[Northwest of China] A city in Northwest China clarifies the truth on a large scale
On November 21, 2000, in order to further promote the Fa and suffocate the evil, practitioners in one city of Northwest China went out again, to collectively clarify the truth about Falun Dafa and to expose the evil.
In several town Squares, at City Hall, and in downtown areas, practitioners unfurled 1,500 Dafa banners reading "Falun Dafa is Good" and "Falun Dafa is the Righteous Fa." Furthermore, huge numbers of Dafa flyers on clarifying the truth of Dafa nearly covered the entire city and the surrounding suburb area. This activity was well prepared. Afterwards, the practitioners all returned home safely.
The Dafa disciples in this city want to say to our Teacher: "We will cherish this opportunity for cultivating Dafa that has been given to us by our Teacher, this opportunity is so difficult to come by in over thousands of years. We would like to assure our Teacher that we will do well, so as to recompense the great blessing our Teacher has given us, this one in a million chance."
[Beijing] Fifteen practitioners illegally tried in Dongcheng District Court in Beijing.
On January 28, Chief of Justice, Cao Hongbin, signed a criminal court verdict (Crime No. 37 in 2000). The practitioners were sentenced during the first round of trials based on Article 296, item 1 of article 25 in the "Criminal Law of the People's Republic of China" under charges of 'demonstrating illegally.'

On February 22, 2000, Chief of Justice, Li Yingli, of the Second Intermediate Court turned down Chu Tong's and the other 11 practitioners' appeals in the final round of trials (documentation No. 431) and kept the previous sentence.
[Beijing] Three thousand hired thugs given 'police' duties and uniforms
According to an internal source from Beijing, beginning in September of this year, the police department gathered three thousand extremely cruel thugs from the Provinces of Shandong, Sichuan, Guangdong, Fujian, Hunan and Jiangxi, to go to Beijing. These thugs consisted of local ruffians, rogues, and even prisoners who were under death penalties. Some of them wore police plainclothes, and were to recklessly "protect" Tiananmen Square. Others wore police uniforms and were dispatched to every police station in Beijing.
[Yueyang, Hunan Province] A practitioner fed hypnotic drugs during detention
Several days before, a practitioner was suspected of distributing Dafa material, so he was interrogated. During the following four days and nights of the detention, he was not beaten. One day, while having a meal, he voluntarily told the police where the material had come from. Three days later, he recalled this matter and told other practitioners immediately. It is possible that his food had been laced with hypnotic drugs during his detention period. According to insider information from someone in the upper ranks, on October 10, the police were preparing to use hypnotic drugs to try to control practitioners in Hunan, Hebei and Shangdong Provinces.
[Shenzhen, Guangdong Province] Jiang Zemin in Shenzhen, practitioners go homeless
Jiang Zemin arrived in Shenzhen for a visit on November 18. On November 10, the police began the reckless and crazed arrest of practitioners in the province. From November 12, practitioners were forced to attend intensified transformation classes. Some practitioners had to leave home. One female practitioner had gone out to clarify the truth carrying her four month old baby and she could not go back to her own home.
[Xinjiang Province] Police in Xinjiang use traffic cameras to catch Dafa practitioners
Police in Wulumuqi City, Xinjiang province, use despicable means to take pictures of practitioners distributing material in order to persecute Dafa Practitioners. Some practitioners distribute materials in busy night markets within 200 meters of a traffic light and they were taped by traffic video cameras. The evil forces use the pictures to persecute Dafa practitioners.
Recently, some police have dressed up as rickshaw drivers, taxi drivers, or environmental sanitation workers. They walk around watching out for passengers who are plainly dressed, wearing flat shoes, not wearing any make-up and carrying small plastic bags. They are attempting to find practitioners distributing Dafa materials in order to destroy Dafa.
Zhong Xinlian, a Xinjiang Dafa practitioner, was detained in Beijing recently because she went to appeal. Her work institute had received a notice to pick her up in Beijing. We hope that all kind people from all walks of life pay more attention to the situation of Falun Dafa practitioners in China and help to stop the persecution of benevolent people by the evil forces.
