A Cultivator’s Actions Can Change Their Environment

(Minghui.org) I visited my daughter last year to help take care of my grandchild. While facing the new living environment, I continuously rectified myself. No matter how everyone in my family treated me, I responded with a cultivator’s mindset. I prepared meals for them, and, according to a cultivator’s standard, I ate the leftovers to avoid waste.

I didn’t demand much from my non-cultivating family and helped with household chores while also doing the three things. I tried to think of their needs so they could see the precious side of Dafa.

Given my continued efforts, the family environment has changed greatly. From initially not accepting Dafa, they now wait for me to send forth righteous thoughts before we have dinner. They also try to give me ample time to study the  Fa and do the exercises. I’ve also done well in studying, memorizing, and copying the Fa.

I take a shuttle bus to pick up and drop off my grandchild from school. Starting last year, I noticed a lot of trash on the floor of the bus, so I decide to clean it every day. At first, when the passengers saw me, they looked at me with strange expressions. Some even thought I was being paid.

I remember a parent once directed me to sweep certain areas and even asked me to clean more thoroughly. Another parent didn’t let me use a broom, so I picked up the trash by hand. In facing this environment, I was able to adapt. They later admired me when they realized I was also a passenger. Afterward, whenever they saw me cleaning, some parents would give me a thumbs up and even say, “You’re truly a good person. You’ll live to be a hundred!”

It ended up there were four buses that needed cleaning every day, and I couldn’t do it all by myself. A male parent then volunteered his assistance. I later found two more males to help out. And before I knew it, several women also joined in. I now find there are people on every bus who voluntarily pick up the trash. There happened to be a 73-year-old grandparent who initially looked down on me, but she now also pitches in.

In addition, the bus was very noisy at first; it was a cacophony of sound! I wanted to listen to Master Li’s Fa lectures, and figured out I could send forth righteous thoughts, clearing out all the interfering factors in other dimensions, and hold the thought: “May the knowing sides of these ordinary people remember, ‘Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassions-Forbearance is good,’ so they can have a beautiful future!”

After a period of time, the noise on the bus decreased, which shows that a Dafa disciples’ righteous energy field can play a restraining role. I can now listen to Master’s lectures, and have noticed that more people are changing for the better. I’ve also clarified the truth to several passengers and helped them do the “three withdrawals” from the Chinese Communist Party and its affiliated organizations. I believe more people will receive blessings from Dafa.

In short, I’ve realized that cultivators can change their surrounding environment. In the future, I’ll do even better because our words and actions are a righteous force for good. People can see the beauty of Dafa through us, so we’re able to awaken their consciences, and walk towards a beautiful future together.
