[Special report from the Times] The Falun Dafa Association of Canada has decided to organize various kinds of activities throughout Canada to make the public aware of what Falun Gong is, about the brutal persecution in China, and appeal to the public for support. This is because during the past year or so, tens of thousands of innocent Falun Gong practitioners have been arrested, detained, sent to labor camps, and tortured. Some have died as a result of this government sanctioned persecution. Practitioners from Mantic, Toronto, Ottawa, and Vancouver planned to appeal in front of the Chinese embassy and consulates this Friday (Sept. 29). Falun Gong practitioners also appealed to the Canadian government and international organizations to "mediate the channels for dialogue and urge for a peaceful and just resolution" to solve the Falun Gong crisis.
