(Minghui.org) Ms. Mu Hua, 55, from Changchun City, Jilin Province, was sentenced to four years for practicing Falun Gong, a spiritual discipline that has been persecuted by the Chinese Communist Party since July 1999.
Ms. Mu was arrested at her mother’s home on April 30, 2024, by officers from the Nanhu Police Station. They raided her home and confiscated her Falun Gong books and computer.
It was learned in February 2025 that her family received a prison admission notice that had no date to indicate when she was incarcerated. Only then did they find out about her prison sentence. Prior to that, they were not given any updates about her case status. They still don’t know when she was indicted, tried, or sentenced.
Ms. Mu’s prison sentence came after she finished a prior two-year sentence in August 2022. She was forced to sit on a small stool for long hours while serving the term at the Jilin Province Women’s Prison.
