(Minghui.org) The 91st Chicago Thanksgiving Parade was held on November 27, 2025. It was the coldest day of the winter so far in Chicago, yet many spectators lined the streets to watch.
Time Out magazine has ranked the Chicago parade as the fourth most popular Thanksgiving Parade in the United States this year. Groups from across the country and local organizations took part the historic parade.

Falun Dafa practitioners have participated in the parade for 22 consecutive years. Their entry this year included a flag team, exercise demonstration team, and a large float.

Live Broadcasts Show Falun Gong Entry
The parade was broadcast live on CBS Chicago, simultaneously aired on Pluto TV, and rebroadcast on canTV, greatly expanding the number of parade viewers. CBS Chicago, as the host of the live broadcast, used clips of the Falun Dafa entry from the 2024 parade in its 34-second trailer.

Introducing Dafa in the Cold
Though it was very cold, parade participants warmly performed and spectators happily watched the show. The Falun Dafa entry drew warm applause from the spectators. Many people took photos and videos with their phones. Spectators accepted flyers and origami lotus flowers from practitioners and many told practitioners that Dafa’s principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance are the values that society needs most today.
Practitioner Autumn said that she held a banner while waving to the audience. She saw them welcoming the Falun Dafa entry. “People read the words ‘Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance’ on our banner,” she said. “Some audience members imitated the hand gestures of the practitioners demonstrating the exercises. They welcomed the exercise demonstration and the celestial fairy dancing on the float.”
Ms. Zhang was part of the exercise-demonstration team. She said she saw many people following along with their hand gestures, “Our exercise movements are gentle and slow, benefiting health. We were happy to see the audience learning from us.”
She said that Thanksgiving is a holiday that causes her to reflect and appreciate Falun Dafa all the more. Her parents and children have all benefited from practicing Dafa. “I’m truly grateful to practice cultivation,” she said. “I hope people can feel the positive energy and warmth from Falun Dafa on the cold holiday via this parade.”

Spectators Commend Falun Gong
Joyce Moriarty, a tourist from Kansas, commended Falun Dafa’s principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance shown in the parade. She said, “I agree with these principles. The world would be better with them. I believe everyone needs these principles. And the float is gorgeous.”

Ekta and Jitesh Virwani from Naperville, Illinois said, “The Falun Dafa parade is great and is the one we like most.” Ekta said she was interested in learning about the practice and praised Dafa’s principles, “They are amazing.”

Holly Woessner and her family are from Michigan. Holly told a practitioner, “You have a beautiful float. I am glad to learn about your practice. Thank you for sharing it.”

Tod and Krista Amstutz, and their children are from Ohio. They said they were impressed with the Falun Dafa entry. Tod called it, “Amazing!” and Krista added, “I like your float. Gorgeous!”

Carolina Martinez and her two daughters had traveled to Chicago from Colombia in South America. Carolina said the Falun Dafa entry was the best. She said, “Wow! Gorgeous! We all like it and think it’s the best!”

Chicago residents Gomez and his wife Gaby said they were happy to learn about Falun Dafa. Gaby said, “I’d like to learn more about this practice.” She was happy to see the Falun Dafa float. She said, “The float is gorgeous! I’m happy to see you here.”
