[Beijing] There were loudspeakers broadcasting the truth of Falun Gong in bustling areas of Beijing.
On October 12, it was sunny in Beijing. There were more than 20 loudspeakers placed in parks, residential, and some bustling areas. From 6 to 8am, they broadcasted to many people, "Jiang Zemin Cannot Shirk the Responsibility for the Persecution of Falun Gong" and "The Words to Beijing Policemen from Our Hearts". The pre-recorded tapes could be broadcasted repeatedly. In addition, the broadcasting time was adjustable. Practitioners, with their wisdom, used varieties of ways to clarify the truth to people, which strengthened the manifestation of the Fa in the human world.
[Shenzhen] Practitioners in Shenzhen city distributed flyers during the opening of the High Technology Trade Fair.
On noon of October 12, during the opening of The Second Chinese High Technology Trade Fair, practitioners in Shenzhen went out again distributing flyers and clarifying the truth. The main topics on these flyers were: "Jiang Zemin Cannot Shirk the Responsibility for the Persecution of Falun Gong", "The Trampled Human Right" and "The Truth of Falun Gong". About 8,000 flyers were distributed to central areas of Shenzhen City, such as Luohu, Futian, and Nanshan. A lot of people were trying to get one of these flyers. They often talked with each other, "Have you got one?"
This was a voluntary activity for "Assisting the Teacher in the human world" and it was the second time that they did it. The first time was posting Dafa bulletins on September 28. "Cultivation depends on one's own effort, while the transformation of gong is done by one's master." All practitioners taking part in the activity came back home safely.

A ten-year-old practitioner has cultivated and practiced Falun Gong for three years. He firmly believes in Dafa. In order not to let more people be deceived by false reports about Falun Gong, he stepped forward to distribute materials telling the truth of Falun Gong to the public. One day, he went out with his grandmother on a bus. Before getting off the bus, he left several copies of Dafa material on the seats. When he went shopping at the supermarket, he put some copies in between the stacked noodle bags for predestined people. Sometimes, he went out with some flyers to give them to some predestined people directly. He would put the flyers in their bicycle baskets or insert the flyers into the doors. He could distribute dozens of flyers in a short time.
[Chongqing, Sichuan Province] Practitioner Zhan Peilan in Chongqing City was sentenced to 3 years imprisonment.
Practitioner Zhan Peilan in Chongqing city, a retired worker in Dajiang Vehicle Factory, was sentenced to 3 years imprisonment under the charge of "using an evil cult organization to violate the law". This was the second illegal conviction for Dafa practitioners in Chongqing city.
According to the report on Chongqing Evening Newspaper, the "crimes" convicted by Zhan Peilan was, "After sharing experiences with two practitioners from Changchun City during the time from December 26 to 31 last year, Zhan Peilan, Falun Gong assistant in Dajiang Vehicle Factory, initiated a group of 10 people to do exercises in a football field from 5am to 6am. She also rented a room in Yutong County for group study of Falun Gong books." She was sentenced to 3 years imprisonment simply because of doing some exercises after retirement and reading some books in a rented room. What crime did she commit? Whom did she do harm to? Is there any freedom at all for Falun Gong practitioners in China? We urge and call on the government to release all Dafa practitioners who have been detained, put into labor camps, sentenced and sent into mental hospitals, return the innocence to our Teacher and clarify the truth of Falun Dafa.
[Shijiazhuang, Hebei Province] Practitioner Wang Weihua in Shijiazhuang was committed to the mental hospital.
Wang Weihua, female, 39 years old, worked in the hospital of the third cotton mill. She was detained for 15 days by Gexinjie local police station due to her appealing for Falun Gong in Beijing. Later, she was sent into a mental hospital and forced to receive injections, medicines, and some other inhumane treatments. Her body and mind were severely damaged.
[Tiananmen Square] Observations at Tiananmen Square on October 6
At 11am on October 6, it was cloudy. I came to Tiananmen Square. There were a lot of tourists. An old lady told me, "A lot of people were arrested just now. They were taken away from the square by many buses." I saw several groups of crowds. I immediately went up to one of the groups. I saw two policemen beating up a male practitioner. One policeman held the practitioner and forced him to bend down. Another policeman stood in front of the practitioner and kicked his head and face. His head started bleeding. The tourists around talked to each other: "It is so vicious. What if his eyes get kicked?" "It is so inhumane. He just did some exercises. It is said police are hard on Falun Gong. I could not believe it is really true until I see it now." Some other tourists murmured, "During these days, those who vilifies Falun Gong can show up on TV, while those who say Falun Gong is good would be put into jail. Where is the human right?" Shortly afterwards, I saw two policemen forcing one senior female into a police car. The lady shouted, "Why did you force me to get on the bus. I did nothing wrong but tour around." One policeman said, "If you curse someone, you can go away." The lady answered, "Why should I curse others? They did not hurt me." As she was still shouting, policemen pushed her down from the police bus to the ground. In order to detain Dafa practitioners, the "people's police" even forced citizens to curse other people.
