(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 8 cities or counties in 4 provinces, where at least 17 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
1. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Mr. Sun Zhongfu Sentenced to Prison
2. [Dongning City, Heilongjiang Province] Nine Practitioners Arrested
3. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Wang Zhixin Arrested; Mr. Jia Hongjiang’s Home Ransacked
4. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Ms. Sun Xiuxia Arrested
5. [Shifang City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Zhou Min Arrested
6. [Rongcheng City, Shandong Province] Mr. Li Wanli Arrested
7. [Longkou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Han Cuiying Arrested
8. [Sanhe City, Hebei Province] Mr. Li Lianqing Harassed
1. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Mr. Sun Zhongfu Sentenced to Prison
Mr. Sun Zhongfu was arrested after being reported for distributing Falun Gong materials. He was sentenced to one year and is scheduled to be released from Shandong Province Prison on November 15, 2025.
2. [Dongning City, Heilongjiang Province] Nine Practitioners Arrested
Mr. Shen Jinxiang, Mr. Yang Kui, Ms. Jia Yanfeng, Ms. Su Hong, Ms. Su Ying, Ms. Wang Xiuzhi, Ms. Sun Weili, Ms. Lang Cuixiang, and Ms. Peng Shoufeng were arrested on the afternoon of July 18, 2025, by officers of the Dongning City Political Security Division in collaboration with the local police stations. Most of the practitioners’ homes were ransacked.
The male practitioners are being held in Dongning City Lockup, while the female practitioners were taken to the Mudanjiang City Detention Center.
3. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Wang Zhixin Arrested; Mr. Jia Hongjiang’s Home Ransacked
Ms. Wang Zhixin from Qianxi County was arrested by officers from Tangshan City Police Department at noon on July 16, 2025.
Mr. Jia Hongjiang’s home was ransacked by officers from Tangshan City Police Department on July 18, 2025.
4. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Ms. Sun Xiuxia Arrested
Ms. Sun Xiuxia was arrested by officers from Bailou Township Police Station on the evening of July 18, 2025, after she was recorded by surveillance cameras putting up Falun Gong materials.
5. [Shifang City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Zhou Min Arrested
Ms. Zhou Min was taken away on the morning of May 14, 2025, by officers from the Yongcheng Police Station and the Shigu Police Station. While the police claimed they just wanted to ask her questions, they put her under criminal detention at the Deyang City Detention Center and issued a formal arrest warrant for her on May 28. Her family hasn’t been allowed to visit her.
6. [Rongcheng City, Shandong Province] Mr. Li Wanli Arrested
Mr. Li Wanli, nearly 50, was reported to the police while talking to people about Falun Gong at Lidao farmers market in May 2025. He was arrested and is being held in Rongcheng City Detention Center.
7. [Longkou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Han Cuiying Arrested
Ms. Han Cuiying was arrested and had her home ransacked on July 17, 2025.
8. [Sanhe City, Hebei Province] Mr. Li Lianqing Harassed
Mr. Li Lianqing was harassed by officers from Huangzhuang Town Police Station in mid-June 2025. They took pictures of him without his consent.
