I’m No Longer Afraid to Tell People About the Persecution

(Minghui.org) I always had difficulty clarifying the truth about Falun Dafa and the persecution. Each time I went out, I encouraged myself, “I’ve read many truth-clarification materials. I can do it.” But as soon as I tried to talk to a stranger, my mind would go completely blank, and I was so nervous that I couldn’t remember anything.

Master saw my urgent desire to save people and arranged two opportunities to enlighten me. Once was at a big market. I met a fellow practitioner who was clarifying the truth. With her calm demeanor, her quick and articulate speech, and her compassionate and peaceful presence, the people she talked to understood the truth, happily withdrew from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), and genuinely thanked her. I was deeply moved. The second time was also at a big market, where I encountered several practitioners who worked in pairs. They coordinated seamlessly, and complemented each other. The people they talked to also quickly understood the truth, happily quit the CCP, and expressed their thanks repeatedly. From these two encounters I realized Master was encouraging me, “Don’t be afraid! Study the Fa well, cultivate yourself well, harmonize with the one-body, and quickly take action to save people!”

During the slack farming season in winter, I brought lots of truth-clarification materials to the market, and distributed them while talking to people. I asked them to pass the materials on to their family and friends, neighbors and acquaintances after they read them, so that everyone would have a chance to learn the truth and receive blessings. They all happily agreed.

In the busy spring season, I brought small radios to market vendors who already understood the truth. I told them, “Take it with you when you go work in the mountains. You can listen while you work; it will give you a great mood, and your work will be more efficient!” Later on some of them told me, “Listening to the little radio indeed makes work less tiring and keeps me from feeling sleepy. It really gives me a better mood. I now understand that Falun Dafa is truly saving people! Many people in our village listen to the radio.” One said, “A friend took my little radio. I still want to listen to it!” I said, “No problem, I’ll bring you another one.”

Through these years of tempering myself in clarifying the truth, Master has given me great courage, enabling me to eliminate fear and clarify the truth openly and righteously. I’d like to share some memorable experiences with you.

I met an elderly man at a big market who looked like a retired official. I said, “How about I give you a Falun Gong flyer to read?” He said, “I don’t believe in that.” I asked, “Have you heard about quitting the CCP to ensure your safety?”

He said, “Many people told me about that over the years, asking me to quit, but I never did.” I said, “You’re really fortunate as so many people are concerned about you. Why wouldn’t you quit?”

He said, “It wasn’t easy to join the CCP. I’ve read your materials. Some parts are right, and some are wrong. The CCP has been good to me; it gives me a pension and takes care of me, so I won’t quit.” I responded, “The CCP fights against Heaven and Earth, promotes atheism, and demands that you forsake your humanity for Party loyalty. During the Cultural Revolution, students turned against teachers, children reported on their parents, and spouses betrayed each other. These inhumane acts were all a result of the CCP’s indoctrination. Do you think it’s good?” He listened silently, seeming to be thinking deeply.

I continued, “When you were young, you joined the CCP to have a better career. Now we’re old and don’t need it anymore. You should just quit. Look at how chaotic and corrupt society is now. Heaven cannot allow people to keep deteriorating, which is why there are pandemics and disasters. The elderly say that Heaven is taking people away. If you withdraw from the CCP from your heart and follow Heaven’s will, you will be able to survive the catastrophes.” He finally agreed and solemnly wrote his name on the palm of my hand. Another life was saved.

I went to a large, distant market to clarify the truth. Just as I arrived, I saw an old man walking out of the market, smiling warmly at me. I felt he was someone with a predestined relationship, so I quickly approached him and we greeted each other. I began talking to him directly about Falun Dafa and the persecution, and he agreed with me. As we chatted, three women came over and one asked me rudely, “Who are you and what are you doing?” I was momentarily stunned. Then, nearby vendors and a few other people started to gather. I wasn’t afraid. I looked squarely at the three women and asked, “Who are you?” The woman closest to me immediately backed down and muttered, “We’re his neighbors.”

The old man asked me, “Do you have any books? I’d like to read.” I took some truth-clarification materials out of my bag and gave them to him. He carefully tucked them into his chest pocket. He then asked, “Will I get to see you again?” I said, “If it’s destined, we’ll meet again.” He walked off happily, like a child. The small crowd around us dispersed.

I continued walking through the market, clarifying the truth and handing out materials. It was a large market, and before I even reached the end, my materials were nearly gone. At the far end of the market, I walked up to a motorized tricycle and greeted the vendor, “Are you selling corn?” He quickly stood up and asked, “What would you like?” I replied, “I’d like to give you something good. Here are some materials about Falun Dafa for you to read.” Upon hearing that, his expression changed instantly. He shouted toward the vendors on both sides of the road, “Falun Dafa! Falun Dafa!”

I asked, “What has Falun Dafa done to offend you?” He then put his hand into his pocket to reach for his phone. I wasn’t afraid. I looked at him with righteous thoughts and said, “Falun Dafa is a high-level Buddhist practice. Those who understand the truth receive blessings.” At that moment, a nearby vendor came over and said, “Don’t listen to her.” The corn vendor yelled at me, “You’re from the city. You receive money from the CCP, and yet you do this to oppose the CCP!” I leaned closer and said, “A person’s fate is determined by Heaven. Your money is earned through your own labor and based on your blessings. It’s not something given to you by the CCP. Take your corn, for example. It’s grown through your own hard work, and you actually have to pay taxes to the CCP. In what other country do citizens have to thank their president for making a living from their own labor? It’s the hardworking Chinese people who feed the CCP, not the other way around.”

He said that there were people in his village who practiced Falun Dafa, and they did something that offended him. I asked, “At school, do all students taught by the same teacher all get perfect scores?” He didn’t answer. After a pause, I gently explained to him the truth behind the staged ‘Tiananmen self-immolation’ incident and the false ‘1400 cases,’ as well as some basic facts about Falun Dafa. I said, “Do you know why the CCP persecutes Falun Dafa? Because Falun Dafa teaches Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, while the CCP promotes falsehood, evil, and struggle. That’s why it cannot tolerate Falun Dafa and is desperate to eliminate it.”

While I talked, he reached into his pocket for his phone several times but kept putting it back. In the end, he took his hand out completely and he looked relaxed. I knew he understood the truth. I said, “Life is often full of hardships. When you face difficulties, remember to say, ‘Falun Dafa is good; Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.’ This can help you avoid calamities and turn misfortune into blessings.” I waved goodbye to him and saw that the vendors on both sides of the road were all busy with their own business, as if nothing had happened.

One day while I was clarifying the truth at the market, it suddenly started to rain. I kept walking and noticed a woman selling melons. I said, “You’re working so hard!” She replied, “The city inspectors didn’t come today, so I can sell here.” I said, “It’s not easy for farmers to come to the city and try to make a little money.” She agreed, “Yes, this society is really no good.” I asked, “Have you heard of quitting the CCP to stay safe?” She said, “In fact, just now, a woman gave me a Falun Dafa amulet.” As she spoke, she opened a box and showed it to me. I said, “You’re really fortunate. Do you know why people quit the CCP?” She said she didn’t. I explained what Falun Dafa is, and about the persecution. She listened attentively. She repeatedly thanked me, and said she understood now.

Before leaving, I gave her a truth-clarification booklet, which she carefully placed in her box. I said, “Tell your family too, so they can all understand the truth and receive blessings.” She replied loudly, “I will!”
