Japan: Falun Gong Practitioners Hold Activities to Protest 26-Year-Long Persecution

(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioners held a series of activities on July 20, 2025, to inform people about the persecution and to commemorate practitioners in China who were tortured to death for refusing to give up the practice. They also called for an end to the atrocities.

Activities Outside Chinese Embassies

Practitioners gathered outside the Chinese embassy in Tokyo in the morning. They quietly stood in a row, holding banners in a peaceful protest. They have done this every day since the persecution began.

Mr. Sakuragi, a Falun Gong practitioner, said, “This persecution is in its 26^th year. Falun Gong was introduced to the public 33 years ago. Today, the CCP’s persecution of Falun Gong continues. This is not only a persecution of Falun Gong, it is a systematic suppression of the entire human race. It destroys human moral values and leads people to indulge in materialism. We hope the CCP will stop persecuting Falun Gong, clear the practice, and Master’s name!”

During the activities, eye-catching banners and display boards with detailed information made many passersby and cars stop to learn what was going on. People read the display boards. Passengers in cars opened their windows and waved to practitioners to express their support and encouragement.

On July 20, at 2 p.m., practitioners gathered at the popular Yoyogi Park in Tokyo to do the exercises and tell people about the persecution.

Mr. Tanaka said the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance are very important.

Mr. Tanaka is aware of organ harvesting by the CCP. He said he voted for the candidate who is committed to stopping genocide by the CCP in elections to select members of the House of Councilors held that day. He told practitioners, “Although there are many political elements in the persecution, I hope you continue with your efforts.” He also praised the values of Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance, and said, “It is very important!”

Mr. Benjamin Garcia from Spain encouraged practitioners to continue telling people about the persecution.

Mr. Benjamin Garcia said, “Try your best and send my greetings to everyone. Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance are remarkable. Please cherish these values.”

Louis from Spain said everyone should follow Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance.

Louis expressed his support for Falun Gong and encouraged practitioners, “I cheer for all Falun Gong practitioners. Please persevere!” He also said, “I think everyone should live by the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance.”

Emmancel from Mexico said, “Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance are universal values.”

Emmancel from Mexcio said, “Please be strong and fight for your freedom and belief. All of us outside China support you. Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance are universal values. Regardless of background, culture, religion, we know what is a good person and the things he should do by following Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance.”

Candlelight Vigil Commemorates Those Who Died in the Persecution

As night fell, practitioners held a candlelight vigil to remember the victims of the persecution. It was a quiet, peaceful scene. Many participants said they felt surrounded by a strong energy.
