(Minghui.org) The Tian Guo Marching Band participated in Santa Claus Parades in five cities, including Pickering, Ajax, Markham, Bolton, and Stouffville, on November 22 through December 6, 2025. Many people learned about Falun Dafa (Falun Gong) at the events.
Spectators welcomed the band, and some people clapped or danced to the music. Others took pictures or imitated the practitioners’ movements when they demonstrated the Falun Dafa exercises.

People Wish to Learn How to Practice Falun Dafa

Carol, a real estate professional in Ajax, Ontario, participated in the parade in Ajax with her group. Before the parade, she noticed that the Tian Guo Marching Band members were doing the Falun Dafa exercises. She talked with a practitioner who told her about Falun Dafa’s principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, and she asked to be shown the exercises.
Carol said, “I like to connect with my thoughts, body, and spirit. I think when we feel sad and uneasy, it’s because we want to fix the things around us, but in reality, it’s our inner selves that need healing. I like traditional cultures and wisdom because I believe ancient people discovered the root of problems. My mother told me that attending school is the beginning of learning. I think this ancient practice is true learning.” She said she felt more focused after doing the exercises.
“Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is easy to understand. I think the whole world needs these principles,” she said.

Kevin and Jennifer own a car dealership in Stouffville, and sponsored the Stouffville Santa Claus Parade. During the planning stages, the couple asked the organizers to find a band to participate in the parade, and the Tian Guo Marching Band was invited. The couple sponsored the band in the parade.
Jennifer took photos and videos with her cellphone while the band rehearsed. After the band played a piece of music, she asked her employees to post the video on social media, and excitedly told the band members, “The band played in perfect harmony, the rhythm was precise, and it was full of festive atmosphere, bringing joy to the parade.” She also liked the band’s costumes, “Very beautiful clothes, and the headpieces are gorgeous.”
The practitioner gave a flyer to the couple. Jennifer said after looking at the flyer, “I did not know this before. Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is great. Practicing Falun Dafa can help people be healthy and reach inner tranquility.”
Kevin commended the band and said their participation made the event even more lively. While he read the flyer with information about the CCP’s persecution, he told a practitioner, “We need to ensure such things don’t happen in Canada.”
People Appreciate the Tian Guo Marching Band

Tania, who lives in Pickering, said it was the first time she’s seen the band. “The band is nice. The music is great. The members bring the joy of Christmas. I like it very much, and I feel great.”
After she learned Falun Dafa’s guiding principles are Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, she said, “I love these values and I follow them. These three words are wonderful; they convey a beautiful message.”
Pia liked the Tian Guo Marching Band.
Pia, who lives in Bolton, was a volunteer for the Santa Claus Parade. She recorded the Tian Guo Marching Band’s performance, and said, “This is the first time I’ve seen the band. Their costumes are beautiful, and the music is wonderful. I’m also happy to see people of different age groups in the band. It’s great.” She said she would upload her recording to her Facebook account so more people could see the band’s performance.
Pia also noted the banner worded, “Falun Dafa,” which was carried in front of the band. After she learned that Falun Dafa is based on the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, and that people of various ages practice it and benefit from it, Pia said, “We need to be kind and sincere, especially in the current social environment.”
Hilda watched the parade in Bolton.
This was the third time that Hilda, an IT manager in Bolton, saw the band, “The band is wonderful and beautiful. The members are very professional, and the music is delightful. I enjoy their performances every year,” she said.
After learning about Falun Dafa’s guiding principles, Hilda said, “Truthfulness is very important; people need to be honest with themselves and others. Compassion is also crucial. We should be kind to others, not just to ourselves. As for Forbearance, I think that in today’s multicultural and diverse society, everyone needs to understand and respect each other.”
