suppression, Dan has had to leave home and has no where to go.

[Tonghe, Heilongjiang] Village official detains practitioners to acquire political leverage during election

During the election period in Red Star Village Tonghe County, to gain more political leverage, a village officer threw 18 practitioners who had been to Beijing to appeal into prison. All of them are still detained now. To make the detention a profitable business, he forced the practitioners to pay a large fine in order to be released.

[Beijing] Recent situation in Tuanhe Labor Camp

Recently, brutal large scale torture of Falun Gong practitioners took place again in Tuanhe Labor Camp. Practitioners were coerced into writing "Guarantee Statements" by the means of electric shock and "forbidden sleeping."

In order to complete the task of "transforming" Dafa practitioners, the Labor Camp shocked Falun Gong practitioners who refused to give up the practice with an electric stick to force them to change their minds. Police used four heavy electric sticks to shock Falun Gong practitioner Hu Changan. Another practitioner Hu Qianfeng was shocked directly on his head with two heavy electric sticks by the police team leader, Jiang. However, neither of them gave in.

Practitioner Chen Gang who is in the second team has been forced to stay awake until 2:00 AM everyday since November 5. Practitioner Ying Peichen was supposed to be released on October 26. However, since he hasn't been "transformed," his prison term has been extended by half a year with the charge of "resisting and cheating" the government.

[Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province] Police search for Dafa materials at will

Jiujiang police ransacked practitioners' home unrestrainedly. If they found Dafa books, the practitioner would be detained for 15 days. If materials from the Internet were found, the practitioner would be arrested and interrogated for the source. Numerous Dafa practitioners have been detained as a result.

[Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province] Two practitioners sentenced to labor education

Two practitioners, Wang Yi and Huang Jiaying, who had gone to Beijing to appeal on October 1, 2000, were sentenced to two and half years of labor education and are detained in Moganshan Labor Camp.

[Zhuzhou City, Hebei Province] Falun Gong practitioners tortured by town government

Dafa practitioners Zang Cuiqing and Chen Linmei were arrested when they were practicing Falun Gong in Tiananmen Square on October 1, 2000. They were sent to the office of Yihezhuang Town Government, Zhuzhou City, Hebei Province. The officials of the town government kept bothering them with high volume speakers all night long. They were kept handcuffed and forbidden to sleep. After three days, an official from Zhuzhou City Government said that the city government had held a meeting and the town government should act according to their decision. So they hung the two practitioners with their feet suspended in mid-air and beat them. When the practitioner lost consciousness, they poured cold water on them to wake them up and beat them again. Their whole bodies were covered with bruises. They were beat with ropes as thick as fingers, twisted from electrical and lead wires.

Practitioners Zhang Shuwen, Zhang Mo and Wang Gang were called to the office of the town government from their homes. Zhang Mo was beaten for a whole day. Officials ordered his 66-year old mother, Zhang Shuwen, to watch the beating. They asked Zhang whether he would give up Falun Gong. Later on they also hung Zhang Shuwen, beat her, and injected her with drugs. Wang Gang suffered the same penalty. These three practitioners were almost tortured to death. They have escaped from the town government office, but they don't dare go home. They are roaming and begging outside of their hometown.

[Chongqing City] Over ten practitioners arrested because of distributing Dafa materials

Chongqing Dafa practitioners Yuan Yugang, Li and three other female practitioners were arrested at 11:00 AM on November 4, 2000. All of their belongings at home were taken away (the detailed situation is not clear). So far over ten practitioners, those connected with distributing Dafa materials, have been arrested in Chongqing City.
