On the eve of the new millennium, a dozen of practitioners from Japan gathered on the Tiananmen Square to practice Falun Gong and were arrested by the Chinese police. Six practitioners with Japanese passports and one practitioner with Taiwan passport were deported and sent back to Tokyo on the afternoon of January 1st, 2000. Those practitioners with Chinese passports were still being detained when the news was posted.
On the morning of December 31, seven representatives of Falun Gong practitioners in France came to the Chinese Embassy in Paris to deliver an appealing letter in response to the Chinese communist regime' heavy sentence against the 4 former contact people of Falun Gong. The guard of the Chinese Embassy became very nervous as soon as he saw the familiar Falun Gong practitioners. He closed the door before they finished their words. And he had never opened the door again ...