After a while, there were seven or eight Dafa practitioners practicing the fifth exercise, the sitting meditation. They were all carried into police bus and taken away. Right then, a practitioner in the crowd started saying loudly: "Falun Dafa is good. Falun Dafa is the great law in the universe." This scared the police. Dozens of police rushed to this practitioner, kicked and beat him, and then packed him in a police van.
It was overcast. I went back on a taxi and chatted with the driver. He said, "Falun Gong is growing more popular day by day. There are flyers everywhere telling the truth of Falun Gong and disclosing Jiang Zemin's evil conducts." He continued, "They just do some Qigong exercises. Why doesn't the government just let them practice Falun Gong? If they can continue practicing Falun Gong, there won't be so many practitioners coming to Tiananmen Square." My sorrow was a little relieved after hearing this driver's comments.
[Gansu Province] Falun Dafa practitioners are secretly arrested and their houses are suddenly ransacked by the police in Gansu Province.
Recently, the police in Gansu Province suddenly ransacked the homes of all the practitioners on police's name list, and arrested the practitioners secretly (it often happened at about 3am). They mainly wanted to search for Dafa books, materials and flyers. They also forced practitioners to write guarantee letters. It was told that the number of missing practitioners is more than 30 and more cases are still unknown. To avoid being persecuted, many practitioners are forced to leave their homes.
In recent days, the police in Lanzhou city, Gansu Province, imposed an unreasonable search on Dafa practitioners, and arrested anyone that has Dafa materials. They also convinced new practitioners who have not studied the Fa thoroughly enough to give out the names of other practitioners. Please do not be utilized by the evil force and pay attention to cultivation of speech.
[Chongqing, Sichuan Province] High school students in Chongqing City, Sichuan Province have brought policemen to the school by writing "Jiang Zemin can't shirk the responsibility of persecution of Falun Gong."
The students in one high school of Chongqing City wrote the sentence "Jiang Zemin can't shirk the responsibility of persecution of Falun Gong" on the boards, desks and chairs during their spare time after they saw the posters with the title of "Jiang Zemin can't shirk the responsibility of persecution of Falun Gong" on the street. This has brought 4 police vans to search for and investigate the students who were responsible. The fact that Jiang Zemin does not have the support of the people has manifested among these high schools students.
[Beijing] Lin Guilan, female, about 40 years old, is a farmer in Fuhao village, Tongzhou District. She was arrested without reason by the security before the National Day (October 1) and illegally detained at Qiaozhuang Detention Center. Recently, she was sent to a labor camp illegally.
[Shijiazhuang City] Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province has issued a document, saying whomever appeals to Beijing will surely be fired by the work unit and dismissed from the Party.
Recently, the Chinese government is making up public opinion through official channels to deploy its scheme of intensifying the crackdown on Falun Gong. It was told that Shijiazhuang City has officially issued a document, claiming that whomever appeals to Beijing will be fired by the work unit and dismissed from the Party without exception. There was even an emergency meeting in Xinji City, Hebei Province, to form four special groups in charge of the followings respectively:
- To crush the determined members;
- To punish practitioners with the Party's and administrative rules;
- To educate and convert practitioners;
- To monitor the practitioners.
Xinji City will create record archives for every practitioner to increase their control on practitioners. The practitioners are required to hand in their photos and IDs, and whoever appeals to Beijing will be fined RMB 2,000, and they need to get permit before going out of the town.
It's also known that Tang county and Yuanshi, Hebei Province, have begun to arrest Falun Gong practitioners on a large scale.

The people listed below are now either in labor camps or detention centers, simply because of either unfolding a Falun Dafa banner, practicing Falun Gong, or going to appeal for Falun Gong in Tiananmen Square in June:
Li Huanbao, Yue Xuefeng, Shi Zhongyan, Zhu Feng, Zhen Qingyue, Shao Minggang, Gao Weihan, Wang Yinbao, Lu Kun, Ma Yongqiang, Chen Guojun, Wang Dongxin, Dai Ping, Wang Fang, Wang Qing, Zhou Lianying, Wu Yanqiu, Zhao Jie, Wu Xiujuan, Sheng XX, Wang Shuqing, Li Kai, Wang Yinghua, Lu Xiumin.
Wang Yuqing was taken away from home on April 21 because she refused to let the police rob our teacher's photo. She has now been sent to a labor camp.
There are dozens of practitioners in Jinzhou Detention Center right now. Some have been detained there for almost three months. The conduct of the Chinese government is against the law; we call on help from kind-hearted people of the world.
[Pingquan County, Hebei] The arch-criminal in charge of the persecution of Dafa practitioners has become very sick.
It was told from inside the police that Tong Lijun (as such pronounced), a team leader of Pingquan County police in Hebei Province, is the arch-criminal in charge of the persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners. He has done so many wrong deeds. He has become sick and was sent to the hospital.