[Weifang, Shandong Province] Persecution situation in Weifang
Qiao Yongping, female, 36 years old, a teacher at Zaochunyuan Elementary School in Kuiwen District. She went to appeal in Beijing in October 1999 and was illegally detained for 15 days. After being released, she was sent to the Third Vocational School for forced "Re-education Classes" for more than a month. She was also fined almost 10,000 Yuan. This year, on October 1st, she went to appeal in Beijing and was illegally detained for 15 days. After being released, her working unit then detained her for days. After that, her working unit and police sent her into detention again.
Xu Bing, female, 35 years old, was a police officer in Weifang City. Because she went to appeal in Beijing, she was sent to a mental hospital many times. Her suffering was so great that she nearly died, but she managed to remain alive. In October 2000, she went to appeal in Beijing and was illegally detained for 15 days. After being released, she was then tricked by her work unit and was sent to "Re-education Classes" held in a senior's home at Shuiku Road. After that, she was sent to Kuiwen Detention Center.
Li Guijuan, female, 39 years old, an elementary school teacher. Last year, she went to appeal in Beijing and was illegally detained. This year in July, she gave her colleagues materials about Falun Gong and was exposed to the police by the principal of the school. She was then detained for a month. Later, her work unit and police came to arrest her in school and detained her for 30 days. Then, she was sent to a beer factory to attend re-education classes under illegal custody.
Lin Jun, female, 39 years old, was a teacher at Changwei Teacher's College in Weifang City. On October 1, 2000, she went to appeal in Beijing and was illegally detained for 15 days. Later, she was detained again for no reason.
Yu Wei, male, 22 years old, had just graduated from college. He lived in the dormitory of the Labor Department in the Development District in Weifang City. On October 1, 2000, he went to appeal in Beijing and was badly beaten in a detention center and Weifang liaison office in Beijing. In Weifang liaison office, he was handcuffed to a chair and was beaten badly. After he went home, the local residential committee extorted him out of a lot of money before allowing him to back home. Recently, he was detained for a month without reason.
Zhang Dongming, male, 37 years old, was a team leader in the advertising unit of the 2nd Dye Factory. Last year, he was fired because he went to appeal in Beijing. On October 1, 2000, because he went to appeal in Beijing, the police station ordered his previous work unit to arrest him for "labor re-education." Now, he has no place to go and no one knows where he is.
Yang Jianmei, female, 39 years old, was an employee of a food-oil storage and transportation company in Weifang City. Last year, because she went to appeal in Beijing, she was sent to Changle Mental Hospital (the hospital where Su Gang was tortured to death) for many days. On October 1, 2000, she went to appeal in Beijing and was illegally detained for 15 days. After her release, she was sent to Wangliu Town by her work unit and was badly beaten. Her family had asked for help to bring her home. Later, her work unit detained her. Wang Jimei, formerly in charge of administration and the legal system in Weicheng District, Weifang City, who was responsible for the death of Chen Zixiu [Ed. Note: the 58 year-old woman featured in the Wall Street Journal on April 20], has now been promoted to be the head of the City Food Department. She ordered someone to lock Yang Jianmei in a small room with 16 people taking turns to watch her. Yang Jianmei left her work unit on October 19 to go back to her home. However, Wang Jimei sent 20 people to her house to arrest her. She had no way out and jumped out from the second floor. Now, no one knows where she is.
The Cases for labor re-education in Weifang City:
Ma Wu, male, 40 years old, was an employee of Huaguang Co. in Weifang City. He had gone to appeal in Beijing 7 or 8 times. On October 1, 2000, he went to appeal in Beijing and was detained for 30 days. Later, he was sent to Zibo city for 3 years' "labor re-education."
Ren Sujun, female, 22 years old, went to appeal many times. On October 1, 2000, she went to appeal in Beijing and was detained for 30 days. Later, she was sent to Jinan city for 3 years' "labor re-education."

