After Master Li published his new articles, "The Knowing Heart" and "Towards Consummation," Falun Dafa practitioners in Jinzhou were deeply shocked. Motivated by their concern for human rights, they began stepping forward one after another to take part in activities to defend Dafa on a grand and spectacular scale. Each practitioner, according to his own condition and Xinxing standard, has been fully playing their role as particles of Dafa. One of the main activities has been going to Beijing to safeguard Dafa.
This June, one group of Falun Dafa practitioners after another from Jinzhou went to Beijing to defend Dafa. By the end of June, the lockups and detention houses of Jinzhou were full of practitioners. (This is the first step of their detention). Namely all those Falun Dafa practitioners who could step forward all joined the activities to safeguard Dafa.
Following the "Internal Speech" from the Central government, the Municipal Communist Party Committee immediately set up evil "Falun Gong Thought Education and Transformation Classes." All those Falun Dafa practitioners who went to Beijing to appeal to the government were not released after their sentence at the detention center was through. They were all transferred to "Education Class" (this is the second step of their detention) so as to prevent them from going to Beijing on July 22nd.
Who are the supervisors of the detention class?
The supervisors of the Municipal Communist Party Committee lead the class. The Chief, deputy Chief and other leaders from the First Department of Jinzhou police station, several secretaries from the Municipal Communist Party Committee and some other districts act as "teachers."
What happens during "Education Class"?
Falun Gong practitioners are required to watch the videotape of the CCTV's program on Falun Gong and to write their thoughts about Falun Gong .
How long is the "Education Class"?
Each term will be one month.
Those people who have an understanding of Falun Gong similar to the central government can be immediately released. (No genuine Falun Gong practitioners were released.)
Those who stubbornly insist on their belief in Falun Gong have to attend another term (they cannot be exempted from the tuition of 400 Yuan and will be given receipt for tuition).
Those Falun Gong practitioners who cannot be transformed after attending 3 terms of "Education Class" will be sentenced to labor camp for 3 years. (These rules are announced at the "education class.")
Who are the students in this "Education Class"?
The Education Classes consist of those Falun Gong practitioners who have been detained in the detention center, but haven't engaged in activities that would cause them to be sentenced as criminals to the detention house.
Those Falun Gong practitioners who, according to different police sub-stations, are stubbornminded, continuing to go to Beijing or continuing to practice Falun Dafa, etc.
There are totally 70 to 80 Falun Dafa practitioners who attended the "education class."
The "Education Class" has adopted brutal methods of persecution:
Police will beat those Falun Gong practitioners who disobey their rules or go on hunger strikes during the daytime. On one occasion, a beating such as this broke one practitioner's arms. Some other practitioners were beaten and then sent to the detention house. Around 10 Falun Dafa practitioners were considered as "organizing" others to make troubles and were also sent to detention house.
After July 22nd passed, all those Falun Gong practitioners who refused to write a pledge renouncing Falun Gong were sent to the detention house.
In this unusual test, these Falun Gong practitioners fully demonstrated great compassion and tolerance. Facing illegal detention, practitioners maintained their Xinxing and kept Dafa as master. Many Falun Gong practitioners were beaten and some fainted while reciting the Fa (they had been on hunger strike for many days). However, voices reading Lunyu, which resound throughout the universe, can frequently be heard in classrooms.
If those practitioners who were sent to detention house (after their initial sentence and "Education Class") refused to write a pledge during their detention, they were sent directly to labor camps (the fourth step of their detention). About 30 Falun Gong practitioners were sentenced to forced labor. They were all detained in Jinzhou Labor Camp (male) and Maosanjia Labor Camp of Shenyan City, Liaoning Province (female).
Now Liaoning Province no longer approves of the sentencing of Falun Gong practitioners to forced labor (the situation in other cities and counties is not yet known.). Maosanjia Labor Camp of Shenyan City, Liaoning Province cannot hold any more people. Jinzhou Labor Camp is already full. Currently many Falun Gong practitioners are still detained in Jinzhou Detention Center. Some of them have been held there for as long as 3 months.
Falun Gong practitioners detained in Jinzhou Labor Camp are still very determined in their belief of Falun Gong and refuse to give in to evil forces. They have had their fill of cruel tortures. The few people without conscience attempt to destroy the practitioner's belief by vicious means. Jinzhou Labor Camp has established a Group for Severe Control and several firm Falun Dafa practitioners were "severely controlled." Li Kai, one Falun Gong practitioner was intentionally burned with a cigarette by a guard. All his fingers were scalded, became inflamed and began to discharge pus. However, he still endured all this with a strong will, and never stopped working with others.
We hold up the following people for universal condemnation:
The supervisors from Municipal Communist Party Committee, Municipal Politics and Law Commission and City police station have repeatedly made their own laws, organized "education classes" and intensified the evilness.
The head of the First Department of Jinzhou police station, his lieutenants, the few policemen from some police sub-stations of Jinzhou and Jinzhou Labor Camp have brutally tortured, swore at and beat Falun Dafa practitioners. They have committed monstrous crimes, which are too great to be forgiven.
