We Demonstrated the Falun Gong Exercises While Being Interrogated

(Minghui.org) I’m a female Falun Gong practitioner, a retired teacher, over 80 years old. Last year, I went out with two other elderly practitioners to distribute informational materials telling people about Falun Gong and the persecution. After we finished, we headed back home.

While walking behind the other two practitioners, I heard a woman talking to some companions sitting next to her. “These old ladies are Falun Gong practitioners,” she said. “They’re distributing these materials to oppose the Chinese Communist Party [CCP].” Several of her companions also started making critical comments.

I couldn’t help but approach them. I said, “Falun Gong teaches people to be good and to follow the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. Nowadays, people’s morals are rapidly declining, which has caused all kinds of natural and man-made disasters. Many people are also suffering from strange illnesses.

“Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is the highest Buddha Fa. As long as one can keep these principles in mind, one will stay away from disaster and keep safe.”

While I was talking, one of the women called the police, ignoring a kind person’s advice not to call. I began to feel resentful and only later realized that my mindset was being taken advantage of by evil elements in another dimension.

A police vehicle arrived and several officers got out and surrounded us. They took pictures of us before forcing us into their vehicle. We were then taken to the police station.

During the interrogation, the officers asked us where we got our materials and tried to brainwash us with the Chinese Communist Party’s propaganda. The three of us refused to answer their questions; we firmly believed in Master and the Fa. One of the practitioners had strong righteous thought and shouted out, “Falun Gong is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good!” I then talked to the officers about the unjust nature of the persecution.

After two hours of interrogation, the younger police officers went off to eat, while an older officer stayed behind. He said that the CCP paid them pensions so that they could have a carefree retirement. He then slandered Falun Gong and blamed us for opposing the Party and disturbing social order.

I told him, “Take a good look at the brochures and calendars you’ve collected. We are advising people to be good and not to do bad things, and we’re telling them that good will be rewarded and evil will be punished. The CCP doesn’t give us our pension. The Party does not create any wealth. They live on our tax money. Our pensions are created through our many years of work.

“Taiwan does not have a Communist regime; however, their citizens receive much higher pensions than we do. Don’t the retirees in the countries without Communist regimes receive pensions too? They also have freedom of belief without this pressure. Plus, they’re happier than us!

“Falun Gong is righteous. When the Ministry of Public Security identified cults, it did not include Falun Gong. It was Jiang Zemin [the former Party leader] who persecuted Falun Gong out of jealousy and fabricated the Tiananmen self-immolation to turn people against Falun Gong.

“Anyone with some common sense could tell it was unreasonable that Wang Jindong’s face was burned, but his hair remained unscathed. Liu Siying supposedly had a tracheotomy, but she could still sing. And even the reporters who interviewed her in the burn unit did not wear hospital gowns or protective masks.

“Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance are universal virtues, and millions of people are practicing Falun Gong in over 100 countries worldwide. Falun Gong’s main book Zhuan Falun has also been translated into 50 languages.

“Why is Falun Gong loved by people around the world? It’s because it improves people’s morals and health, which benefits the countries they reside in. Only in mainland China is such a good practice being suppressed. The CCP deceives and poisons people with lies, and persecutes Falun Gong practitioners. I mentioned the law of heaven stipulates that good will be rewarded and evil will be punished. Many of the people who planned and participated in the ‘self-immolation’ have received karmic retribution.”

Upon hearing my words, the officer remained silent. After looking at the picture on the calendar of Falun Gong practitioners meditating, he asked, “You Falun Gong also have exercises?” I explained that the sitting meditation is the fifth exercise. Then we then demonstrated the fifth exercise to show him the beauty that Falun Gong brings to people. The three of us were released that afternoon and walked out of the police station with dignity.

Given this experience, I came to understand that when facing difficulties, as long as we have faith in Master and the Fa, we can overcome them. Openly telling the people the truth about Falun Gong is the best way. Thank you, Master, for your guidance and protection!