[Beijing] In Beijing, the evil forces brainwash practitioners by organizing group travel
Now, in many places in Beijing, there are police stations, offices, work units, and street residential committees organizing people to travel or organizing group discussions with practitioners. They viciously attempt to brainwash the practitioners in this way on a large scale. Hopefully practitioners will use all means to reject it.
[Xinjiang Province] Partial list of the Dafa practitioners illegally sent to labor camps, detained, and forced to be destitute and homeless in Xinjiang
Cao Hongqi, male, was one of the contact persons in Xinjiang. Since July 22 of last year, he has been detained and jailed many times due to his determination in cultivating Dafa. On August 29, 1999, he was taken away from home by the police without reason. Presently, there is no further information about his whereabouts or whether he is dead or alive.
Chen Yujiang, male, has gone to Beijing to appeal many times. Around July 22, 2000, he went to Beijing to tell the truth about Falun Dafa to the government, but had been sentenced for three years of labor education just because he asked: "Where is the appeals office?"
Zhong Kai, male, an excellent student in the Department of Electrical Machinery, Xinjiang Oil Institute. At the end of October 1999, he went to Beijing to appeal, then he was brought back to the college and was forced to write a guarantee letter. He firmly refused to write it, so the college suspended him from study. He had been detained for a month during that time. He was again arrested in a practitioner's home illegally this June. After a one-week detention, he went to Beijing again to appeal. The college brought him back and for fear of taking responsibility, directly sent him to Xishan Detention Center in Wu city. But practitioners never saw him when they sent some stuff for his daily use. (Since Zhong Kai is an orphan and his elder sister has been sentenced to two years of labor education because of her determination in Dafa, the practitioners were not allowed to see him because they are not technically his next of kin). It is not sure whether Zhong Kai is currently being detained in Xishan Detention Center.
Hou Yanni, female, went to Beijing to appeal last October and was arrested in Tiananmen Square, then she was sentenced to two years of labor education. Now she is in Wulabo Detention Center. She has an 80-year-old mother-in-law and a 10-year-old daughter at home. Her mother-in-law once said in tears: "I don't know if I can see her again while she is alive." Her daughter is allowed to see her once per month, but can only stay with her for a littler while.
Zhou Genzheng, male, a lecturer at the Xinjiang Industrial Institute, was illegally deprived of his position because he cultivated Dafa firmly. For fear of taking responsibility, the college officials expelled him from the school to protect their personal interest and Zhou Genzheng had to do manual labor for living.
Qu Suhui, female, never faltered in her determination though her work unit forced her to write a guarantee letter many times. Her salary has been suspended since August.
Wei Yuefen, female, went to Beijing to appeal and has been detained for one month. Her salary has been stopped since then.
Yan Xuehua, female, was detained and is awaiting trial on bail because she distributed Dafa materials to her co-workers in early August.
Li Xianghong, female, lecturer from the Xinjiang Industrial Institute (MS degree), had gone to Beijing to appeal many times. She was arrested on August 8 when she was distributing Dafa materials and there is no information available about her whereabouts.
Ju Zaiping, female, 43 years old, from the 8th Farm in Shihezi city, was sentenced to one and a half years of labor education.
A practitioner (not quite clear about her name), female, 49 years old, has been sentenced to three-years of labor re-education.
Fan Wei (male) and Zhu Hua (male) have been missing since September. It is said they have been detained.

[China] Watch out: fake articles are still being circulated
Recently, fabricated articles were found among the practitioners at one experience-sharing gathering, and some practitioners believed them without any doubts in their minds. Here, we raise this issue to all, and hope all to be alert to it.
These fabricated articles are different from those before. The person who was distributing them said: "These are the Fa that Teacher told the high-level practitioners overseas, so they were not published on Minghui net" and so on.
Teacher has said in Zhuan Falun: "I treat all practitioners, including those who are able to truly practice cultivation through self-study, as my disciples." "In fact, it does not matter who the person is -- there is only one Fa. Only by observing this Dafa can one meet the genuine standard. The people who work by my side have not received any special treatment and are the same as everyone else; they are just staff members of the Research Society. Do not develop those attachments. Oftentimes, upon forming these attachments, you may play the role of unintentionally undermining Dafa."
