At about 5 am on October 6, one practitioner from Shandong Province, China called me on my cellular phone, telling me that he and his fellow practitioners from Shandong Province had been dispersed in Beijing and that he got my phone number from a certain fellow practitioner. He told me that he was very sorry to disturb my sleep.
He then told me that the police, who spared no one their cruel beatings, not even the elderly or children, had arrested another thousand practitioners from 11 am to 1 pm in Tiananmen Square, causing a great disturbance there. Before I could ask him for more details or even tell him that the police had arrested this fellow practitioner and some other practitioners in a raid on their hotel, the phone line was suddenly cut off.
I thought he surely would call me back again. I waited for 5 minutes, 10 minutes, then half an hour and one hour, two hours and four hours. He never called back.
Dafa practitioners risk all they have in this world, even their lives. They suffer unspeakable tribulations to awaken the conscience of people all over the world. They deserve the right to cultivate, a right inalienable to all people, and deserve the right to share the truth about Falun Dafa with all people. Practitioners care about other people and think about other people first. Even when making a call a moment before being arrested, they take the time to apologize for disturbing others' rest.
Facing such Dafa practitioners, Jiang Zemin and his cohorts should be ashamed of what they have done -- how selfish and inhumane they are! They are actually deceiving and destroying themselves with such a policy against Falun Gong.
