Italy: Introducing Falun Dafa in Udine

(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners in Italy held activities on Piazza Matteotti in Udine on May 31, 2025, introducing the benefits of Falun Dafa and exposing the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution of this peaceful mind-body cultivation practice. Many people signed a petition calling to stop the CCP’s atrocities.

Udine, the capital of Udine Province and a major city in the autonomous Friuli-Venezia Giulia region of Italy, is known for its rich history, beautiful architecture, and vibrant culture. Many tourists who visited the city last weekend were given the opportunity to learn about Falun Dafa and to express their support. Practitioners distributed fliers in different languages, and handed out elegant origami lotus flowers.

Many people stopped by at the Falun Dafa booth to learn more. They were appalled by the atrocities committed by the CCP regime against Falun Dafa practitioners over the past 26 years, and expressed great concern.

Background

Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong) was first introduced to the public by Master Li Hongzhi in Changchun, China, in 1992. Its teachings are based on the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance. Millions of people who have embraced Falun Dafa’s teachings and exercises have experienced improved health and well-being.

The spiritual discipline is now practiced in over 100 countries and regions worldwide. Falun Dafa’s main book Zhuan Falun. has been translated into 50 languages. Master Li Hongzhi, the founder of the practice, and Falun Dafa have received over 5,800 proclamations, awards, resolutions, and letters of support from governments. Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is cherished by people throughout the world. However, this practice is severely persecuted by the communist regime in China.
